Chapter 369 369: The Glade Wars 2 I
?
Tehila huffed, it was humid, and she was getting sweat in places she didn't want to get sweat in. But never the less this was the sacrifice she had to pay in order to actually get some things done. But regardless, she would have to look into some weather altering technology or magic, cause this heat really was making it harder for her to think.
The northern glade had a theme, red clothes, robes, and practically anything you could imagine that would scream the words ' Blood Cult' or something similar with equally nefarious sounding names. Tehila was just here with Morgan, Cassandra and Delarosa. Irma and Pollux were at the moment trying to prepare the Raen army for an assault. Should the need arise for it of course.
The Delegation from the northern Glade on the other hand were close to two hundred strong. All of them seem to be females from the way their bodies were highlighted by the thick hooded robes they wore. The robes were also blood red, with the one leading them having a golden trim around the edge of her own robe and the hood.
She was familiar to Tehila, and this was because she had not missed a single episode of Cole's streams, even though they end up very edited, sometimes were still left for others to see. And one of them would definitely have to be the fact that she was looking at the blood mage that had almost killed Cole and Eze, leading an assault on Raen Valley by infiltrating it just to prove a point. All in all she was facing a very dangerous entity that was equal in power to Cole and Eze…..and basically she was just a delegate.
"Lady Night, you honor me with your presence" the lead Blood mage spoke as darklings littered the edge of their delegation. Tehila swallowed, there was an oppressive atmosphere here, every single one of them were gold ranked, and while she had gold ranks of her own behind her. They were still outnumbered, but then again with Delarosa here, Tehila did not think that was even an odd against them.
But the knowledge that she was surrounded by powerful Gold rank individuals loyal to her husband. Was not enough to take from the fact that she was an under leveled silver rank playing politics with Low to Peak gold rankers. They all could destroy her with a sneeze. But she needed to keep her feet on the ground...she knew what she represented. What it was now, and most definitely what it would be in the future...she could not afford to cower.
"I wish I knew your name sister, but never the less you do me great honor with your presence also." Tehila did not care for this posh round about way of speaking. But she was dealing with not just foreign dignitaries but alien dignitaries or as Alien as people in another universe can possibly get. When in Rome she had to do as the Romans do.
"Sister? I like you human. This one is known as Renako, High Sanguine Pontifex Of Sanctum Sanguinise. Or to be straight forward it means I'm the boss here, hehehehe now child tell me. Why have you called for this ridiculous charade, I can destroy you, you know. Mind, body, and soul, all two bodies mind you. Erase you from existence so that it would be like you never existed. Is the greed of your power hungry husband worth your life. A man's need to validate himself, to make himself feel big, and you cater to it. If it's not him who becomes lord of the Grand Valley then no one else can right?
You called me sister, but I am ashamed to be a sister to one such as you who has let a man dictate how her life could be. Do not bother saying anything, I will keep true to my course for it is one born of my own volition and drive, not the whims of a penis. You are beautiful sister, all of you. And you have such a wise and intelligent head on all your shoulders…..you should join me."
"Oh!...so you're that kind bitch." Tehila said to herself as she shrugged, then groaned, then her snapped down. Every form of hesitation or doubt about her place here was gone. It was as if somehow she had become the person with a higher rank, a form of mindset that was affecting reality. Tehila thought herself better and reality itself was literally twisting into itself to make it so.
Delarosa narrowed her eyes as she took a few steps backwards. She wouldn't be exaggerating when she said, Tehila felt wrong to her. Or maybe not wrong, but that everything around her was puzzle, constantly mixing, twisting, changing in infinite variations to make the same outcome over and over again or a different one. It was weird, so much so the feeling gave Delarosa a burnt citrus feeling at the back of her tongue.
Her eyes widened as she took a couple of steps backwards. But it was not just her, even the sanguine whatever the fuck she was Pontifex moved back a couple of steps away from Tehila. Until finally the feeling faded away into nothing. However the head of the delegation had a look on her face that was practically manic as she turned to her delegations with fury in her eyes before turning and pointing at Tehila.
"Kill Her! Kill The Prophet! Kill It! Kill It! Kill The Oracle!"
The entire delegation was whipped up into a frenzy as skills began to take shape, some of them taking to the air and others going straight for the target. Delarosa wasted no time appearing in front of Tehila and summoning a portal to the shadow realm that swallowed every attack that had been sent her way.
The Grand Valley was no longer the prize, that had become Tehila. And right now Delarosa had to get her away from here and keep her safe as long as she could until Cole get's back here...…an Oracle was about to be born, and that has made Tehila the universe's bigger target, not Cole and definitely not earth....things just went from bad to worst.
