“How can I tell them about something like this?’ Blake shook her head. Her parents would rage at her if she did.

Moreover, Alec might think that what they had was fake, but Blake didn’t share the same sentiment.

She noticed he was unhappy and said, ‘It’s fine if you don’t want to go. We’re just going to have a simple meal. I told my father you wished to be the Fausts’ next heir. He thinks favorably of you. He’s probably inviting you over to talk about this.”
