“Apologies. I need to take this.” He sounded apologetic as he got up with the phone in hand.

The caller ID had only one name on it, but Blake could instantly guess it was Jenny.
The rage in her heart sizzled. Alec was her man. She had bet the entire Watkins family on him, so she couldn’t bear to lose him to Jenny.
