To Deprive a Deprived Person

Chapter 7

Chapter 7

Kast is the guild branch head of the Resser village. He was dissatisfied with leading a guild in a remote village. Blinded by greed he asked Hage to extort a little boy named Yu.

Why?

Because he wanted Yu to gather herbs for free. He could either comply or get kicked out. Originally, Yu should have been getting 9 copper moon coins, but he have been giving him only a third of them. Because the herbs that he brings were of superior quality, the original reward was increased. Seeing that kind of free money, how could he not be blinded by it?

Suddenly, the guild hall door was opened.

“Fat uncle, I’ve come to take what should be mine.”

He saw Yu barging in with a flat expression on his face.

“I want to claim all of the rewards that you didn’t give to me.”

Kast was thinking hard, “Why has his attitude changed so suddenly ? Why does he act so haughty? If Hage saw him, he could be killed.”

Yu took out something from his back. It was Hage’s long sword.

“You, how could you have gotten a long sword?” ( Did the tool shop sell him a sword? Wait, is that blood on the sword?)

But Yu didn’t say anything. He took out his guild card and put it in front of Kast.

“I know that this guild card is fake. I wonder what would happen if I were to make a complaint to the Guild hall in the capital.”

“Huh? How could you even reach the capital?”

Kast knew that he would be in trouble if Yu really were to make a complaint, but how could a small child like him travel to the capital?

“Then, you mustn’t have realized whose sword this is.”

Kast eyes widened when he noticed that.

“Did you kill Hage?”

“I don’t have any obligation to give you an answer. Just give me my rewards or I don’t know what might happen to you.”

Kast was sweating bullets. The cause was the young boy that he wanted to exploit. Now their positions have been reversed. Because he had a good relationship with Hage, he was using him to threaten Yu. However, since Hage was now no longer around and might have been killed by Yu, Kast realized the situation he was in. He silently put the reward that he was cutting off from Yu’s rewards on the table.

“If only you were honest from the start.”

While taking the money, Yu didn’t forget to make sure that Kast would feel deprived in the future. He activated [Depriver] and managed to get [Blacksmith Lvl 1] and [Alchemy Lvl 1].

He didn’t want to take those skills, but he thought of it as an ‘interest’ from holding back his rewards.

“Don’t come again to the guild hall! It’s better when you don’t even come again to the village!”

“Even if you didn’t say that, I don’t want to come again.”

Yu took the back door to exit the village.

“Now, what should I do? In the hindsight, Blacksmith and Alchemy may come in handy in the future. It will let me to craft various things.”

He was thinking, while heading home when suddenly, he saw someone. It was the woman that he had seen before. But at that time he had only seen her from afar.

The woman had fiery red hair and her body was clothed in leather armour. Just in case, Yu looked at her status.

“She is even stronger than Hage? Even her status is better.”

However, Yu didn’t know that fate has brought them together. They will have a long relationship, but will it be hate or love? This first encounter will determine it.
