Chapter 174: Northwest region and A goal

The ship has docked. But the sail is not stretched.

"Why is that, Captain Sparrow?" asked Elisa. 

"Because that will only slow down our travel."

A question mark icon appeared above Elisa's head.

The purpose of a sail on a ship is to catch the wind and propel the ship across the water.

"But the Southwest stream is unique. The water flows towards the north. But the wind is heading south."

The explanation was too simple for a complex question for Elisa to understand.

To clarify, Mike licked the index finger of his right hand, then pointed up.

Elisa did that on reflex too, and her finger could feel the wind blowing hard southward. 

"Wow! But how?"

"The real question is, why?"

They won't be able to answer that 'how' question. Because Abyssal Terra is a world created by Abyssal God. And they won't be able to know unless they ask the god directly.

"We are near the stream."

Elisa stood behind the helm, Captain Sparrow himself. Since the sails were not stretched out, they could see ahead easily from the top deck.

"Um, is that, the southwest stream?"

Elisa became worried at the sight she saw.

Downstream swift river flow. Creates a big sound because of the heaviness.

"Miss Arlene!"

Elisa reflexively retreated to Arlene who was standing at the back, close to the deck rail.

"This might be a little dangerous. So, put this on."

"A rope?"

Arlene tied Elisa's waist. She held the rope as a precaution.

"Take out wings and tail!"

Two wings and one tail of a bird came out of the three body parts of the ship.

Southwest stream is in sight. The cheers from those on the deck and stream merged, making the atmosphere even more lively. 

Everyone was so excited, except for Elisa.

"Miss Arlene, I think I want to move inside!"

"It's too late, girl! Hold on!"

The ship entered the stream and hurtled rapidly downward.

"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

Everyone screamed in joy, except for Elisa.

The bird's wings and tail function to take advantage of the wind when it glides. Unlike white water rafting, cruising the southwest stream with hundreds of tons of payload is quite dangerous if the ship not put on launch support.

The captain eagerly controlled the wings and tail of the ship.

She flew backward.

"Waaaaaaaaaa!"

Luckily, Arlene tied a rope around her waist, so she survived.

"Gotchu!"

"Waaaaaa! That's so scary!"

This time Elisa held on to Arlene to further ensure her safety.

The current continued until they met calmer water.

"Is it done? Are we there yet?"

Elisa opened her eyes, tried to confirm and looked around.

Abyssal Terra / Floor 2 

Calm Carnivore Water /

Definition / Calm Carnivore Water is located in the middle of the northwest region. Hunting area full of dangerous and tasty fish.

Track: Water 

Travel time distance: Half an Hour

Ruins of Ancient Cognition monsters: 

1.      Many kind of fish

2.      Terralodon

3.      Albacore Pirate

They are still half way from the destination region.

"Oh, I don't like where this is going."

Being able to read the atmosphere, Elisa immediately ran towards the deck door.

However, before he could enter, there is another ship approached them.

The captain of the ship, Mike, talks to the captain of the ship next door.

Intrigued, Elisa waited to hear what information she could get. Arlene followed and waited behind her.

"A Terralodon!"

Mike Sparrow suddenly shouted that out.

It was like a monster name, fish monster. But Elisa has no information about that monster.

"What is Terralodon, Miss Arlene?"

"It's a Megalodon, but the size is greater. And I think, you want to go inside before you witness that monster come to us."

Following Arlene's warning, a roar came from the water. Something huge was swimming towards them, something very big Elisa shivered and immediately ran inside after seeing it.

A big battle broke out between the two Hunter ships and the Calm Water Carnivore's monster.

Elisa didn't want to see that and just waited on the passenger deck. Until finally the ship returned to anchor to the stream, towards the northwest region.

The two of them sat in the front seats, close to the see-through windows, so they could see outside. Although Elisa spends her time sleeping on the table.

"Elisa, look!"

Arlene suddenly lured her to wake up.

"But I will not get hooked, Miss Arlene."

"There is another ship, they are flying to the south!"

Hearing the word fly made Elisa think of someone. So she opened her eyes and saw, that there is other ships were flying with their hot air balloons and sails stretched out, in the opposite direction from their destination.

The people on the flying ship cheered them on. As they rapidly gliding, passing them. Elisa did not close her mouth when she witnessed that moment.

"So that's how if we want to go back to the south?"

"Yeah. But I doubt if we can go back."

Northwest Region / 

Finally they reached their destination after an hour and a half travel.

They arrived safely, but not for one certain girl.

"Laaaaaaaandd! I love land!"

Mike Sparrow came to Arlene with a question.

"Is she okay?"

"Just a quick mental breakdown. She will be fine after drinking hot tea."

Arlene's motorbike and some of their belongings had been removed. But before they leave, Arlene has one question for Mike.

"That Silver woman, she is still here, right?"

"Yes, try to look for her in the guild. She is always there every morning, waiting for someone to pick her."

"Good."

Hearing that conversation, Elisa could tell that the word 'Silver' was referring to someone, and most likely related to the Seven Color Weapon.

"Could I ask something to this young lady?"

Mike suddenly wanted to talk to Elisa about something.josei

"Please ask, sir. As long as I can answer it."

"This is just a simple question. Every time I look at you, I can feel a very familiar aura. The aura of a warm, and strong someone."

Elisa was made to think at Old Mike's expression. She tried to guess who the person the Legend Hunter was talking about.

"Could this be, you..."

"Are you perhaps mentioning about my foster mother, sir?"

"Your foster mother?"

Arlene who answered the question. "She is the foster child of Maria Christina."

Mike got a little surprised at that fact.

"Mother Maria is warm, and strong person. She is also the Administrator of Cathedral. I wouldn't be surprised if you two knew each other, sir."

That's not the person Mike was trying to ask. However –

"No wonder you look like her."

"Is that so? Everytime I told someone that I am Mother Maria's foster child, they always said that."

Mike did think that the young girl in front of him and the Soul Saint's Children did have something in common. But in his mind he still did not expect, such a coincidence could happen.

"By the way."

Arlene took over the conversation. 

"This will be your last voyage, right sir?"

"Hmm, I don't know about that. If you asked, I still want to drive one of those three big ships."

Mike pointed up at the three super ships that were over the city. Three ships that have a height of more than 100 meters and large like a mountain.. 

Elisa glared at the scene. "They are, the Noah."

The promised ships, tthe Noah.

"Because of the previous tense travel, I had forgotten that the ships were here."

Because of the hugeness, Elisa had to look up to see the whole ship as a whole.

"If I live to see the end, I really want to ride them out of this world."

"You will."

Mike's request got answered by someone.

"Please take care of yourself until then. The man who had been promised would end this game of god."

Mike was surprised because he heard it from a little girl. A little girl that looked at him full of determination and trust.

"Then I'll wait for that moment to come, in this promised city."

He walked in the mild wilderness. Heading north with his black sword in his back, and Silver Staff in his left hand. Her long silver hair glistened silver in the sun.

He continued walking until he found someone lying on the ground. 

A man he didn't recognize his face. One thing that characterizes the man is, his hair is sticky to the back.

She didn't understand why that man was living in a no man's desert like that. So, she took the man back to town.
