Chapter 124 - Haki: Internal Destruction

Chapter 124 - Haki: Internal Destruction

Another purple lightning struck Blaize's body bringing forth a tingling sensation. With his current strength, he didn't feel much pain but the feeling of lightning flickering across his body felt weird.

This kind of intense training is effective as he felt his constitution improving. When looked at his status panel he noticed his constitution attribute has risen to '64.7' from 64.3.

This is the result of him training hard for four days after his encounter with the Crystal pirates. Adding another '0.3' points from his free attribute points, Blaize pushed his constitution to '65'.

[~ Name: Blaize Hunt

Occupation: Marine

Constitution: 65..0

Devil Fruit: 60.7

Haki: 60.8

Free attribute point: 1.0 ~]

After resting for a few minutes, Blaize's injuries caused by the lightning bolts healed completely. He then moved on to practice the advanced concept of Armament Haki: Internal Destruction.

During the battle against Crystal, he unconsciously used it when he was forced into a desperate situation. It's not something he would forget, closing his eyes he recalled them once again.

His right hand turned royal purple as haki gathered in his arm. Blaize punched at the nearby tree. He didn't force his Haki as he let it flow freely without trying to harden his arm like normal times.

'POW!' A ring-shaped blast followed.

His fist halted a few centimeters away from the tree but the force from the punch left a fist-shaped mark on the front side of the trunk while its backside is completely destroyed.

'Good!' Blaize mentally thought and repeated the process so that he won't forget the feeling.

There's a reason why he's training in such a hurry, as he planned to fight Admiral Aokiji tomorrow. Besides, the system will grant him some free attribute points once he defeats an Admiral.

He needs to make everything count if he wants to take down the Crystal pirates.

Training till evening, Blaize returned to the ship. He saw Kuina on the deck of the ship, swinging her sword even with all the bandages wrapped from her neck to her stomach.

She survived that day thanks to the new ability that he gained after pushing his devil fruit attribute over 60 points and Kuina's life force is also tenacious.

Seeing him, Kuina greeted. "Blaize-san, you are back!"

"Didn't I tell you to rest for another day? Your injuries haven't healed yet." Blaize reprimanded in a lighter tone while Kuina stayed silent.

Shaking his head, he asked: "Where's Regis and Rosinante?"

Kuina replied, "They are with Admiral Aokiji, who arrived half an hour ago."

'He came,' Blaize was surprised as he thought with Kuzan's lazy personality he won't come.

"Ok. Kuina, you go and get rest. No training for two days." Blaize sternly said and left to meet Kuzan.

Arriving at the back of the ship, he saw Kuzan loafing about in a lounge chair while Regis and Rosinante stood some distance away.

Both Regis and Rosinante had the appearance of a mummy with bandages all over them. Not just them, most of the soldiers in his unit were injured that day.

Twenty-three soldiers lost their lives while some were heavily injured. The battle against the Crystal pirates is the biggest failure that Blaize had ever suffered.

"I am surprised, I thought you won't come!" Blaize spoke.

Kuzan didn't reply to his question but started speaking about the battle. "It looks like all the Four Emperors of the sea are not easy figures to mess with. I didn't expect that even with your strength, you would be forced to this extent."

"You praise me too much. And, the Crystal pirates are really strong. Though they are the weakest of all four, they aren't to be underestimated." Blaize shook his head and asked,

"I heard that madman Kaido attacked the Marineford, what happened?"

Kuzan was silent for a moment before replying, "To be honest, as Admirals we aren't a match for 'Yonko', their strength is overwhelming.

Kaido wasn't this strong during Roger's time but now, I don't think aside from Whitebeard and BigMom, no one can take him down. His forces also grew rapidly, now it's almost on par with Whitebeard."

"Did you fight him?" Blaize asked, a little excited.

"Yes but I am not his match. Even with Sengoku and Garp-san joining the battle, he was able to escape." Kuzan replied.

"I missed such an opportunity, to exchange blows with the 'Strongest creature'." Blaize sighed, gazing at the setting sun.

"You are crazy. Did you forget you nearly lost your life to a Yonko just a week before?" Kuzan rolled his eyes.

Blaize grinned and replied, "Both are different matters"

"So why did you call me? Don't ask me to fight you, it's too troublesome."

Hearing his words, Blaize smiled. He knew Kuzan would say that, it's also why he directly asked Sengoku so that the latter won't refuse his request.

"I need your help! I am on the verge of grasping a new Haki concept but I need someone of equal strength to force me to the edge." Blaize openly said.

"But, why should I bother to fight you?" Kuzan asked.

"Come on, can't you help a friend in need? Furthermore, take it as I owe you one." Blaize said and Kuzan agreed.

"We will battle tomorrow."

--

The next day,

Some kilometer's away from Raijin Island, Blaize and Kuzan stood face to face in the middle of the sea that's frozen by the Ice-Ice fruit.

"Kuzan, strike me with an intent to kill. Don't show mercy, otherwise, the entire thing would be pointless." Blaize spoke, stretching his body.

"Ready?" Suddenly, Blaize's entire presence changed while he directly released his Conqueror's haki.

Kuzan could tell Blaize is being serious, sensing the strong will radiating from the latter. He inaudibly muttered, 'So be it,' and prepared himself for the attack.

The next moment, Blaize's figure blurred and the next moment, he arrived before Kuzan throwing a punch.
