Twin Soul

Book 2

Book 2: Chapter 8 (8/9)

Scanned around the Meeting Hall real quick, Etgar smirked and taunted his enemies, “You guys are such cowards. I’m here by myself but you won’t dare to attack me and only send those dogs to do your bidding. Such a disappointment.”

Dying won’t be a problem since all the Light Mages they have brought can use [Resurrection] spell to revive that Black Mage. The problem is that Black Mage won’t be able to cast any other magic spell for the next twenty-eight days making him a useless piece of shit.

“Lords, what do you guys think? I don’t see any trap that could be hidden here. If we don’t fight now, this Blood Mage will massacre all of my twenty Saint-tier Members.” Lord Krasnaia said.

Lord Fasketel thought real quick for several seconds and asked Etgar, “Guild Master of the Blood Mages Guild, how do you know that we are going to attack your base today? This was reckoned to be a surprise attack and you weren't supposed to have time to evacuate your Guild Members.”

Etgar laughed out loud and asked, “Are you stupid or just retarded? Why would I reveal to you that the King of Sungaria Kingdom betrayed the Mages Council and told me that there are many strong magic casters recently arrived and told me to be careful? Oops, I have accidentally told you the secret. Well, it’s not a problem since all of you will die anyway.”

“Did the King of Sungaria Kingdom betray the Mages Council? It seems to make sense as no one else knew about we are going to attack the Blood Mages Guild secret hideout today.” Wrenn thought to himself.

Did the King of Sungaria Kingdom betray the Mages Council? Of course not. There is someone who is associated with a ‘high ranking official’ in the Mages Council letting Etgar know about David Bodwyn was exposed as a Blood Mage in front of Gwenn Bigham, Noe Clerico, and Kath Donoghan. This is how Etgar planned to turn the tide in his favor by telling David to not make any contact with other Blood Mages who went undercover in the Mages Council. Etgar also commanded David to associates and hold secret meetings with Executioners and Members of Colors that are not Blood Mages. In that way, the Mages Council will waste a lot of time investigating and interrogating wrongly accused subjects. As soon as the Mages Council planned on attacking Blood Mages Guild, David was advised to return to his true identity as a Blood Mage and hide in the new secret hideout. The secret hideout built underground of the Sungaria Kingdom was too old anyway, Etgar will use this opportunity to kill as many magic casters of the Mages Council as possible before abandoning it.

Who is this ‘high ranking official’ of the Mages Council that has been helping the Blood Mages Guild? Take a guess. That person is going to be revealed very soon, approximately 987 chapters from now.

Wrenn commanded, “Beside Lords of Colors and the Members of the White, everyone else must attack this Blood Mage. Kill him at all cost! Lord Vaelbe, please have the Members of the White to heal, recover mana, and revive our allies.”

Dasha said, “I got it. My members will focus on providing support.”

Over three thousand magic casters mixed with Master-tiers, Legend-tiers, and Saint-tiers casted their powerful spells toward Etgar Revenmar. Etgar was waiting for this moment as he activated [Haze Mode] to transform himself into vapor for five seconds and granted him immunity to all types of damages. After the five seconds were over, Etgar immediately received a tremendous amount of damage resulting in creating injuries all over his body but they were instantly healed by the passive ability of his [Abyssal Flesh] form combined with active healing from [Blood Extricate] spell. Etgar flew toward the Master-tier magic casters and started massacring them despite continuously being attacked by all magic casters. To prepare for this battle, Etgar collected all over two hundred Blood Equipment from his Guild Members to help him ensure remained implicitly impossible to be eliminated. This was why Etgar dared to fight alone while having his Guild Members evacuated to their new secret hideout.

“This is absurd. He kept on healing all injuries instantly. Even when his body parts were almost destroyed completely, he could still recover them in an instant. How long does it take to kill such a person? Is this the true power of a Saint Blood Mage?” Lord Mork expressed his concern regarding Etgar’s ability to repeatedly instant self-heal.

As a level 51 Saint Blood Wind Mage, Etgar’s magical power wasn’t supposed to be that strong. However, due to the active buff from the [Blood Extricate] combined with [Bloodlust] spells, all of his magic spells were greatly enhanced. “Three Blood Rings had reached depletion in under ten minutes of fighting with them. At my current level, I may not be able to keep them busy as long as I needed to.” Etgar thought to himself. Etgar wasn’t trying to kill all the magic casters that the Mages Council have sent. At his current level, there is no possible way for him to do it. Etgar was trying to force his enemies to put as much of their mana on him as possible and his goal was to make as many of them reach mana depletion before pulling his trump card.

“Our Saint-tier Executioners and Members can’t use their self-created Saint-tier spells here because those spells are too powerful and space here is just too narrowed. If they do, friendly fire may occur. Should we draw him outside?” Lord Fosnes asked.

Lord Fasketel asked back, “How do you propose we draw him out? What if he continued to stay in here? Even if we successfully draw him out. Can we guarantee to keep him from fleeing?”

“You are right. His ability to continuously recover injuries is insane. It would be possible for him to escape from us if we let him come outside.”

“Even when they can’t use powerful spells, the number advantage is still on our side. From my experience, the Blood Mage can only heal himself when using human blood stored inside his Magical Blood Equipment. We must continue attacking him until his Blood Equipment runs out of blood.”

“Lord Fasketel, I don’t see he has any Blood Ring on his fingers.” A female Legend-tier Executioner said.

“He may have several Blood Pendants. Continue to attack, stop asking the nonsense questions.”

“But that wasn’t a question.” The Legend-tier Executioner said as she continued to attack. josei

Lord Fosnes was right. Etgar doesn’t have any Blood Ring on this clone. The real Etgar was hiding outside of the Blood Mages Guild’s secret hideout changing Blood Rings after Blood Rings by that way his clone here can continuously fight without interruption. Etgar’s clone didn’t use any Wind Magic spell to prevent the enemies from knowing that he is a Blood Wind Mage. In that way, they wouldn’t know that they are fighting with a clone and continue to fall deeper into the trap Etgar had set for them.
