Being conjured back next to Kain, Finwe looked toward Noe’s direction and quietly asked, “Did it work?”

Just like Finwe, Kain was also wondering if his plan worked or not. He answered, “I sure hope so. You were right, there was an Angel Battlemage among the thousand Celestial Angels. I saw him trying to hide right after Anwyn casted her [Analyze] spell.”

“His minions are still alive. Do you think we have failed?”

“If Noe is dead, the minions will soon be dead too. Unlike conjured creatures, his minions won’t disappear because they were given life using his [Raise Dead] spells. It has been four seconds already, I’m sure he is-”

While Kain was about to declare that Noe Clerico was dead, the smoke caused by Anwyn’s fireball explosion cleared up a little bit revealing the heavily injured Noe Clerico appeared with blood covering his entire body. Noe quickly opened his Storage Ring and took out a Magical Pendant then wore it on his neck as he smirked and said, “Not bad.”

Finwe’s facial expression immediately changed after Noe put on the unknown Magical Pendant. Seeing Finwe react that way, Kain asked, “Finwe, are you alright?”

Finwe shook his head to clear the negative thoughts that just appeared inside his mind and calmly said, “The Magical Pendant Noe Clerico just put on his neck somehow increased his Magical Resistance rate. But no worry though, it was nowhere near compared to the Devil Overlord.”

After hearing Finwe explained, Kain sighed in relief and asked, “Will your Delusion Magic spells work on him now?”

“Yes, it would be no problem.” josei

Without receiving any instructions from Kain, Anwyn immediately commanded her Magical Staff to fire all kinds of fire beams, ice beams, thunder strikes, wind strikes, and rock projectiles toward Noe while she started chanting to cast another giant fireball. Noe was repeatedly killed and instantly revived himself but his injuries didn’t fully heal as Kain had assumed. After being killed more than twenty times, Noe received another colossal fireball casted by Anwyn that exploded and wiped his entire body out of existence just like the first time. It didn’t take five seconds like before because Noe revived himself in an instant. However, his body remained heavily injured.

“Enough is enough!” Noe angrily screamed as he activated a hidden ability of his Monk Warrior specialization, [Magic Mantras].

“No way…” Finwe’s facial expression radically changed again, this time it was much worse than the last one.

“Impossible! Right, Finwe? This is impossible!” Kain also expressed his worry when he felt Noe's Magical Resistance rate rapidly increased from far away.

Before Finwe could answer, Anwyn had already casted another colossal fireball toward Noe. Just like before, the colossal fireball caused a massive explosion, killed Finwe, and depleted the other two health pools of Kain. If Kain didn’t activate [Life Drain] on time to actively drain the blood pools of his Magical Blood Equipment, then that explosion would surely kill him as well.

Kain immediately conjured Finwe back while waiting for the smoke caused by the massive explosion to go away. Not just Kain and Finwe, but Anwyn also surprised when they saw the heavily injured Noe Clerico continued standing strong. Noe was also breathing heavily but he didn't show any sign of worry while the fire on his clothes was burning. Regardless of the fire that was burning his clothes, Noe's injuries didn't get worse or burn as expected.

Kain shockingly asked Anwyn, “How could that be?”

Just like Kain, Anwyn couldn’t believe Noe didn’t die or get any burned injury like he was supposed to. If Noe dies and revived himself, that would be normal. But Noe didn’t die. The fire that was burning Noe's clothes indicated that he took the damages caused by the colossal fireball casted by Anwyn head-on and survived. That was what made Anwyn’s shocked.

Finwe knew Anwyn couldn’t answer Kain's question, he answered on her behalf, “Kain, it seems like Noe Clerico’s Magical Resistance rate raised even higher compared to the Devil Overlord’s Magical Penetration rate. Even though it lasted for only several seconds, it was still enough for him to resist the whole explosion caused by her fireball.”

"I know that. I sensed his Magical Resistance rate rapidly increased from this far away indicating that it was much stronger than I could sense. Finwe, is it still that high now? I can't sense it anymore.”

“No, his Magical Resistance rate went back to normal. Kain, the Magical Pendant that Noe put on his neck somehow increased his Magical Resistance rate to very high. Do you have any idea what kind of pendant it is?”

Kain shook his head and said, "I have never seen or heard of such a Magical Pendant that can raise someone's Magical Resistance rate to be that high."

"Me neither. Devil Overlord, what about you?"

Anwyn angrily answered, "Shut up, you stupid bird!"

Ever since Anwyn knew Finwe was the one that actually defeated her using his Delusion Magic, she just wanted to have a chance to kill him. The colossal fireballs Anwyn shot out and killed Finwe twice earlier was intentional. She intended to kill Finwe as many times as she could despite knowing Kain could conjure him back.

Finwe could feel the frustration in Anwyn's voice, he decided to ignore her and said, "Kain, should I continue using Delusion Magic against him?"

“Yes, use the [Duplicity] spell on him now and I will come closer then activate my [Magic Annulment] spell to prevent him from being able to use the [Unlimited Life]. Anwyn will then cast another magic spell and that should seal his fate.”

“Agreed.”

While Finwe started flying toward Noe’s direction before activating the [Duplicity] spell. Without saying anything, Noe Clerico activated the [Soul Bridge] technique to conjure his Soul-bound Creature. A purple-haired woman wearing a blue magical robe having a pair of Thunder Wings on her back flew through the portal opened by his [Soul Bridge] technique.

Finwe immediately stopped his movement while Kain, and Anwyn opened their eyes widely after they saw the pair of Thunder Wings that purple-haired woman had. Even though Kain already prepared mentally that Noe has a God-tier magic caster Demigod as his Soul-bound Creature, seeing it with his eyes was truly stunned. God-tier Warriors were given the choice of having birds' wings including insects, Dragons, Angels, and Demons' Wings. The Demigod that was trapped by Ursula’s [Demiplane] spell earlier had a pair of Sapphire Wings, which meant he was extremely strong and managed to upgrade his regular pair of wings to Sapphire Wings while still remaining at the Demiplane.

Unlike in the higher realms that have God-tier Warriors and God-tier Mages everywhere. Demiplane, as known as the realm of Demigods, rarely has any God-tiers remaining there because most of the God-tiers decided to travel to the higher realms where they can continuously train to be stronger. While God-tier Mages have the same options to use birds' wings including insects, dragons, demons, or Angels' Wings, God Mages can also choose to have Elemental Wings such as Fire Wings, Ice Wings, Thunder Wings, Earthen Wings, or Sapphire Wings. God Warriors can also have their wings upgraded to Elemental Wings through battle rewards or whenever they have collected enough Soul Stones in the higher realms.

Some Elemental Wings have unique abilities because not all of them carry the same effects. For example, most of the Fire Wings can shield their wielders from God-tier Fire Magic spells by reducing the damages they have to take while having the ability to shoot out many fireballs at the same time. However, some unique ultra-rare Fire Wings can protect its wielders by completely absorbing damages caused by God-tier Fire Magic spells while having the ability to reflect the magic spells back toward the God-tier Fire Mages.
