Chapter 194: Servant Summoning!

In front of the holographic projection that hovered before the man known as Fujimaru Ritsuka, there appeared a woman exuding an air of intellectual beauty.

"How is it on your end, Fujimaru Ritsuka?" As soon as the woman appeared, she immediately inquired.

"Oh... Da Vinci, it seems that things are quite peace..." Before Fujimaru Ritsuka could finish his sentence, he glanced around once again to ensure that there were no anomalies in the surroundings. He was about to report to the woman he referred to as Da Vinci.

However, Da Vinci promptly interrupted him with a hushed gesture, "Shh!"

"What's wrong, Da Vinci?" Fujimaru Ritsuka was slightly taken aback. Hearing Da Vinci's reaction, he wondered if he had fallen under some sort of curse.

After all, he was a complete Magecraft illiterate, and even after cramming some Magecraft knowledge, he could barely hold his own.

"It's like that, you know, the originally quiet fire department that had no work for the entire day, and then suddenly, because one firefighter mentioned how peaceful it was, they ended up being busy all day. Same goes for hospitals. Whenever someone says it's not going to be busy today, it's a surefire sign that it's going to be insanely busy."

Hearing Da Vinci's explanation, Fujimaru Ritsuka's lips twitched a few times, "Ah, Da Vinci, you mean it like that."

For a moment, he had genuinely thought he might have been cursed the moment he stepped into this Singularity. He had even considered asking Da Vinci for advice on breaking a curse. But instead, Da Vinci was toying with him, playing games of mysticism.

"Hahaha, I'm just kidding with you."

Seeing Fujimaru Ritsuka's expression, Da Vinci chuckled lightly and then got down to business, wasting no time to let Fujimaru Ritsuka vent his frustration.

"This Singularity is set in AD 2012, the same year as the Mayan prophecy of the apocalypse. However, as of now, it's uncertain if the Singularity's appearance is related to that event. Nevertheless, we should keep an eye on it."

"But... Fuyuki again? Last time we were here, it was the same." As he spoke, Fujimaru Ritsuka reminisced about his encounter in Singularity F.

Just as they were discussing the matter, another holographic projection materialized, depicting a purple-haired woman wearing glasses. "It's Singularity F, isn't it, Senpai?"

"Yes, it's been quite a while since then. I wonder if there's any connection between Singularity X and Singularity F." Fujimaru Ritsuka conversed with the person in the holographic projection while intermittently observing the surroundings for potential threats.

"I'm sorry, Senpai, but this time you'll be exploring alone."

With a hint of self-reproach, the girl in the holographic projection lowered her head slightly. "If only I still had the strength..."

"Don't worry, Mashu. What you need now is rest." Hearing this, Fujimaru Ritsuka reassured Mashu with a smile.

Mashu slowly nodded, though her emotions were evidently still a bit downcast. "Yes, Senpai, I understand."

"Now, returning to the situation of this Singularity, to be honest, this is probably the most peculiar one yet." Da Vinci, who was nearby, furrowed her brow and examined the data from this Singularity once more.

"Initially, this Singularity had a foundation in human history, but on the night of May 17th, the human history value suddenly underwent exponential growth, until it turned into '???'. Without a doubt, that night marked the invasion of the source of chaos."

"Then, on the morning of May 18th, the value suddenly declined. It seems that the source of chaos within this Singularity was suppressed. However, merely a few hours later, the chaotic value surged once again."

"By the evening of May 18th, the source of chaos completely disappeared, as if it had been expelled from this Singularity."

"As a result, this Singularity, unusually, regressed to a Class C human history value."

"This optimistic state persisted until two hours ago when the source of chaos returned to this Singularity, causing the human history value to once again become an indiscernible '???'."

"Fujimaru Ritsuka, your task is to investigate this phenomenon."

"Yes, I understand." Fujimaru Ritsuka nodded and touched the Command Seals on the back of his right hand.

"As of now, your goal, Fujimaru Ritsuka, is to first locate the leyline and then proceed with summoning a Servant. Use the item I entrusted to you for that purpose."

Upon hearing this, Fujimaru Ritsuka reached into his pocket and pulled out a disc. Its appearance was that of a plain, featureless circle with a diameter of 10 centimeters, resembling an enlarged coin, but lacking any intricate details.

"Contained within this disc are the bonds between you and the Servants. You can use it as a medium to summon them," he explained straightforwardly, recalling the disc's purpose that Da Vinci had mentioned earlier.

"Just like Mashu's shield, a versatile 'relic,' right?" Fujimaru Ritsuka inquired matter-of-factly.

"Exactly. Originally, there was a more sophisticated Spiritron Case available," Da Vinci continued, her tone shifting. "However, since you'll be acting alone this time, it's better to carry something more portable."

"By the way, even though this is a simplified version, it's equipped with the ability to self-detect ley lines. As long as the summoning conditions are met, it will emit a glowing signal."

"Yeah, Da Vinci-chan thought of everything... huh?" Mid-sentence, Fujimaru Ritsuka suddenly noticed that the disc he held was emitting a white light.

"Da Vinci-chan, does this mean... I can proceed with the summoning?" he asked.

"Ah, it seems your luck is good. You've encountered a ley line shortly after arriving in that Singularity," Da Vinci remarked, slightly surprised. "But it's better to get this done sooner. The sooner you summon a Servant, the sooner you'll have the ability to defend yourself."

"I understand. Let's begin the Servant summoning ritual."

After confirming that there was no one around, Fujimaru Ritsuka gently placed the disc on the ground and tapped its center lightly.

"Hum~" With a soft hum, a blue summoning circle spread outward like ripples from an explosion, completing its formation in just 0.5 seconds.

From the moment the summoning circle materialized, it emitted a gentle, ethereal azure glow that wasn't too dazzling to the eyes.

Standing before the summoning circle, Fujimaru Ritsuka extended his right hand.

"I shall declare here."
