Chapter 200: Bai Song's Misfortune

Chapter 200: Bai Song's Misfortune

Chapter 200: Bai Song's Misfortune

What Bai Song saw was a bag and... his own foot lying quietly beneath the bag.

"Crack." As he witnessed the impact on his foot, Bai Song heard a 'crack' soundyes, the unmistakable sound of a bone breaking.

In the instant Bai Song realized he might have suffered a fracture from the bag's impact, an excruciating pain shot through him!

He plopped down onto the ground, clutching his left leg, mouth agape, eyes tightly shut, and immediately began emitting a series of intense screams.

"Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah!!!"

In that moment, an extremely intense scream reverberated throughout the entire street block.

If one were to attempt to describe just how intense this sound was, it could be said that Bai Song's cry was akin to the piercing shriek of a Stuka dive-bomber!

If needed, Bai Song might as well provide the voice for Stuka dive-bombers in World War II movies. Some might even mistake it for genuine Stuka aircraft audio recording, as if the real Stuka was less Stuka than this!

Upon hearing this familiar sound, onlookers all around started looking up at the sky, searching for the source of the noise.

"What's going on? Is there an aerial acrobatics performance?"

"No, is it flying really high?"

"The sound feels close, maybe it's somewhere nearby."

..

In the dead-end alley, the cat, mouse, and dog trio were in a rather unfortunate state. They covered their ears. Especially Tom, who was closest to the source of the scream, was lifted into the air by the force of the sound.

Realizing that his owner couldn't continue like this, Tom decisively took action! He reached out and covered Bai Song's mouth, placing his paw directly over Bai Song's lips, a remarkably precise maneuver.

"Ah ah ah... mmm mmm mmm!"

With Tom's paw covering his mouth, the upward force acting on Tom ceased entirely. Had it not, Tom feared he might be propelled skyward, soaring alongside astronauts, given how prolonged his owner's screams were.

Tom didn't want to experience being shoulder to shoulder with astronauts a second timeonce in a feline lifetime was enough. He'd rather not be propelled out of the Earth again involuntarily.

"Mmm mmm mmm!" Bai Song endured the pain, trying to point at his left foot to communicate something. However, due to Tom's paw firmly muffling him, the sounds that emerged were just sobs, making it impossible to comprehend what he was trying to say.

But who was he trying to communicate with? Tom! Tom and Jerry had battled at the summit of the Purple Forbidden Mountain countless times, and they had rarely exchanged words. A few gestures, and they could easily understand each other, much like Italians conversing.

Now, seeing Bai Song's gestures, Tom immediately grasped his intention. He loosened his grip on Bai Song's mouth slowly, keeping his paw just a few centimeters away to prevent another outburst.

After waiting for less than half a second and confirming that Bai Song showed no signs of screaming again, Tom immediately moved to lift the linen bag that was currently resting on Bai Song's injured left foot.

With the bag removed, Bai Song's foot was freed from beneath the linen bag.

"Bolt, bolt, bolt." Bai Song's left foot suddenly emitted a red light, flickering like a smoke alarm, continuously blinking.

Looking at his left foot, Bai Song fell silent. "This... is pretty serious, isn't it?"

In disbelief, he realized he had only been hit by a bag, yet he had managed to break a bone.

Tom stood up and stretched out a paw into Bai Song's field of vision, bringing over a plastic stool from a nearby food stall. Bai Song glanced at it and nodded. Yes, it was the same white plastic stool as the one Virgil had.

After placing the stool behind Bai Song, Tom handed Bai Song's left hand to Jerry, who had climbed onto the left armrest. Meanwhile, Tom, the cat, held onto Bai Song's right hand. Together, they managed to drag Bai Song onto the stool.

The explosive force they exerted might lead an ordinary person to wonder if they had undercooked their mushrooms for lunch. Bai Song, unable to support himself with his injured left foot, ended up half-sitting, half-lying on the white plastic stool, resembling someone who had aged ten years in an instant.

Then, Tom pulled out a first aid kit from behind and opened it. He took out a pile of plaster bandages and began wrapping Bai Song's left leg. The speed at which he applied the bandages was too fast for the naked eye to follow. At least, it was too fast for the bandaged Bai Song to comprehend anything clearly.

Bai Song couldn't see exactly how Tom was performing the operation, but one second later, a perfectly cast plaster was on his left leg.

Looking at the cast on his left leg, Bai Song's heart sank. In this condition, he had no choice but to entrust the modification of the electric scooter entirely to Tom and Jerry. He felt deeply worried because this would mean there was no balance between Tom and Jerry. What if they disagreed during the modification process, and things got chaotic, leading to unexpected changes in the scooter?

As for involving Spike? Bai Song turned his head to glance at the anxious Spike and decided against it.

Furthermore, Bai Song thought to himself, he had suffered a bone fracture. Tomorrow, he would undoubtedly still be in bad shape. In that case, wouldn't the choice of who would drive the racing car tomorrow fall to either Tom or Jerry? Could Tom win the race?

And Spike? Well, may it live long!

Contemplating tomorrow's race, Bai Song felt deep concern, but he couldn't show it. He could only feign composure and say to Tom and Jerry, "I'm entrusting this car entirely to you. Make sure you transform it into the perfect racing car."

Hearing this, both Tom and Jerry immediately displayed excited smiles. The cat and mouse exchanged glances and nodded at each other.

Simultaneously, they reached behind them and retrieved an assortment of tools, each suited to their respective sizes.

In a blink of an eye, Bai Song saw Tom not only bring out a variety of tools, but also set up a workbench with a vise. It happened so quickly that it seemed like teleportation to Bai Song's eyes.

However, Tom, the cat, considered this completely normal. From its perspective, it was just a matter of bringing tools over from the side. At least, that's how it appeared in Tom's cat-like viewpoint... or so it thought?
