After driving for more than twenty minutes, they finally arrived at a nearby restaurant. Theodore ordered several of Ariana’s favorite dishes.
“Do you want anything else?” Theodore asked.
Ariana browsed through the menu and added several strong-flavored dishes.
It was late, and there were only a few customers in the restaurant.
Theodore took a few bites from his steak. He then put down his cutlery and wiped his mouth with his napkin, drinking some water while staring at Ariana.
Meanwhile, Ariana was staring at the food in front of her. She had the habit of focusing on delicious food while she enjoyed them.
After observing her for a while, Theodore suddenly said, “Your tastes changed recently. You’re not eating some of your favorites. You even seem to be particularly fond of sour and spicy food.”
Ariana, who was gobbling down an enriched tomato soup, took a while to register what he had just said. She then realized that her tastes had indeed changed after her pregnancy.
She wouldn't have noticed if he didn’t point it out.
Ariana hesitated before replying dismissively, “You would get bored of your favorite food if you always eat it. It’s good to mix things up once in a while.”
Theodore stopped questioning and wiped the tomato soup on the corner of her lips with a napkin. Ariana was afraid he would continue the topic, so she racked her brain to find something else to talk about.
“Do you want to watch The Sky with Romance when we go back? | haven't finished watching it. We can watch it and criticize it together.”
Before Theodore could answer, she immediately dismissed her suggestion. “You know what? Forget it. The drama is a waste of time. It can’t help Tyler gain a lot of fans. | just hope it won’t hamper Tyler’s career in the future.”
Theodore sulked at the mention of Tyler’s name. He put down his napkin, picked up his cutlery again, and began sawing through the food on his plate.
After dinner, they went back to their rented apartments.
In the elevator, Theodore was holding Ariana’s hand tightly.
When the elevator door opened, they went out together and were about to head back to their respective units.
Suddenly, Theodore pulled her back and asked in a low voice, “It’s been a long time.
When are you coming back to the Anderson family’s mansion? Helen has returned to the hospital to prepare for her operation. And | already asked Judy to clean your room and change the sheets.”
