Chapter 130 Importance of Power
Chapter 130 Importance of Power
After Old Jeff told him that he could pick an [Rare++] occupation called ‘The Wise Blacksmith’, Dilan was quite baffled.
He felt the need to help Old Jeff advance to Tier-1 right off the bat.
But Dilan also knew that it wouldn’t make that much of a difference for Old Jeff to advance to Tier-1 right in this instant.
As such, he suppressed his feelings and used his brain.
Pressuring himself to farm Silver essences in bulk would only make things worse as he might make mistakes.
Furthermore, they didn’t have the necessary materials to start forging either way. As such, hastening Old Jeff’s progress and gathering the necessary materials by tomorrow night, or the day after was still fine.
“We can procure everything from the Krendel’s Underground Valley…Looks like we have to hasten up our progress a little bit!”
With that in mind, Dilan had returned to Kathrine and the others. He told them to focus on gathering in a group to and focussing on their advance so as to reach level 10.
Williams was also present at that time, just to tell him that they had already assimilated a group of two dozen level 10 Ascenders.
This exceeded Dilan’s expectations by a lot. It was great and very helpful.
“If possible, try to advance to Tier-1, and tell your people to try the same. But take the highest-ranked ancient path of advancement, otherwise, you guys might miss out on quite a few opportunities!”-.
From the way Dilan spoke, it was quite easy to detect that he had his fair share of experience with the advantages of a high-ranked ancient path of advancement.
But that was something the others could already tell owing to the shocking presence he radiated. Oddly enough, the presence that ought to suppress them was not even affecting them.
This was weird and unexpected.
Little did they know that the title Dilan had activated infused the survivors around him with some more courage.
“To be honest, it would be for the best if everyone reaches Tier-1 as quickly as possible. The threat posed by the monsters is steadily increasing and is exactly the same as in the case with humans.
Pyro, the leader of the Death Beatles gang is already at Tier-1, and he is in possession of an Origin ability.”
If that were to be the only worrisome fact, everyone would be shocked but accept it soon.
However, Dilan didn’t want to give them shocking news in parts and wanted to just throw it all at one go because he was feeling increasingly restless.
“By now, all of his people should have reached level 10, and I guess by the time I visit them, they would be Tier-1 existences!”
Nobody was able to know what Dilan was feeling.
But sensing that he didn’t seem to be scared of facing 100 Tier-1 Ascenders, almost all of them began to think that Dilan’s brain was damaged during the night hunt.
Little did they know that Dilan was certain that no ordinary weapon could injure him anymore.
Rifles and most other guns were mere toys against him, while the lethality of shotguns and snipers had been drastically reduced.
Those weapons would injure him if they targeted only certain body parts. The survivors would be left gobsmacked if they were to know this.
His confidence didn’t solely stem from his high Health stat. Rather, it was the fact that he was in possession of several Silver treasures, a Divine occupation, and the supermarket with highly mutated and evolved Slimes residing within!
Even if things had changed from the day he had spent sleeping, Dilan was certain that the Death Beatles gang had yet to find a Gate to trade their Essence crystals at.
Otherwise, they would have used other weapons than the broken equipment of monsters they had hunted down.
Dilan had clearly sensed the faint amount of mana that was intertwined in the weapons the Death Beatles gang had used.
As such, he was not afraid of being far less equipped than them.
But even then, there was something else he wanted to figure out!
‘Just how strong is a Tier-1 human with an Origin ability?!’
Fighting a life and death battle against a Tier-1 Ascender was something Dilan had yet to do. Until now, he had always managed to overwhelm his human opponents.
That was, if one excluded the few times he had been shot at.
His interest in finding out the capabilities of a fellow Tier-1 Ascender, who also possessed an Origin ability, was exceptionally high.
A glint could be seen in his eyes the moment he thought about fighting Pyro, the leader of the Death Beatles gang.
However, even if he was intrigued, he could not simply barge into their stronghold. There were precautions he had to take.
Dilan’s plan was to fight, all by himself, after all!
For now, Kathrine and the others were too weak to help him out.
That was why he told them to become stronger as quickly as possible. Dilan knew that becoming stronger and focusing on themselves was far from easy with the responsibilities they shouldered.
But even with all the responsibilities, all of them had to keep improving and keep getting stronger, otherwise, their authority would diminish in the face of the stronger Ascenders.
This was something the others understood quite well.
After all, some of them had only submitted to Dilan due to his terrifyingly high strength!
Williams, Xenia and Sven had no intention of betraying Dilan, but the moment they would become stronger than him, it was not unlikely for them to start questioning their decision to follow him and consider him as their leader.
And this was exactly what everyone would start thinking the moment they would surpass their respective subunit’s leader’s strength as well.
Dilan understood this clearly, which was why he had to show the others that he was unreachable, that even the thought of betraying them was unthinkable!
Thus, overpowering the Death Beatles gang all by himself was his best bet.
It would allow him to feel a little bit more excited as well as it had been quite a while since his blood boiled in rage because of a lethal fight that might cost him his life.
“I will tackle them, you guys don’t need to worry about that gang. Just focus on getting stronger!”
His entire existence seemed to radiate unbearable confidence that swept through the entire room.
Williams could only smile dryly at this sight, while Yvonne and the others could only hope that Dilan was not overestimating his capabilities.
“If they’re too strong, just flee, okay? If you die, it’s over, do you understand that?!” Kathrine just couldn’t understand how everyone was able to stay so calm.
Even if Dilan was strong, they were talking about him fighting against more than a hundred Tier-1 Ascenders at the same time?!
Was everyone insane in this room, or had she missed out on some crucial information??
Dilan’s death would not only indicate the end of his life but also mean the end of the group around him.
In the best case, they would split up their groups, and form smaller teams of Survivors.
After all, there wouldn’t be anyone capable of holding the group together, let alone controlling them if not for Dilan.
However, that was not why Kathrine told him to survive by all means, and flee if necessary.
Her main reason behind asking him to be careful was that she didn’t want him to die.
But this was only obvious, which was why the others didn’t say anything.
They could tell that Dilan was capable of looking after himself. Thus, there was no need to discourage him by saying that he could run away if necessary.
“I will take care of myself. Don’t worry, I have grown much stronger than you might think!”
