Chapter 611 Deadliest
Chapter 611 Deadliest
After Dilan witnessed everyone's most basic flaws, he witnessed a few more things that attracted his interest.
They fought and traveled for a whole day until they had finally cleared the Crimsonwood forest from most monster hordes.
At first, the others were rather confused and unsure why Dilan wasn't trying to take down the Tribe of the 12 Apostles right off the bat.
However, after some time passed, everything started to make sense, frustratingly enough.
Dilan focused on observing the others to make sure that he understood their combat prowess, strong points, and weaknesses as well as possible. He even learned how fast they could circulate mana through their body and how long adept they were at utilizing their abilities in the middle of a battle.
Using his Mystic Eyes, it was no problem for Dilan to find out everything he needed to make sure that his first evaluation of everyone was not wrong.
He could see the Tier and rough combat prowess evaluation using his Headring's [Perfect Appraisal], after all. But even then, it was not certain that the appraisal was actually perfect for the things Dilan needed to know before coming up with a plan to kill the 12 Orc Apostles.
'If everything goes south, they can just flee and I kill them on my own. Dying a few hundred times won't be as troublesome as losing any of them…even if it's Ben or the others.'
Dilan was ready to play the bait, sacrifice, or any kind of other dangerous role as long as it was possible for all of them to leave the battlefield alive!
It was not even important whether they won or lost, as long as they stayed alive everything would be fine.
"Sven are you usually in charge of continuously boosting the whole group? Isn't that Domain skill a little bit too taxing for your body? It should drain quite a bit mana as well…" Dilan asked Sven after a while.
By now, Dilan knew most abilities the others possessed. Even their item abilities were known to him because they made use of most abilities they could use, wasting a tremendous amount of mana.
Dilan could tell how the others became powerful and it made sense that they had quickly advanced to the fifth Tier. However, there were still many things they would have to improve before they would read the standards of true powerhouses.
Dilan had spent 10,000 years to fix his flaws, to become stronger by studying and learning several combat techniques.
That was also why he was never out of mana. He replenished his mana shortly after he had to use it. Yet, it looked like Sven didn't even think of following this principle. Sven would rather use up his mana to support everyone at any time, as much as possible, rather than accumulating mana and using it when it was actually required.
Following that principle might be useful when facing numerous surprise attacks, but it was a waste of mana and focus if done without reason.
"I use my ability most of the time, yeah…I know that it's a waste of mana and that I strain my mind too much but it helped us out a lot. We were able to save lots of lives thanks to the way I utilize my Domain ability!" Sven defended himself by mentioning the wild experiences they had gone through.
Dilan understood what Sven wanted to say, but he sighed deeply as he understood that Sven had to use lots of mana and focus for every single additional being receiving a stats amplification from his Domain ability.
"If you're not willing to deactivate your Domain ability in the danger zones, at least remove the Undead from your Domain's effect. It doesn't matter whether a few of them are getting crushed, or if they endure a few more hits by receiving your Domain's boost continuously.
In the worst case, return them the boost once you feel that something is off. Don't get yourself killed because of some stupid Undead!" Dilan declared, staring deep into Sven's soul, not accepting a rejection.
"Okay…" Sven could only say dejected as he removed the boost of his Domain ability from more than 600 Undeads.
600 Undeads…that was the number of Undeads Yvonne could control by now. They were mostly Tier-3 and Tier-4 Undead but the small army consisted of various types of Undeads. Not only were there Death Knights, but also Grave Vultures, Eclipse Worms, and various types of Undeads.
Yvonne's Army was not easy to control but the Necromancer was capable enough to do it. Unfortunately, she couldn't fight in close combat properly while precisely controlling her small army. That was quite obvious because the control of 600 Undead was something that required her full focus, which was something Yvonne couldn't provide her army.
Nonetheless, she made great achievements fighting mid-air using her black feathered wings while controlling her army of death.
Williams was no less impressive in terms of control because he controlled more than 100 bladed discs that looked like frisbees…just a little bit more deadly. The bladed discs were made out of the meteorite that had nearly killed Dilan more than 27 years ago, and they had been reinforced, enchanted, and afterward tempered once again to make sure that they could dig in the flesh of Demi Gods with strong defenses.
Williams had studied his psychokinesis ability and he focused him remaining active and passive abilities, as well as the Ability Merits he received from completing the highest difficulty advancement missions for the sole purpose of enhancing his psychokinesis. The result was nothing short of frightening.
With the precise control of more than a hundred bladed discs, various tactics, and great insights into his surrounding area and the attack pattern of his opponents, it was a wonder how Williams didn't become the strongest Demi God in their group.
However, rather than being the strongest, Williams would rather be the deadliest and remain unknown.
After all, the silent death was the most difficult to escape!
