Chapter 670 Flame Of The Beginning
Chapter 670 Flame Of The Beginning
Dilan was not sure how much time passed but he was extremely exhausted…so exhausted.
The accumulated energy within the True Undying Essence had been used up after the last bits of mana had been devoured from the Sun, and Dilan ended up dying a few more times without the True Undying Essence's support.
His Tier had increased and the potency of the Undying Origin ability had increased by leaps and bounds, but the effect was still not comparable to the overwhelming power of the True Undying Essence.
However, that didn't really matter anymore. After dying countless times, probably more than a hundred thousand times, Dilan was allowed to be exhausted and to take a short rest.
The eternal darkness of the Prison Gate shrouded him as the burning star's flames had been devoured in its entirety. Only a huge mass of something was left behind.
Nial was not sure what the core of the burning star was but it couldn't be something simple. The burning star's core could probably be used to create some Godly equipment, however, that didn't really help Dilan.
He was not an artisan, let alone a blacksmith. Old Jeff could take care of the humongous core of the burning star. It was still hot but Dilan could just wait until it cooled down before handing it over. There was nothing wrong with that.
But the most important for Dilan was to take a short nap. He couldn't keep his eyes open any longer and he didn't really care how much time had passed outside as well.
The only thing of importance was that the flying island was fine, which was something Dilan could be certain of as Rory was still alive and kicking.
He closed his eyes and sunk into a deep slumber until his mind had rested long enough. His body was full of energy for quite some time already and his mind was doing better now as well.
He got up from the ground and turned in the direction of the Claimed Gate.
For a moment, he considered leaving immediately but Dilan changed his mind. Dilan turned back, closed his eyes and focused on his Divine Essence Crystal. He was able to sense the small flame that flickered vigorously inside his Essence Crystal, but he didn't try to control it immediately.
His mind was obliterated the last time he tried to force the flame under his control. That simply meant subduing it wouldn't be easy
However, Dilan never expected that it would be easy for a Demi God to wield a power that was equivalent to a True Divinity. The Power of the Sun was exactly that, a force that could be compared to a True Divinity.
How was it possible for something like that to be easy to control? Its sentience had been freed from the shackles the Sun God had put on it, just to be devoured once again.
Dilan could tell that something like that was pretty frustrating. Nonetheless, he didn't really feel guilty.
"I know that you probably hate me…but I don't give a shit. I needed the Essence Crystal of the Sun God and even more the power you harbored. You can resent me, or try to kill me in the future but you will die the moment my Essence Crystal ceases to exist, which is quite unlikely to happen because I'm Undying.
If you don't want me to use you, that's on you, I cannot really force you with my strength, either way. But even if you don't want me to use you, I will use the Sun Essence I've received to use the shreds of the Power of Sun that merged with my Ring of Infinite Elements constitution. This is not something you can control.
I give you the opportunity to fight by my side and to become a part of my True Divinity in the future. The True Undying Essence and my True Destruction trait will be the core component of my True Divinity…but you can join if you want to. Your sentience won't be sealed and neither your power. I can help you gain more strength and I won't restrict you in any way.
However, I cannot give you any promises about returning you your life. I don't know what a Sun usually does when gaining sentience but I am pretty sure that I can show you the vast Universe in the future.
At least, I will be able to show you what Veils look like and you could become a powerful weapon that eradicates Veilures…if you know what Veilures are. Either way, I won't be able to use you if you don't acknowledge me as your master, not now and possibly not in the future either.
Just think about it!"
Dilan was blabbering to himself. It felt a little bit weird but he knew that the small flame inside the Divine Essence Crystal could hear him.
It heard everything he said and it could even read his mind and access the memories of his body. This was all only possible because Dilan didn't seal the little flame inside his Divine Essence Crystal.
If would be easy for Dilan to isolate the little flame from the outside world and leave it alone inside the small space of the Divine Essence Crystal, but that was not what Dilan wanted.
He was even fine with the flame sensing what he felt and seeing what he saw if that was enough for them to create a bond.
"You can make your decision, while I will leave this goddamn place. It's way too dark…" Dilan cursed to himself before spreading out his Mana to store away the humongous core of the burning star.
It was the last remnant of the Sun Divinity Staff and the burning star that had ceased to exist in the known Universe.
A small flame had been born as the star died, a flame that was given a name by none other than the man who would soon be known throughout the entire Universe.
This was the start of the Undying Warlord's Era, and his path alongside the Flame of the Beginning
