Chapter 102 102. CHALLENGE
Chapter 102 102. CHALLENGE
The man looked to be in his mid twenties, he had long yellow hair which he let fall on his shoulders. He was currently dressed in a pair of black trouser, black long sleeve shirt, and a waistcoat with bright red line on its surface.
In his hand was a small piece of paper which was what he read words from.
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen. I am Alex Kiol of the Kiol noble family, I'll be the host of today's events," He started with a bow.
"I'm sure you all are having a good time. As you all know we are here to celebrate the winners of this years' bozolom. It's been an interesting week. We all feasting our eyes on the experts of this generation," He stopped for a few seconds, the whole room being filled with the claps and cheers by his audience.
"Like every bozolom ever done, I am here to announce the names of winners of this year. Since there isn't any particular position. I'll be announcing in the ascending order of the most popular. According to your votes that is,," He took a light breath in, the noblemen cheering and clapping. They all stopped when Alex raised his hand.
"Coming in tenth position of popularity: Collins of the Macron noble family." Alex announced, but the claps and cheers for the young man weren't much.
The announced man walked up the stage, his face expressionless.
Searching the crowd for his family he sighted their smiling faces, but didn't react, only waiting for the next person to be announced.
A few tens of seconds passed before Alex raised his hand, the small cheers coming to an end a second later.
"Coming ninth place: Reza, a student of the royal academy. She majors in forging and a little of battle arts, and is among the top students," He announced gesturing at the said lady, who stood from her seat and walked up the stage standing next to Collins.
She too wore an expressionless face, shooting blank glances at the audience.
The cheers that filled the from sounded just s but more than that of Collins, which wasn't that much.
Another few seconds passed before Alex stopped the cheering.
"Coming in eight: Delia of the Turenio noble family. She is also a student of the royal academy and majors in alchemy," Alex announced, loud cheers sparking up from different angles of the large room.
Noah watched this scene with slight curiosity while the names of the most popular participants in bozolom were called.
He himself didn't really care about the whole event and mostly wondered what was taught in the royal academy, but a wave of surprise couldn't help but fill his mind when his name was called as the second, he couldn't help but shoot a glance at the last person sitting, who was Isabella.
Moses took the third while James took the fifth position in the results of the votes; which Noah still wondered when was taken.
Even though his name was called in second, the whole room seemed to shake from the powerful cheers of the audience.
They seemed to go wild when his name was called, as sounds came from every angle Noah looked. A smile couldn't help but crack on Noah's face during those moments of walking up the pulpit and standing near Moses, who shook his head with a light smile.
It took around a minute before Alex raised his hand, the cheers stopping a few milliseconds later.
"I'm sure most of you have been waiting for this. The most popular participant of this year's bozolom: Isabella of the Molosk noble family, and also a top student of the royal academy, who majors in battle arts," Alex announced while the crowd went wild.
Noah could sight almost all men present had gawking expressions. Their hand waves trying to get her attention.
"You seem to be a celebrity among people. What's your secret," Noah asked with a tone dripping with sarcasm.
Isabella simply clicked her tongue her voice ringing out the next instant.
"They're all lustful men who would do anything to get me in their room," She snorted, her expression gaining a hint of coldness.
Noah replied not to those words, his eyes landing on the wild noblemen. A slight sigh escaped his mouth when he thought about the helplessness of men.
Alex raised his hand eventually, the cheers coming to a stop.
"Now that we are done with that, lets move on to the next thing we have." Alex spoke, while a set of blue and green inscriptions appeared on the small space behind the lined up participants.
Noah turning in surprise to watch a spectacular scene unfold.
The small ground-space covered with the Inscriptions seemed to stretch as Noah felt himself and the whole room move backwards.
After the space got a bit big, it rose up a few feet creating a round stage stretched out around 500ft.
After that was done, another Inscription lit up on the stages surface, then a thin light-purple veil rose up to cover the round stage in a dome like fashion.
Noah raised hie eyebrows at the sight, it was surprising but not that much, he only wondered what it was for, though he got a rough idea on that topic.
"I'm sure most of you watched the participants in their various battles and it entertained you. But rejoice, the royal family has given you the chance to test your strength with them. All you have to do is walk up to this pulpit and call out the name of who you wish to challenge," Alex explained gesturing at the stage, while gasps spread out in the room.
Noah's eyes couldn't help but focus on audience at that point, he wanted to know and quickly Inspect those who would walk towards the pulpit.
A few seconds passed, no one seemingly ready to challenge the winners, but that changed when three figures left their seats and began walking towards the pulpit.
The other less courageous men, and women clapped the three persons who were all men.
Noah immediately Inspected their levels of power with the systems ability.
[Pete]
[Tier: 2]
[Level: 49]
[Chances of death: 36%]
[Mike]
[Tier: 2]
[Level: 49]
[Chances of death: 47%]
[Dan]
[Tier: 2]
[Level: 47]
[Chances of death: 33%]
Noah nodded his head at the results of the Inspection, but didn't bother to Inspect too much of their facial features only recording that they all looked to be in their late-twenties, and the man named Mike looked bulky. As it seemed he had worked the heck out of his body.
The three eventually arrived In front of the pulpit. Alex's voice ringing out.
"State your names and who you want to challenge," He said his eyes fully on the three men.
"I am Dan the fifth son of the Tendi family. I wish to challenge winner Elliot to a fight," The man named Dan bowed.
Elliot was the man who came in sixth in the position of popularity. He was a man in the higher stage of tier 2, almost reaching the peak.
"I am Pete Third son of the Heril family. I wish to challenge winner Moses to a fight," The man named Pete announced while performing a slight bow.
The last person among the three seemed to take his time while he swept his gaze on the winners. His eyes landing on the still stunning figure of Noah who noticed his gaze, a slight smile appearing on his face after their gaze met.
"I am Mike second son of the Noligia noble family, and I wish to challenge sir Noah to a brawl." The young looking man announced.
His fabulous shirt and black robe vanishing, then a black sleeveless garment; which looked much like a singlet from Earth, took their place on his body.
