Chapter 124 124. WORTHY
Chapter 124 124. WORTHY
Noah could almost feel the system shake its head in wonder. If it actually possessed a real head, which Noah doubted.
'What do I even do about that,' Noah thought.
'I'll need to visit a library to learn this stuff, but that'll delay my progress for a bit. And I'm also not ready to deal with humans nonsense,' Noah frowned.
[[I can always bestow upon you that knowledge]]
'You can? I thought your code wouldn't allow you," Nah asked perplexed.
[[I can do this, only because what I'm giving you isn't a skill just a tiny bit of knowledge. You'll have to do most of the work yourself]]
'That's good then. Please get on with it, Noah sat silently.
[Do you wish to receive >Knowledge< Basics of Will control]
[Yes/No]
Quickly choosing yes, Noah felt a trickle of information flow into his head, his soul core beginning to spin slowly, as it processed that Information and gave it to him in its refined state.
The process of the refinement was automatic, Noah didn't have to do a thing throughout the two seconds of the process.
Foreign ideas suddenly rushed Into Noah's mind after the refinement. The ideas managed to leave him a bit surprised, as he wondered how he hadn't noticed or thought of the ideas.
Noah suddenly closed his eyes after a few seconds, his body radiating a serious aura, as he tried to unlock something inside himself.
The information he had obtained, told him of something deep inside of him, something that was normally Imperceptible to those who hadn't come in contact with it, a person's will.
According to what he received, a person's will was basically a mass of their raw desires.
But for that desires to have an effect on physical things, such as his environment and mostly energy, it had to be clear, Intentional, and Intense.
The ideas that flashed in his mind told him that those who had powerful wills, were mostly seasoned experts who had seen a lot, and their minds had been harden enough to withstand and affect a lot of things around them.
Noah wasn't sure he fit fully into that qualification, but he remained certain that he been through a fairly amount of bad situations, and that his current mind was definitely hardened.
A cold aura suddenly burst out of Noah's figure, his eyes opening to reveal his expressionless face, filled with a significant amount of blood lust.
'So I'm supposed to gather my desires in their rawest form, and infuse secondary desires into those already many desires, then apply it on my environment, or in this case, the speed forces's' energy,' Noah thought, his cold eyes landing on the dense yellow fog around him.
"But do I only want to kill the royals? After that what next?," Noah suddenly muttered, his cold aura flickering.
After that event did he notice that a layer of ice had formed beneath his body, covering the room's floor, but couldn't affect the walls.
He could also sight sparks flicker here and there, while a tiny cloud which also crackled, formed a few tens of meters above him.
A tinge of curiosity flowed into his mind, but he soon destroyed it by focusing on the main issue.
"Honestly I just want to explore the world," Noah suddenly sighed, "Killing the royals is simply a side mission, which I can only achieve with overwhelming power," Noah muttered, his cold aura suddenly vanishing.
'Power,' Noah thought, 'The only thing that truly matters in this new world," he shook his head.
"Do I desire it?. Yes I do. Is it my only goal?. No it isn't. Do I need it badly?.Yes I do. But I also want to explore this world, and probably others. Do I need power for this. Yes I do," Noah sighed, while his thoughts finally calmed down.
In that moment of self reflection he managed to clearify something: his desires were many and he couldn't pick just one, but their fufillment also depended on how much power he had, which eventually brought up the idea he currently had in mind.
'Can't I just mash them up together as my own will. I can subtract from them later,' he thought.
With that decision, Noah felt his soul core spin intensely, a unique energy that almost escaped his senses seeping out of his soul core.
Controlling a portion of that energy to leave his mind, Noah inmbued what he currently desired into that mass of almost-Invisible energy. 'Control'
His consciousness soon expanded again, this time being filled with his will which carried an intense desire to control the energy around him.
Noah soon felt his mind grab a large amount of energy in the room, he then felt the speed forces's' energy resonate with his desire to bring them under his control.
He had succeeded in that feat.
But when he went on, to try and move those chunks of energy, he encountered his first difficulty.
Immediately he tried to move the speed forces's' energy, he felt his mind instantly lose control of them, a wave of surprise smacking his mind, but he didn't give up.
His mind grabbed a large chunk of energy In the room, they also resonated with his intent to bring them under his control, but when he tried to move them, he felt them slip out of his control.
His will seemed Intense enough to seep into their fabric, but making them move according to his will felt hard, and it seemed like the chunks of energy didn't want to move.
Noah felt as though he tried to move a whole planet with his bare hands. Its not an exaggeration to say that feat was impossible, which he obviously gave up on trying after that observation, a soft sigh escaping his mouth.
A mass of shock suddenly filled his mind when he realized that his mind felt fatigued, and sweat drenched his ragged clothes.
"What gives!," Noah yelled in annoyance, while he felt his mind get back into shape. His healing skill had kicked in.
"At least I've succeeded in making my will," Noah nod in approval, "I just have to learn to make a planet bow to my will," He slumped his shoulders In defeat, his concentration eventually returning to the book.
"Hard wasn't it. Seemingly impossible even, but it actually isn't," The writer started.
"Think of the speed forces's energy like a rebellious child. Not just any rebellious child, a very powerful one; capable of wonders that even Mana couldn't hope to achieve," The writer paused, Noah reflecting on those words for a few seconds, before resuming his read.
"To get this very powerful rebellious child to do your bidding, you have to show that you are worthy of its respect"
"I'm sure you are currently wondering how you would communicate with a mass of energy that isn't sentient," The writer paused again, a smile appearing on Noah's face as he had truly been thinking that.
"The first thing you have to do is strip that notion from your mind. The speed force is a mass of energy, yes. But it is sentient in its own way, you will realize more of this as you advance in the purity of essence you are able to use,"
"After you've stripped that notion from your mind, you'll need to mediate on yourself, by mainly spreading memories of your past achievements to the energy around you, to reveal to it that you truly are worth it. And that you are also ready to bow to it for it to bow to you. All other things will fall in place if you succeed in this task," The writer ended at that point.
