Chapter 474 474. WATERFALL OF SPEED ESSENCE
Chapter 474 474. WATERFALL OF SPEED ESSENCE
Noah remained silent at the white figure's words. The light that came from him reduced in intensity. And he moved closer and closer until he was merely a few inches from him.
The being truly was tall. Towering about 3m in height. His shape was humanoid, but there were differences.
The crack in the fabric of space closed when the being got closer, and Noah saw that the light coming from his body had stopped shining. Its very skin was white. No apparent features were evident, and he didn't care much.
The being picked Noah up. Raising him to his face level.
He seemed to stare into Noah's eyes with shocking intensity, even if he couldn't make out eyeballs.
"Uhm…" Noah muttered, uncertain of what was going on.
"You're weaker than I expected. But I see it is as a result of the aberration of your current state," it stated. The excitement in his voice had been replaced by a cold calculative tone. The change was quick. Too quick.
"Notwithstanding, we will fix this before you leave this place. No matter how long it takes," It explained dropping Noah.
Noah furrowed his brows before taking multiple steps back. He could not sense the power of the being. He seemed to be devoid of it.
"Where is this place?" Noah asked, starting from the main point.
"This is the chamber of deep time," the suddenly motionless being replied. Its tone was normal. But still lacked excitement.
"I know that. But where in Cregar is the chamber of deep time," He rephrased his words.
"Cregar?" The white figure asked.
Noah felt taken aback.
"Yes, Cregar," he muttered now uncertain.
"I see…" The being went silent. "You mean the planet you were deposited in."
Noah frowned.
"Well yes," he responded, already beginning to generate different ideas.
"The chamber of deep time exists outside of worlds. It was built by me in a region of the cosmos that remains unreachable to you. It's a genuine realm of its own. Realms are higher than worlds," the being explained.
Noah remained silent for a few seconds. That was the first real info about the world he had gotten from the time he arrived in Cregar.
"Who are you?" Noah asked a bit suspicious.
"I am a fragment of the god of Speed," He replied calmly.
Noah lost his cool. Excitement sprung up in his mind. It would seem he was allowed to have more knowledge than usual.
"Who is the god of speed?" He further pushed.
"I'm not telling you that," the being replied shaking his head.
"You'll learn who I am as you progress. You've reached the midpoint between your advancement into the fourth tier. There's far much more in it than you would think."
Noah clicked his tongue but didn't complain. He was momentarily okay with knowing he could get answers.
"I know you have a lot of questions. But as I said. There are damages we must repair and things you understand before you finally break through into the fourth tier and take up the many things left for you, by me," the being continued pacing slowly.
Noah nodded.
"My breakthrough into the fourth tier," he muttered heaving a sigh.
"What are these things that need to be corrected," he inquired sweeping his gaze on the environment. He noticed how cool that place was. And although the colors there were mostly purple, he could still see clearly.
"That would be the rank of the speed forces energy you are allowed to utilize," he started walking in circles around his now sitting figure.
"You're only at the second rank. Before we begin anything. This will need to change."
Noah furrowed his brows. "You mean I'll have to cultivate?" He asked an obvious question.
"Yes," The being replied. "You'll cultivate for as long as possible until you reach the fourth rank."
"Uh!" Noah's eyes widened.
"Yes. This will give you a better chance to survive what is to come," the white figure stated, nodding.
Noah frowned. He understood his words, but the fact that he would need to cultivate that long shook him. He didn't have much time.
He felt ready to speak when the figure spoke again.
"You're not leaving until you meet my requirement. Even if it takes a few millennia," he stated with an authoritative tone.
Was there anything he could do at that point? He was reminded that he wasn't in full control. He wasn't the god of speed. Or his fraction.
"Before we begin, what do I address you as?" Noah asked.
"You can call me Ter," the white figure asked, and although it remained a weird name, Noah could only accept it.
As soon as Noah nodded, Ter waved his hand, and at that simple gesture, a linear crack opened in the very sky of that realm.
The crack began to expand as white light flowed out of its insides. Noah felt a strange feeling well up in his being and before he knew it, a deep-yellow mass fell from the crack. A waterfall of speed essence!
"You will submerge yourself in it. This is the best way to cultivate," Ter explained pointing at the rushing mass.
The waterfall of speed essence roared like a real waterfall, but the essence refused to spread like water. It simply resembled a pillar of speed essence.
Noah remained a bit worried about that command, but he approached the mass anyway. Pushing his hand inside the glorious essence, Noah saw that it did not hurt him.
It felt relaxing for his limb even.
With the lack of danger confirmed, he stepped into it and felt his body roar in a wave of excitement and vitality.
Ecstasy befell Noah and he immediately sat cross-legged and began to cultivate.
His body improved but he remained at the peak of the third tier. He simply grew in that realm, while his body got used to that purity.
He would need to cultivate until the third rank then finally reach the fourth. He had no idea how long that would take, and only when he took breaks did he remember to ask if the chamber of deep time had any special benefits.
According to Ter, that realm had a completely different time flow compared to the outside world. The rules there were different. But the fact was; it had a faster time-flow compared to the outside world. A month in that realm could mean a day or an hour, he'd have to return to Cregar to know.
Ter refused to tell Noah anything substantial until he reached the required goal. At that point, he was stuck with that monotonous routine.
Noah ended up needing a bit over two decades to reach the very peak of the third-speed essence rank!
