Chapter 481 481. SILVER CLOUD

Chapter 481 481. SILVER CLOUD

Noah remained unmoved after his beam of light surged forward to create a hole in the dark cloud. His authority over the affinity of light was still a bit rusty. Nevertheless, he wasn't in a rush. His mind was already working to understand the depths of that element.

Thanks to his new nature, although he was granted new affinities by the system, Noah knew very well that he could pick up a new one and simply learn it. Many rules had changed for him now.

A strange silence unfolded in the world after that truly spectacular event. Still, the clouds did not disperse and the aura that belonged to Cregar's avatar did not diminish.

Quite the contrary even. The aura belonging to his opponent surged and his instincts moved to alert him of the incoming attack.

Noah vanished from his position, however. His figure transformed into a silver streak that pierced the mist that had suddenly formed; to find his opponent.

He did so quickly.

Noah arrived before the gigantic blue chest of Cregar's avatar. It remained in one piece but was missing an arm. He could see that three more were growing. He wasn't worried, but he wouldn't let it.

In honesty, he felt taken aback that all his attack could do was destroy one of its arms. He could only blame that event on his low understanding.

He wouldn't let that happen again.

Forming a fist, Noah delivered a terrible punch to his opponent's chest.

The sky shook as the crackling figure directly disappeared from his view.

An explosion reached his eyes a second later, and he watched a huge cloud of dust unfold in the forest.

He could already tell that they might end up wiping out that forest in the battle.

The avatar was sturdy. More sturdy than Noah initially evaluated. His punch managed to shatter its crackling chest piece, but its real chest was left unharmed.

The dark cloud above them rumbled ready to refill the energy required for the armor, but Noah was quick.

Thanks to Ersha's memories, he understood what the affinity of speed meant. It was unlike those of ice and lightning. The affinity of Speed was derived from his new understanding.

'Speed in all aspects,' Thought Noah as he created a silver streak to arrive on his opponent's head.

The sheer force he packed made it kneel as its crackling helmet shattered into motes of energy. However, rather than disperse. They converged toward Noah, who tried something new.

As soon as those sparks landed on his skin, they disappeared. To be made clean and ready for use. His body automated that process. But he placed a bit of his focus on it anyway.

The avatar had learned from its first two mistakes, and as soon as Noah spent a whole second doing nothing, it waved its sword.

Ice spread around Noah and the temperature plunged.

He saw the sword coming and acted accordingly.

Noah stretched his fist forward meeting the sword's edge. Both connected, but cracks spread on the mass of ice and it directly shattered into tiny pieces of ice.

The event startled the avatar, but it remained too slow to do anything. The sky acted at that point.

A huge bolt of erratic energy fell on Noah's figure and the avatar. Noah frowned as he crashed into the ground creating a broad crater.

He had always been clothe-less since he arrive. And although the attack had not hurt him, it ticked him off. Unfortunately, as the seconds passed he could feel the manifestation of the Death lord title take control of his mind.

In a few minutes, he would become emotionless.

Noah stood without any struggle even if the cloud above him maintained a steady stream of its electrical discharge. His body even absorbed significant portions of its energy.

The only thing that suffered was the environment. That singular event had wiped out the trees around him. The ground turned black and became ash. Noah stood on a rapidly burning surface, but not for too long.

He shot towards the Avatar which now had its armor in full shape. The cloud stopped pouring energy when it saw that Noah remained unhurt.

It had utilized more than half its full capacity at that point. As soon as its reserves finished, the tribulation would be over.

A brawl unfolded in the world at that point. Powerful bangs erupted in the regions. Each of them being on par with explosions.

The sky never stopped releasing lightning bolts during those few seconds, and Noah never stopped throwing punches. He only resumed utilizing his affinities when he felt satisfied with the number of punches he had unleashed.

A huge pillar of ice rose to the sky at some point. Noah figured he would have ended the avatar long ago were it not for the cloud constantly replenishing its power. It had gotten a bit annoying.

He had experienced his fill of that tribulation he figured it was time to end it.

Once again allowing his mental waves to fill the lands and sky, the world trembled when it saw that another cloud form above its own.

The silver and shining cloud remained far smaller in size compared to the Cregar's cloud. But speed essence had created it. Its mere weight caused cracks to open in Cregar's cloud.

Noah took note of some arriving presence and felt forced to bring that tribulation to a close finally. He raised his hand while standing on the chest of the avatar. He had destroyed its lower half. The energy absorbed.

Clenching his right hand into a fist he triggered the discharge.

A blinding silver light flooded the sky as the small silver cloud completely emptied its reserves to unleash a bolt of terrifying size and might.

Noah remained unarmed, but the world around him disappeared when the huge mass fell on it. Cregar's cloud directly disappeared and the avatar below him saw cracks opening on its figure until it shattered, revealing the shining blue orb within it.

Noah took hold of the orb, crushed it, and felt his skin pull the energy into it. He barely felt any improvement from absorbing that energy, but something happened.
