Chapter 494 494. HOLY BLESSING
Chapter 494 494. HOLY BLESSING
An orange bird and a huge green lizard emerged from the mountain, the bird flying and the lizard crawling on the mountain like a wall. Noah saw those beasts approach his position and only saw moving masses of exp. He couldn't help it.
"After I'm done I'll deal with you," He revealed calmly, knowing the man could hear him. A magical triangle unfolded below the man as he took off. A cage made out of silvery ice unfolded at that point.
Its bars were closely positioned to not allow something as big as a human to pass but could allow viewing of the world around it.
Noah ascended into the sky willing to deal with the bird first. It sounded confident and proud. He could sense the meaning being its demeanor as clearly as possible.
He allowed his aura to flow out of his body and silver light filled the plain forcing the sunlight to retreat a bit.
A wide dark cloud unfolded above the plain and the sound of crackling thunder shook the world below.
Cold winds swept the plain's structure and the weaker beasts scrambled for shelter. Beings on a different level were about to engage in combat, merely the pressure they released had killed off many beasts.
Noah raised his hand and a thin strand of silver lightning reached out from the cloud to arrive in his grip.
It morphed into a sword at that point. But Noah waited. He waited for the beast to act first since he knew it wouldn't have any chance afterward.
The beast stopped drawing closer at Noah's show of power, instead, it opened its mouth to let out a jet of sizzling orange flames. Noah snorted and waved his stable sword at the creature.
A blinding flash of silver light filled the world before him as his attack collided with the jet of flames, splitting it into two. Before landing on the bird mostly intact.
A loud screech of agony erupted from the beast as the slash containing great might sent it toward the ground.
The instant it landed on the ground the silver bolt detonated, burying the beast in a spreading mass of silver sparks.
Thanks to the memories he gained from Ersha's blood, Noah understood the difference between dragons who were the top beasts with breath attacks, and normal magical birds with similar abilities.
The difference would of course be potency.
Dragons, no matter their levels were born with great attunement with mana. The fairly above-average quality of a dragon's mana would be about three times that of humans.
Yes, that much.
Dragons existed in places different from Cregar and even other humans existed in the cosmos. Cregar was just a planet in the vast universe, and he could only know this due to Ersha's memory.
The breath attacks of dragons featured a potency unrivaled amongst all other creatures with the same abilities. That was only possible thanks to their mana.
Noah switched his gaze to the green lizard. It had noticed the danger in fighting him and wanted to retreat. Noah of course wouldn't let that.
The dark cloud crackled with terrible power and silver light flooded the world again. This time a larger bolt consisting of other bolts jumped out of the cloud to land on the defenseless lizard. It technically stood at the same level Noah did, so the bolts were able to bypass its nigh-metallic scales.
The beast had not the chance to even voice a cry of pain before it entered a near-dead state.
"This is too easy," Noah muttered shaking his head. His attack had turned the lizard into a charred black figure and a great smoke rose from its figure bathing the field with the aroma of finely roasted meat.
The same could be said for the bird who had lost all its feathers and had been reduced to a black charred mass. Only beasts at the peak of the middle stage could give Noah a bit of trouble in killing them.
Higher-stage beasts would make him move with extreme caution. They could kill him after all. In truth, his real level would be close to the peak of the middle stage, or even its very peak.
Noah landed on the lizard while the sky cleared. He saw that it did not move even if it was still alive. He knew this because he had not received any notification. The loud voice of the system wouldn't let him miss the event.
Noah tapped his feet on the beast's body and made it turn into a chunk of ice after which he shattered it. And heard the system announce to him.
He only received exp however.
He utilized the same method for the bird, but killing both beasts didn't give him any level. It didn't bother him, however.
Ironically, only cultivating brought him quick gains. A lot of things had changed now that he became a Dark Speedling loved by the speed force.
Noah stored their green cores after that event and returned to the silver cage.
He walked through the bars of the cage as they let him pass without any obstruction. Noah didn't compete with his creations.
The man remained embedded in the crater. Noah had not spent two minutes in the battle.
'He might die,' he thought crouching before the barely conscious expert. His slap had been that strong?
Heaving a sigh even if he didn't feel anything Noah called upon one of his new skills.

"Twenty percent. That's a lot. Not worth the extra trouble," he muttered as calculations went on in his mind. Were he to make that decision he would be adding two million points of health to the individual's life. That was a lot.
Truth be told he desired to see the results of that event. He trusted in himself to be able to kill the man, but he considered it a not-so-good idea even if the only consequence was extra time.
"You'll have to come out of that yourself. You have a lot to tell me so don't die," his tone remained cold and his eyes flashed silver. They sent shivers down the individual's spine. Even if the expert couldn't see, his ears were still working.
