Chapter 276 - Tricked By Her Mother.

"Do you even understand what am going through now? My mother controls my life with the excuse that she is doing what's best for me. My father ...forget that one. And you, you keep me in the dark because you think is best for me. What is wrong with all of you?!"

After letting out these words, Chen Lihua pushed his hand away from her chest, before getting into the bed, and snuggling into the sheets, still crying.

??

Liu Longwei's heartfelt extremely embittered, seeing his wife so sad.

Normally, she would break things and shout whenever she was angry to let out her emotions. But this time around, she cried instead of her usual way of throwing tantrums.

And this could only mean that she was deeply hurt and affected by what happened.

Liu Longwei blamed himself a little, but there was nothing he could do in that situation.

He couldn't ruin their honeymoon with that kind of news, it wasn't worth the price or exchange.

He could only watch helplessly as Chen Lihua cried her heart out.

As he watched Chen Lihua cry the more, he felt an excruciating pain in his heart, and so he couldn't bear to watch her cry any longer.

He decided to do anything within his capability, to stop his wife from crying, even if it meant him getting beaten up by her.

He wouldn't mind at all if she gets to vent the anger within her on him. As long as she would stop crying and be okay, he was willing to do anything for her.

"Lihua, look am so sorry. I didn't want to ruin our honeymoon, and that's the reason I didn't tell you about your father, even though I knew about it. You were having so much fun, how could bear to ruin your happy mood? Sweetheart, please stop crying, I'm really sorry okay?" Liu Longwei explained and apologized while hugging her body with the sheets wrapped around her.

Chen Lihua didn't move an inch or say anything to him at least that meant that she didn't reject him.

Liu Longwei heaved a sigh of relief internally, as he continued to hold her in his arms.

"You all are so mean! No wonder my mom asked me that question on the eve to our wedding. She was indirectly seeking my permission for him to walk me down the aisle, and I stupidly agreed not knowing anything," Chen Lihua recounted bitterly.

Liu Longwei continued holding on tightly to her while allowing her to say her mind. He didn't dare to interrupt her for fear of raising her emotions again, just as she started to become calm.

"I can't believe I was fooled by my mother so easily. I thought I had a high IQ, but no, I guess it's just for fancy. If I could be fooled this easily, then I am a BIG FOOL!" Chen Lihua scolded herself angrily.

"Sweetheart, you are not a fool. It wasn't your fault that you listened to your mother because you trusted her. And there was no way you would have felt that something was up because that was the eve to our wedding, and so everyone was busy with one task or the other. And your thoughts were towards our big day, so you shouldn't blame yourself, so, stop crying," Liu Longwei said, trying to console her.

"But I can't seem to stop crying. My father reappeared after five years of having thought he died, and only for him to come back this time around, healthy and sound. I used to hate him a lot, but after a talk with my mother that night, I started to hate him less. And because I thought he was dead, I decided to let bygones be bygones. But now that I am aware that he is still breathing, I really can't tell my emotions right now," Chen Lihua said as more tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Sweetheart, if I am to tell you the truth, then I really must tell you, forgive your father and forget whatever happened in the past. It's useless holding grudges of the past that won't repeat itself again when you already have a present and a future ahead of you. You need to concentrate and spend your energy on your present and future. You will see that your heart and mind will feel so free and light once you let go of all the grudges you have in your heart against him," Liu Longwei advised.

Chen Lihua sniffed as her crying reduced a lot. Liu Longwei's advice seemed to have sunk right into her head.

She turned her body to face him and said while staring right into his eyes, "Since my parents got together, they haven't even tried to contact me. I bet they are too busy spending time with each other to bother with me."

Liu Longwei sighed while patting her back, "I don't think so. I think they are busy thinking and worried about how to contact you since they have hurt you."

"Really? You think they are worried about me?" Chen Lihua asked with a little hope in her eyes.

"Of course. If you hurt someone you love, won't you be feeling bad and worried?" Liu Longwei asked.

"Of course I will be worried, and start thinking of how to contact the person," Chen Lihua replied while wiping her tears away.

"Good, because that's how your parents are feeling right now," Liu Longwei assured her.

After talking to her, Liu Longwei only left her side when he was sure she had fallen asleep.

His phone rang, and he immediately left the bedroom with it for fear that Chen Lihua would be awakened by the noise.

Outside the bedroom, Liu Longwei answered the call after looking at the caller ID.

"Hello, Mom," Liu Longwei greeted.

"Hello Longwei, how are you and Hua'er doing? I heard that you two are back to the country," Lady Chen said from the other end of the phone.
