Chen K just watched as Lady Chen walked away with Little Weiyuan.

??

A few days later, he did a DNA test, and that confirmed the relationship status between him and Weiyuan. And since then, Lady Chen has been looking after Weiyuan.

Just when Weiyuan turned to be a teenager, his mother who abandoned her because of fame and career, came back for him.

When he was younger, she said she would visit him in two years, but she never came.

She only came back when she conquered her quest for fame.

Weiyuan's birth mother was a celebrity model who turned into a fashion designer.

So when Weiyuan chose to go with her instead of staying back after Lady Chen pleaded, it broke her heart.

This was the son she raised and poured out her love on. She took care of him like her own biological child, but he chose to leave with the woman that abandoned him for fame.

Weiyuan has always known his true identity, so when Chen Lihua was born, he took her as his sister even though he knew they were not related by full blood.

So it was only Chen Lihua who didn't know he was her half-brother, mainly because a year after she was born, Weiyuan chose to go to a boarding school (live in school) for three years, before Lady Chen went to personally withdraw him.

When Weiyuan came back to live in the house permanently, Chen Lihua addressed him as, brother because Lady Chen taught her so.

Another reason is that Chen Lihua witnessed Weiyuan's mother come to pick him up, and she heard him address her as, 'mother'.

And when she asked Lady Chen why Weiyuan was leaving with 'that woman', Lady Chen replied, "That woman is his mother, so he has to go with her."

Back to present......

"Mum, honestly, I don't know what to say or feel. I'm quite surprised that something as important as this wasn't known to me." Chen Lihua said without a smile on her face.

"I know, your dad and I are very sorry about it. We thought you wouldn't take the news lightly since you were quite jealous back then, even when you were not aware he was your brother."

Chen Lihua was was silent for a while before speaking up, "It's alright, it's just that it will take some time for me to digest this information and accept this new relationship status."

"I'm surprised you didn't flare up." Lady Chen said in surprise.

"What! You were expecting me to be angry and start screaming? Well, I've grown past that. I've moved to another level in life. I have a child now, so I need to worry about him instead of unnecessary matters and realities that won't change." Chen Lihua said, surprising her mother.

It wasn't wrong for Lady Chen to expect the unexplainable from Chen Lihua, because she knew the kind of daughter she raised, she knew her personality in and out.

The normal or Old Chen Lihua would have flared up and gotten angry, and also showed her immature side. But it seems she has grown up now.

Becoming a mother was changing her, and that was a good thing.

"Seriously, I was expecting you to do that, so I came prepared to swallow all of your actions since I was at fault. But you proved me wrong. Becoming a mother has really changed your temperament." Lady Chen said in satisfaction.

"Listening to you say all these, I can imagine how immature I was back then. Well, I've grown up now, and things have changed." Chen Lihua said.

Having a child changed Chen Lihua's temperament. She doesn't see any other thing important apart from her two months old son. Every other thing was secondary and should come after him.

"It's great your temperament has changed, it's for the best. Weiyuan will like to meet with you. He has been disturbing me about it since he came back." Lady Chen informed her.

"I can't see him now, but he can phone me." Chen Lihua said in reply.

"That's fine, I will tell him to call you. Look, the child is awake." Lady Chen said as she gazed at the little bun with a happy smile on her face.

Chen Lihua looked over and so her baby awake, with his eyes shining as he moved his little fist about. Naturally, a smile appeared on her face.

"Liu Wei is so quiet. He doesn't even seek a notice when he wakes up." Lady Chen said.

"Mum who told you that? He does seek notice, a lot. Indeed, he is always calm when he wakes up from sleep. But after watching me for some minutes and discover that I have no plans on lifting him, he would start to cry." Chen Lihua revealed with a motherly love in her eyes.

"I want to hold my grandson for a little while." Lady Chen said as she walked to his side. Chen Lihua lifted the mosquito net, and Lady Chen lifted the child.

"He has gained more weight, and he is very healthy." Lady Chen said as she sat back on the sofa with her grandson in her arms.

The little guy gave her a curious look before smiling, thereby sampling his gums.

"Oh my! He smiled. That means he recognized me after not seeing me for three days." Lady Chen said as she smiled in surprise.

"Of course. I'm surprised he remembers faces as young as he is. Maybe he recognized your scent, or maybe three days is not that long for him to forget someone that has been taking care of him since he was born.
