Chapter 585 - Lady Chen Is Angry With Liu Longwei

After what seems like an eternity to Liu Longwei, Chen Lihua was finally wheeled out of the theater, and Liu Longwei hurried to her side with worry written all over his face.

Chen Lihua's eyes were tightly shut, and her lips told that she must have lost a lot of blood.

Liu Longwei felt pain in his chest before turning to the doctor to ask in a worried tone, "How is my wife?."

"She is out of danger now. It will be good if she doesn't get pregnant immediately, because of the little damage the drugs caused to her body." The doctor advised.

Liu Longwei did not say anything. He has nothing to say as long as his wife was fine.

After wheeling Chen Lihua to the VVIP room, the doctor asked Liu Longwei if he wanted to see their child before she was taken to the morgue.

Remembering their child, Liu Longwei felt a bit lost. He didn't know he would explain things to Chen Lihua when she regained consciousness.

He had to help her decide since he wasn't sure it would be a good thing for her to see their dead child.

"Doctor, I will come and see the child soon, thank you!." Liu Longwei said to the doctor.

"I understand." The doctor and said and glanced at Chen Lihua before sighing.

"I will leave you two alone now." The do tor said before leaving the room.

Liu Longwei's eyes were already bloodshot now. He felt a pang of guilt hit him as he saw his wife lying motionless.

He lowered his body and said to her. "I'm grateful I still have you despite everything, but I'm afraid you might not want me when you learn that the child is gone. It's all my fault, I caused all of these, I couldn't protect you!."

There was nobody to console Liu Longwei at the moment. There was only the unconscious Chen Lihua with him, while Anne remained waiting outside the door.

Not long after, Lady Chen and Madam Liu arrived. The two women immediately rushed to Chen Lihua's side as soon as they stepped into the room.

"Lihua?." Lady Chen called softly as she caressed her daughter's face.

"Longwei, what did the doctor say, will Jia Li be okay?." Madam Liu turned to her son to ask as she wiped the tears that appeared at the corner of her eyes.

"Physically she will be fine, but mentally, I don't know. I feel I have failed as a husband and as a father. I couldn't protect my wife and child." Liu Longwei said as he stood at the side as he suffered from excruciating pain mentally.

Lady Chen sighed as she sat beside Chen Lihua and held her hand.

"My child, you have suffered a lot, and I promise to bring justice to you and your lost child." Lady Chen swore.

She knew the pain of losing a child because she has lost a set of twin boys before, and she knew how painful it was.

Madam Liu couldn't hold her tears anymore as she began to weep. "What did Lihua do to deserve all of these?!."

Turning to Longwei, Lady Chen asked, "Where is the person responsible for bringing pain to my child and for killing my granddaughter?."

"She is under my custody, and currently undergoing torture." Liu Longwei replied.

"What torture is good enough to bring my grandchild back? Look at the state my daughter is in, all because of that woman!." Lady Chen said angrily and Madam Liu tried to calm her down.

"Ju Ju, please don't scream, Lihua is having a rest."

At her friend's reminder, Lady Chen lowered her tone. She was pained that her son-in-law's ex harmed her daughter.

"Mum, I'm sorry." Liu Longwei apologized as he looked down. He was guilty and he knew it. He wished he had the ability to see the future so he would have stopped this accident from happening, but unfortunately, he was only a human without superpowers.

Lady Chen didn't know what to feel. Truthfully, she didn't want to listen to him because he didn't handle his old affairs very well and that caused her daughter to be hurt, but she couldn't blame him entirely, because he had already broken up with his ex, almost a year before he got married to her daughter.

Madam Liu knew that Lady Chen was very angry, and she was too. It's just that she didn't know who to blame. Whenever she turned to glance at her daughter-in-law that was lying unconscious on the bed, she would feel for her.

"Longwei, I am angry with you, but I can't really blame you for everything. I want you to make that woman pay a price worse than death for messing with my daughter. Without my permission, she is not to be handed over to the police." Lady Chen said in an authoritative tone.

Liu Longwei nodded in understanding. He was not even planning to release Zie Yu any time soon. He would give her the worst punishment ever given to a human. He would do everything to torture her till he felt better.

A few minutes later, Liu Longwei told them he was going to see the dead child before she was sent to the morgue.

"I will come with you." Lady Chen said to Liu Longwei, and the two left the room together.

When Liu Longwei saw his dead child, the daughter he's has always wanted, his eyes became teary. The child's complexion has already changed color.

"She would have been a beauty like her mother." Lady Chem said as she wiped her tears.

"Mum, take care of Lihua, I will go and bury the child. I don't think she might want to see her when she wakes up." Liu Longwei said with her gaze on Lady Chen.

"Go ahead. I don't think Lihua can handle the news of her child, and she may not want to see the child because of the immense amount of pain." Lady Chen said.

Liu Longwei turned around and wiped the tear at the corner of his eye, before turning around to wrap the dead child with the clothe before lifting her in his arms.

"Your mother loved you with everything she had, I hope you rest well and forgive us for not being able to do anything to keep you." Liu Longwei whispered to the dead child in his arms.

Lady Chen placed her hand on Liu Longwei's shoulder and said to him, "Go and come back before Lihua wakes"

So late on the night, Liu Longwei went to bury his dead child.
