Unsealing Emptiness

Chapter 298

Chapter 298

Chapter 298: ...Why?

At this moment, the duo was in the meeting together with the other elite members of the organization.

Blaze hardly understood anything complicated in these meetings, but he participated nonetheless. Raven’s burning glares also added to his ‘motivation’.

Since Ozul had given them a mission to speed up the process of infiltrating the other organizations, both of them had to be updated to the latest information at all times.

Both of them were confident in their abilities. Even when Blaze wasn’t much of a strategist, he was still strong enough to make anyone under Rank-9 give a run for their money. Hence, both had decided to work separately to speed up their progress.

Haley also detailed them on all the branch locations of the organization together with the structure of their system in case they weren’t aware. It turned out to be a good idea since Blaze really didn’t know anything about those details.

Sitting through the boring meeting, Blaze was just about to ask Haley if she knew where Ozul had gone when he noticed her bolting up from her seat.

Following suit, he saw Raven next to him also stand up. Realizing what it meant, he also stood up while moving his eyes towards the stairs.

.....

“Young Master,” x2

Haley and Irvin both bowed, following the rest of the elite members except for Raven and Blaze.

As everyone looked at Ozul, their eyes directly went to his white shirt, which didn’t look so white anymore. Sleeping two days in a row in the middle of the forest and on the ground leaned against a tree wouldn’t have exactly protected him from the dirt.

Although he didn’t care about his appearances, Raven very much did.

She approached him to hand him a new pair of clothes.

‘Hmm?... Oh, my clothes,’ Ozul realized her intentions through the eyes directed at his clothes.

Disregarding that everyone was currently looking at him, Ozul began to remove his simple white shirt under the gaping stares of everyone present there.

For a moment, even Raven was stunned. Her hand holding the white shirt she had just taken out of the Spatial Ring paused in mid-air.

Oblivious to everyone’s pause, Ozul took the shirt from Raven’s hand and quickly put it on.

Just like that, he didn’t wait for anyone before he proceeded to take off his pants as well...

“Young master-”

“Cough... ”

“Really now~”

“Young master, please mind the surroundings...”

Irvin, Blaze, Oliver, and Haley all spoke respectively.

“Hm?” Ozul’s hand hadn’t even touched his pants when he heard them all shout at him. He looked up to notice their pleading expressions.

A few of the members present there were now on the ground for some reason. He also didn’t fail to notice that all of those on the ground were female.

Raven and Haley were one of the few female members still on their feet.

Except for Raven, those still standing were all married. Still, this didn’t stop them from admiring the heavenly sight which had greeted them just a moment ago. After all, even the men in the room were staring at him with unbelieving eyes.

As Ozul looked at Raven, he noticed her standing there in a daze. Her eyes weren’t focused on anything. She was most likely daydreaming at this moment, considering those reddened ears.

‘Oh yes... almost forgot...’ Ozul muttered in his head.

He really didn’t care if anyone saw him naked. However, he still had to be careful around others as once instructed by Grandma Carol.

He took the pants from the lightheaded Raven and went to the top floor to change his pants, leaving everyone to collect their thoughts.

With a teasing smile on his face, Oliver muttered, “huhu~ It seems he still don’t understand that he possess this skill~”

As Raven recovered from her fantasies, she heard his mutterings and asked absentmindedly, “huh? What skill?”

“Hm? I didn’t say anything,” Oliver pretended to be oblivious.

He could have joked around, but now that Raven was a peak Rank-8 Mage, he didn’t want to get on her bad side, even by mistake.

However, the men in the room all shared the same sentiments as Oliver. Some sighed with envy, while others just shook their heads at how oblivious Ozul was to this ‘skill’ of his.

It didn’t take long for Ozul to come back, now looking as if he hadn’t just spent two whole days in a forest just to sleep.

By this time, most of the members had already left for their duties, and only Haley remained with a couple of others and the duo.

“We are ready to leave anytime,” Blaze informed him as he took a seat.

Haley had already told them everything necessary, and they didn’t ask for any extra help either. She had also given them particular emblems that were supposed to prove their identity as one of the upper echelons. Even the branch heads would listen to whoever possessed them.

The duo now waited if Ozul had anything else to say.

But instead of answering them, Ozul shot a look towards Haley, “Is it done?”

“Yes young master. Fortunately, we didn’t have to search outside the Neutral Lands,” Haley replied proudly.

The task he had given her could have taken months if they were unlucky. She couldn’t help but feel overjoyed.

“Good. But... this is not a suitable place,” he said while taking a look around the floor, “Let’s move to the training ground. It is empty.”

Although they didn’t understand how Ozul could tell that no one was in the training ground while sitting here, they still held no doubt to his words.

As he stood up to leave the tower, the duo followed right after him while Haley called for a man and gave him some instructions before also moving out.

...

Now in the training ground, Ozul waited together with Haley while Raven and Blaze could only stare at each other in confusion.

A minute passed before two men clad in black entered the ground with a third person.

The third man wore white clothes, the same as those priests of the Church of Light. However, his current dishevelled appearance was quite contradictory.

Snot and tears ruined the man’s face. Together with the scrunched up expressions of the middle-aged man, he looked as if he was a well-dressed beggar instead.

“I am telling you people! Release me this instant! Do you even know who I am?!” the well-dressed beggar yelled while trying his best to release himself from the grip of the other two men.

Unfortunately for him, their grip didn’t even budge at his resistance. Their strength was obviously a level above the beggar.

As he was brought closer to the group by the two men, Blaze finally had a clear look on the man’s face, and his eyes couldn’t help but widen with surprise.

It was obvious that he had recognized the man.

“Release the man,” Ozul ordered.

Following his words, the two men immediately released their grip and took a step back.

“What? Who are you?! Do you even-” the middle-aged men yelled while pointing his finger at Ozul. At the same time, he was taking a step back when he felt something prick the back of his neck.

His words were stuck in his mouth. Now that he looked back at the cold and indifferent eyes staring at him, he felt as if he were to make even a single movement; he would lose his life right then and there!

Not even daring to move a single muscle, the middle-aged man couldn’t even move his eyes away from Ozul.

“You can leave,” Ozul said, looking at Haley.

Haley nodded her head and gave him a respectful bow before leaving the training ground together with the other two men dressed completely in black.

Although she was very much curious as to what Ozul wanted to do with this man, she did not dare to overstep her boundaries.

Now that they were alone, Ozul looked towards Blaze.

The latter’s eyes were still fixated on the middle-aged man.

The rage that had been suppressed for years within his heart started to resurface as the surroundings started to get colder by the minute.

Years had passed, and although Blaze had come a long way since then, how could he forget the face of the person responsible for his misery all those years ago? The so-called priest who had labelled him as the Demon?

“There you have him. I had promised... you will have your revenge. Do whatever you want to.”

Leaving these words, Ozul walked out of the training ground.

He had promised Blaze that if this person was alive by the time he was strong enough, he would get his revenge. Now, he was more than strong enough.

Only after hearing Ozul’s words did Raven start to make sense of what was happening.

She realized that it was Blaze’s personal matter, so she also hurriedly followed behind Ozul. It wasn’t their place to stay and watch what he did with this priest. It would have been a different situation if he wanted their help from here on out.

Now alone with the person he despised the most in this world, Blaze kept looking at the middle-aged man, holding himself back from instantly killing him.

Years later, the hate he felt for this man burned just as hot as it did back then.

Revenge was truly best served cold.

But before getting his revenge and killing this man, Blaze had a simple question he still needed to ask this man,

“...Why?”
