Chapter 575 YOU ARE SO HEARTLESS

"How I know what you showed me is real?" Zuri had her own suspicion regarding this matter, especially when she regained her sense back and she could think more clearly right now. She looked at the devil right in the eyes. His golden eyes shone brightly.

Hearing that, Hades shrugged his shoulder nonchalantly. "You are allowed to not believe me. You call the shot, Zuri. I am here to remind you about my offer."

"In another word, there is a chance that all you show me was a lie," Zuri said bluntly. She moved away from Hades and stood up, while the devil was still kneeling on the carpeted floor.

"Why should I lie to you? What can I get?" Hades tilted his head innocently.

However, instead of answering his question, Zuri posted her own question, as if she didn't hear him in the first place. "Why do you want me to be your bride so bad?"

He had come into her life years ago, since she was a child, did he harbor that intention since that time too? it would be a nerve- wrecking if he did.

Little did she know, Aaron did it to Emma. She was Liam's twin daughter and she had been the devil's bride ever since she was born, because she supposed to be died and Aaron helped to revive his daughter.

It was something that the devil could do, but then it was not exactly a life. It was something that you borrowed.

Something that Aaron could take it as he pleased, after all, it was a deal with the devil, what you would expect to happen? It was sweet in the beginning, but then it would reveal its ugly truth.

"Because I like you," Hades replied. His voice was so soft, couple with the tranquility of this room, it felt surreal to say that this devil was actually having a bad intention. He looked so genuine with what he said.

But then, Zuri had gone through so much to be enchanted by his charm. She simply narrowed her eyes and then walked toward the fireplace to add more firewood in it, as the room became warmer.

"What are you thinking again now? You don't believe me? You don't want to be with me? I have known you for years. I was the one, who was there when you first ran away from alpha Xerxes's pack, broken and at lost. I accompanied you, didn't I?" Hades didn't raise his voice, but what he said was so clear, he was counting an old debt.

"I never asked you to do that," Zuri said coldly, she gazed at the fire and it reflected on her eyes, making her looked so beautiful and ethereal, especially when her white hair turned into bright color. "You could leave me for all I care, I don't need that sympathy."

"Ck, ck," Hades clicked his tongue in annoyance, he looked at him with so much adoration, he liked her obstinate nature and adore her even more when she was this annoyed. "You really know how to break people's heart."

"I can't call you people, you are a devil, I don't even know that you have a heart at all."

"You are so good to choose your words," Hades sighed. "But, your fierceness only makes me like you even more."

Zuri didn't pay close attention to that, as she kept staring at the fire, she looked like she was deep in her own world.

This fire would burn the whole continent and she had a chance to stop it. It didn't mean that she cared so much to those random people's lives, but among them, there were people that she knew and she didn't want them to suffer.

Especially when in the end, she could no longer recognize Chaos. He had done it twice in the past, why wouldn't he be able to do it again now?

Zuri felt conflicted, though she knew already what kind of decision that she would make. It was still hard for her, she felt like she was shackled into this choice.

Actually, there was no choice to begin with.

"What will happen to Chaos if I accept your offer?" This was her main concern for now. She didn't want Aaron to reach to Chaos in his vulnerable state and she didn't think he would accept it with opened arms and a smile on his lips if he learned that she would be Hades's bride.

"He will be in that state forever," Hades replied lightly, as if this was not something that worth of his attention at all.

"What?" Zuri turned her body around immediately, she glared at the devil in disbelieved, but he actually flickered and appeared on the sofa, sitting comfortably there, as if he didn't say anything earlier. "What did you say?!" Zuri's temper flared when she was so angry at him. Her eyes shot a dagger look at the man.

However, Hades couldn't care less about that, he yawned leisurely. "So? What do you want me to do?" He looked at her provokingly. "What do you expect when he woke up? That he would congratulate us for being together?" He tilted his head, a sly grin on the corner of his lips. "Do you really think that he wouldn't throw a temper tantrum? He would kill me once he learned about it."

What he said was right. There was no way Chaos would accept that, but then Zuri couldn't accept the fact that Chaos would never wake up again.

"Don't be so dramatic, you can't die!" Zuri balled her fists beside her body, she really wanted to tear him apart for even suggesting such thing.

"And then what if I couldn't die? Is it alright for you to watch your groom is being bullied?" Hades made an expression, as if she had wronged him greatly. "You are so heartless!"
