Chapter 55 The Crescent Moon Birthmark

Chapter 55 The Crescent Moon Birthmark

?Lukas' eyes widened momentarily and he held a hand to stop the young woman from approaching. "Hold on a second there, Miss Weisse–you can't go all out suddenly and demand to see my birthmark."

"I can and I will," Serena Weisse blankly said. "Either you will cooperate with me or we will have to go through this the hard way."

"T-This… you can't just rip my shirt off or something! That's harassment even for someone like you!"

"Then please cooperate so I do not subject myself to that."

"Come on, what's with this sudden desire to see my birthmark? Who knows if it faded away or disappeared already at this point."

"There will still be traces or marks left from it." Serena Weisse pointed out. "Surely, you would know better if you are truly, 'Lukas', to whom I'm speaking with."

The urge to curse aloud was now in his mind, especially because after such a long time–the VR System chose to reveal itself to him.

'Stop giving me warnings and provide me with something useful instead!' Lukas thought to himself aloud as he warily took off the suit jacket he was wearing and handed it over to Serena.

"Please be a little more careful with it–that's from a fashion designer in Nox Chambers," Lukas said. "I'd rather keep it in a perfect condition."

"If you truly wished for that, then you wouldn't have slept while wearing it."

"Come on now, give me a little space to breathe." Lukas sighed as he started to unbutton his long-sleeved shirt slowly. "We all had a long night, didn't we? And now you're even asking me to undress in front of you. What if I had a birthmark on my inner thigh? Should I start removing my pants and boxers too?"

Underneath the moonlight, Serena Weisse's cheeks were only faintly red–but it was clear that Lukas' words had an effect.

Which was perfect for him as we stalling his brains out.

There was a way for him to get out of this mess–he just had to remember. Something, anything that was available for him… right! He had this option right around the start!

Why was there such a long waiting time?!

"Y-You… you would have needed to show me, yes." Serena cleared her throat and shook her head. She proceeded to give him a slight glare. "Please do not delay this moment and distract me with such questions–I am not your girlfriend."

"But what if I wanted to?" Lukas raised a brow.

"P-Pardon?"

"What if I wanted you to be my girlfriend." Lukas smiled and paused from unbuttoning his shirt. "What would you say to that? The two of us haven't actually been able to interact a lot, but from the moment that I saw you–I knew that you were different from the rest of them."

"W-well, that's surely because of my bloodline." Serena said and met his gaze squarely. "But I do not think that is related to anything except if you're interested in the power and wealth associated with the Weisse House."

"Nope, not interested." Lukas shook his head.

"But you were tempted by the 100,000 Nyx–"

"Simply because I wanted to provide a good and average life for me and my girlfriends, you know?" Lukas shrugged. "What kind of partner would I be if I wasn't able to at least contribute to my loved ones' lives, don't you think?"

"Yes, your girlfriends…" Serena Weisse's eyes narrowed at him. "What kind of individual do you think you are to be able to have that many people as your girlfriend?"

"Um, no one special. We all just like each other and what's the problem with that?"

"Do you not think that there's something inherently wrong for you to be in a romantic relationship with more than one individual–"

"Nope. Not at all." Lukas grinned. "Nothing wrong with it. Do you have a problem with it?"

"Y-yes!" Serena fumed at last, her defenses breaking down as she placed a hand on her chest. "And you're expecting me, the Overlord of Lux City to be content and share you with other people–"

"Ohoho, that kinda makes it sound like you're actually interested." Lukas whistled.

Serena Weisse's expression faltered for a moment before she turned her head away. She crossed her arms over her chest and huffed.

"T-That's merely a hypothetical situation!"

"Ah, it's really nice to see another side of you at last," Lukas said and rubbed his chin slightly. He chuckled. "I didn't think that it would be this cute and adorable though."

"What are you talking about–"

"I think that you really must have had a hard time being the Overlord of the City of Lux at such a young age. I'm presuming we're not too far apart in age–and yet this responsibility has already been placed on your shoulders. I can see why you learned how to harden yourself and appear cold to the world." Lukas commented. "You're a strong person, Serena. I respect that even more than you coming from the Weisse bloodline."

Serena Weisse blinked and stared at him for a moment, falling silent at his words. It was almost as if there was something that clicked in her mind as she looked at him. She couldn't believe the words that left the young man's lips.

Lukas had seemed like a good for nothing man, someone lucky who had been given strength and power out of nowhere alongside the social capability to not only have one but two girlfriends…

And yet he was also capable of making such thoughtful words.

Words that people have never really ingrained in Serena because this was her fate, they said.

"Here by the way," Lukas said.

It snapped Serena Weisse out of her thoughts, and soon she looked at the toned body of Lukas. A faint blush crawled across her cheek, but she searched and found what she wanted. There exactly on his arm was the crescent moon birthmark!

Serena looked at him in shock.

"Satisfied?" Lukas asked with a grin.
