Chapter 14 - Champion's Great Perseverance!

Chapter 14 - Champion's Great Perseverance!

-----

[Noah]

[Bloodline: Vampire (Awakening)]

[Vitality: 38]

[Mind: 37]

[Force: 29]

[Skill(s): [Blood Progenitor: - (SSS)], [Undying Body: 14 (A)], [Blood Claws: 26 (C)], [Blood Manipulation: 31 (D)] (New!), [Blood Projectiles: 18 (D)] (New!), [Champion's Great Perseverance: 1 (C)] (New!)

Noah quickly checked his Attribute Panel, seeing that his Attribute Values had increased, and alongside this, there were three new Skills!

"So the Goblin gave me Champion's Great Perseverance… But what are these Blood Manipulation and Blood Projectiles? Did these appear as Skills in the middle of the fight?" wondered Noah.

"Didn't I told you that you would be awakening Skills as you fought, Noah? Blood Manipulation and Blood Projectiles are one such Skill. It was rather obvious that they would show up, as you already showed that you were able to use Blood, shape it, and even use it as projectiles. Now, through these Skills, the task should become easier," said the Blood Progenitor.

"So these just popped up because I had already gained their proficiency when I manipulated blood and shaped it as projectiles… Interesting, I guess they're rather straightforward and good Skills to have, there is never enough Skills," said Noah, who had grown obsessed with possessing a Skill through his entire life now had plenty of them, which could not make him happier!

And the new Skill was also very good, more than he had imagined.

"This one Skill is C-Rank… Despite the monster, we killed being F-Rank… This might be a very rare one within the pool of Skills that the Goblin Champion Ability Core has…" said Noah.

"I guess it is also thanks to me that you got such a Skill from the Goblin Champion Ability Core," said the Blood Progenitor.

"What? How?" asked Noah with intrigue.

"Similarly to how I can make more monsters appear, I was also, more or less, capable of generating items… Well, the thing is, they are generated when I die! And those items were the ones that those Hunters brought home. It could be said that now that you possess my power, you can draw higher quality items or Skills from Ability Cores thanks to this passive effect," said the Blood Progenitor.

"Huh… It feels more like Luck than the manipulation over the System to generate greater items, but alright, whatever," said Noah.

"Luck doesn't exist in this world, and I am pretty sure that there is no Luck Attribute Value either! Everything has a reason to be, I don't believe that chance governs us all!" said the Blood Progenitor.

"And from where did that mentality came from? I can't believe that you would have developed such a mind by just living inside a Dungeon, right?" asked Noah.

"Of course, my life has been very long, being reduced to this simple voice in your mind is quite pathetic… I used to- No, I will not tell you yet," said the Blood Progenitor.

"Oh? So you are still into keeping secrets… Very well, keep your secrets," laughed Noah, as he finally checked what could the Champion's Great Perseverance Skill do.

The Skill coated Noah's body with a glowing red aura, and it seemed to harden his skin, bones, and muscles.

"Oh? It is an enhancement-type Skill, an active one… it is draining my Mana quite crazily," said Noah.

Then, Noah also realized another thing, for some reason, he felt like his Mana was connected to his Health.

"What is this?" he thought.

He then decided to try out something, slicing a bit of his skin with his nails, realizing that the damage he received was partially taken by his Mana too, reducing what he got into his Health.

"How odd… Although I am fairly sure that if I get my head blown off, this won't really help. Nonetheless, it is remarkably interesting," thought Noah.

After some more inspection, Noah finally figured out this powerful Skill.

Champion's Great Perseverance was an active buff skill that increased Noah's Vitality and Force by a whopping 20 points temporarily, alongside this, it granted him the ability to offset some of the damage done into his Mana, and there was also an extra description saying that if his Health Points ran out, his Mana would begin to be used as Health Points instead.

However, the Skill itself drained a lot of Mana, and Noah calculated that without having to drink Blood to recover his Mana, he could use this Skill for around five minutes before his Mana were to completely run out, which also came accompanied by a strong headache and soreness all over his body.

But Noah simply smiled wickedly!

As long as he had a nice amount of Stockpiled Blood inside of his Blood Sphere, which he could store inside of his very body, he could easily recover his Mana Pool fully at least two more times!

With that, such Skill could be used even more in battle, and in the many, he was already predicting to come, as he was not planning to be bullied after getting these powers.

If possible, he was probably going to kill those that bullied him and drink their blood.

Although he had considered converting them into Vampires, it would be a pain to have these guys that Noah hated so much as people at his side, even if they were to become brainwashed, Noah would not become able to trust them.

And Iris, who was in a similar situation to him, would most likely think the same about her bullies…

Indeed, Noah had grown colder and more calculative now, and he was even planning the death of such people.

However, there was a problem.

One of the leaders of the group that bullied him is the little brother of an S-Rank Hunter, which is luckily not in Sector D at the moment.

If Noah were to kill it, he would have to do it swiftly and in a way where no evidence could be left about him being the one that killed him.

It might be hard, but he had already planned something.

He simply needed money.

By selling Cores, he would become able to gain money, and through money, he would be able to buy special items or other Ability Cores that might offer a pool of skills that could be useful for his plans.

One of his first goals was to get his hands into a Spatial Storage Ring.

Through it, he was planning to save the corpses of those he killed, simply as that.

Another thing he would desire is some kind of Accessory that could give him a Stealth Effect, and even Camouflage, even.

Although there could be the chance of getting those Skills in Ability Cores, they were completely random, and even after the Blood Progenitor told Noah that he was enhancing his luck or something, he really did not want to bet everything on it.

So, the best option was to get an accessory.

Unlike Ability Cores, accessories or equipment could bring a Skill without having the randomness of a large pool of them.

Specialized Hunters had Skills that could let them embed Skills into items, and such accessories were born and sold at high prices due to their rarity and preciousness.

However, Stealth and Camouflage Pendants were already within Noah's scope, as the Military School's Shop sold them, as there was a strong Hunter that was paid by the government to mass-produce these useful accessories, and they were selling them exclusively in the Military School or in other areas that were linked to the government.

Such items were put in here to bribe people to join these organizations.

However, to even get his hands into these two accessories, Noah needed a crap ton of money.

"I have to quickly grind my way up and then begin to amass Cores and other items to sell…" thought Noah.

Although he feared that he might not be able to get his hands into those items before a perfect opportunity came to kill those he abhorred.

So in that instance, he planned a few other things…
