Chapter 144 - Scarlet
Chapter 144 - Scarlet
-----
After the creation of Scarlet, the Blood Manor, the Blood Progenitor reacted to its creation with awe, remembering the "necromancy" that those of a family of vampires wielded within his original world, the world of Vampires, Abyss.
And Noah as the shrewd man he was, immediately decided to extract such info from him, even if it would take a while for him to travel to Abyss, to begin with.
"The world of Abyss has three different continents separated by the abyssal miasma sea… I inhabited the Arteria Continent… There, three Families of Vampires are the strongest of them all and govern the rest of the races living within such places. I once belonged to the Dracul Family, but I separated myself from those old men because I wanted to walk my own path," sighed the Blood Progenitor.
"Oh, so your surname is Dracul! Then calling you Dracula is really not so bad," laughed Noah.
"I would prefer it if you didn't call me like that! …But anyways, the Dracul Family is the strongest in terms of knights and military force, however, there is the Nosfernus Family that lives deep within the desolate graveyards of the west, such Vampires are said to be so ancient that they resemble zombies, and after learning the power to control the death, they awakened Necromancy, passing it to their descendants, or converted descendants," said the Blood Progenitor.
"Interesting. Is there a way to steal their bloodline powers?" wondered Noah.
"You are not even there and you're already wondering if you can get something from them? You are truly quite the scheming brat… But I cannot deny that I like that! …There are ways to absorb other bloodlines, the use of your Blood Core is one. However, you would need to first kill one of those bastards and extract his blood, and also learn how to assimilate bloodlines, something that not even with your Skill Tree you have unlocked!" said the Blood Progenitor.
"Extract Bloodlines… Did you once do this?" asked Noah.
"Of course I did, I used to extract the bloodlines of Demon Beasts, Demons, and my fellow Vampires, however, to successfully extract bloodlines, specific materials, techniques, and more were needed, and not only one bastard, but many! It was an arduous task, but a lot of my powers were enhanced by the extraction of such powers," said the Blood Progenitor.
"I see… I can't wait to go to Abyss. Of course, after I am done conquering Earth and grabbing every treasure and power within it… The horizon seems to not be limited by this world anymore…" said Noah, as he glanced at Scarlet slowly go back to her manor form and fall silent, although he could clearly feel her phantom aura.
"Amazing… So we have a living manor now? And it looks pretty strong too…" said Arthur.
"Sadly, I don't we'll be using her strength unless we are attacked again, as I don't think we can carry her even inside our Dimensional Storage Rings. And even if we could, I would prefer to keep her here protecting the rest of the guild and your parents," said Noah.
"I see… So Scarlet is like the protector of our territory…" said Arthur, feeling moved by Noah's intentions of protecting his parents.
"Now let's go have breakfast, there is a lot we need to talk and do today," said Noah, leading Arthur and Timassa back to Arthur's parent's manor to go look for Iris, Jon, Adamantine, and Clementina.
In the way, Arthur wondered something.
"I wonder if it would be better to convert my parents into dhampirs…" said Arthur.
"I would say that it wouldn't be a good thing. I few consider their health, they are living fine by themselves, making them Dhampirs might give them strength, but also an insatiable thirst for blood. Now that you are my subordinate and I consider you my friend as well, I would recommend you to not convert them, but if you insist, I might do it," said Noah.
Arthur smiled warmly as he heard Noah saying that he considered him a friend.
He understood that Noah was actually worried about his parents and that he considered that turning them into Dhampirs might negatively affect them.
He did not mind converting Granite and Amber into Wights because he did not have any attachment to them.
And well, he did not have much of an attachment to Arthur's parents, but he spoke with them every day and found them good people.
Unlike many corrupt aristocrats, Arthur's parents were gentle and absolutely loved their son, they also did not act prideful nor annoying to Noah and the rest, and even without any brainwashing or anything, they welcomed them as a family very quickly.
Noah, who had slowly awakened his human emotions once littler by little, decided to treasure bonds, at least of those close to him.
However, for the rest of the world, they could all go die for all he cared.
Or better, be turned into his slaves.
Noah did not become a good person, not at all.
But he simply had begun to treasure those close to him or that strived to help him.
He knew that these humble people liked to live as they were, and he did not want to disrupt their lives.
Noah also knew that Arthur, deep down, did not want this either, but asked because he thought that his parents might need to grow stronger in this world… hiding forever might not be a good thing in the long run.
"However, I do believe that it should be time to explain to them what we truly are… I believe that even after I used my eyes, they might still be having some suspiciousness. And we cannot easily explain to them how the manor just fell apart," said Noah.
"You're right… We have to tell them… I guess it is finally time to reveal to them our abilities… And the path we are walking through," said Arthur.
"As they will become members of the Noctem Family, it is necessary to tell them. I might make some Blood Contracts with them as insurance. Even if they are your parents, they might speak it out and that would not be a good thing at all," said Noah.
"I see, that's completely fine, I understand," said Arthur.
"Very well then, but first, I want to have breakfast with my wife in our new home," said Noah whit a mild smile.
After a few minutes of introducing Scarlet to the rest, Iris, and everyone else entered their former manor, finding out that even their rooms were remade perfectly, and even the things they had were back to their original places!
Scarlet was truly a wondrous being, and Noah noticed that it was slowly developing many abilities regarding the maintenance of the house.
Although Blood Servants did not have a Status as they were bound to Noah's Ability of Blood Servant, they still had Abilities, and Scarlet developed certain Abilities that Noah had never seen, such as "Clothing", "Cooking", "Housework", and "Clothing Decoration".
She was even being taught by the Maids and Butlers how to cook better, and she also sued her tentacles to cook things, which emerged as bloody slimy tentacles out of the walls and ceilings.
She was eve cleaning the dust in every room periodically, and was also washing clothes…
It was all incredibly fast, but it seemed that naming her made her rather talented.
Noah wondered that, perhaps, the souls and minds of some of his classmates who once made the Blood Servants he fused to form Scarlet were good at these things, and such things intensified when they became a literal house.
Although what Noah did could be considered some sort of "Necromancy" it was very hard for him to discern what souls were or what their memories were, and he could simply control and order them to do his bidding as long as they were converted into Blood Servants beforehand.
However, such potential was something he had never considered before, but couldn't he be able to raise Undead with their whole bodies thought?
What if he converts their souls and blood into Blood Servants and then makes such Blood Servants possess the body left behind? Wouldn't that bring the Undead's powers to a greater extent?
Or he could combine Blood Servants together with materials similarly to Scarlet, forming giant golems… or even more insanely, he could fuse them with robots and form new types of Blood Servants too!
Or he could even grant souls to robots through Blood Servants!
However, they were mere theories, but Noah was sure to spend some time today finding out more about such capabilities.
