Chapter 154 - Everyone Practices Magic!
Chapter 154 - Everyone Practices Magic!
-----
A floating sphere of perpetual darkness emerged out of thin air, made entirely out of mana which was shaped into the attribute of darkness.
The spell that Noah created was simply named Dark Bullet, it used mana to emulate darkness, materialize it, and generate a spherical shape.
All of such steps were employed by Noah's intent and imagination, with the help of his Blood Core and also the guidance of the knowledge he acquired from Bloodshot Eye alongside the Blood Progenitor.
Unlike using Skills, Noah felt like he had truly created the floating sphere of darkness.
It was something he had done himself, something shaped by him and his own mana.
It had a strange feeling, a mystical feeling that he never truly experienced with Skills.
Noah slowly moved the Dark Bullet and fired it with a push of his intent and mana towards a wall of Elemental Blood Gems he had created in front of him.
CLASH!
The Dark Bullet hit the wall, exploding, and dissipating with a loud impact.
Noah noticed that a large hole was made by the bullet, but it did not completely manage to break through it.
However, it almost did.
Considering how this Wall was created through the use of a B-Rank Skill and a lot of his Mana, it seemed that the Dark Bullet, a mere Level I Spell was rather strong.
If he were to be able to conjure many at the same time, the entire wall could be shattered into pieces.
So Noah quickly began to conjure more Dark Bullets.
He needed to get used to the feeling of materializing his intent and imagination into his own Mana.
He began to imagine several Dark Bullets over and over again.
Sometimes the magic circles exploded and failed, and other times the Dark Bullets came badly…
But he kept trying throughout the night, as he managed to generate more Dark Bullets.
When the morning came, he finally managed to destroy the wall, but he felt a bit exhausted.
Through the whole night, he was not the only one that worked hard, as everyone around him had managed to conjure their own Spells as well.
Although most of these spells simply looked like inferior versions of their Skills, they were still special, as they were a power outside of the System itself, surpassing what everyone used to fuel themselves with power.
"It seems that everyone worked hard…" said Noah.
"Hahh… I never thought that trying to conjure a little phantom flame without the System help would be so horribly hard!" sighed Iris.
"We somehow managed… though I was only able to make a palm-sized sphere of poison, and it dissipated…" said Arthur.
"I can manipulate a bit of electricity, but without the System, it became quite hard, especially by seeing how wild electricity was… It was like an untamed beast, it was very hard to control it…" said Timassa.
"My Attribute is Curse… but when I tried to curse the Mutated Beast, the spell backfired towards me and I was paralyzed for a few minutes…" sighed Jon.
Everyone was given a small, mutated beast resembling a monstrous rat to practice their magic a bit, especially Jon who could not materialize his magic attribute through a pseudo-physical form, so he needed a target to use it.
"I was able to make a tiny ice spike… and that's it…" said Clementina.
"I did a Shadow thing…" said Adamantine.
"You are probably better than I am. What I managed to do was with a lot of help, all of you did this just by me merely explaining it to you. All the work you did was yours. Let us keep practicing today as well for the time being," said Noah.
"However, before that, wouldn't it be nice to take a break, Master?"
A mass of red slime emerged out of the ceiling, splashing into the ground, and then taking the form of a cute girl with a maid dress, Scarlet.
"Oh… I have forgotten time for a bit. What hour is it?" asked Noah.
"Around 9 AM…" said Scarlet.
"9 AM already… Let us go have breakfast then, Noah," said Iris, standing up and stretching a bit.
"You are right. Let us go eat something and settle down our minds for a bit. If we are well refreshed, we will be able to push ourselves way better," said Noah, walking at the side of Iris as everyone else followed them.
The Vampire Family decided to have a good breakfast while drinking a lot of blood from both monsters and humans to revitalize themselves. The blood of humans was what they had been saved from those they had hunted. Although sometimes Noah's Blood Servants would bring him "offerings" with the freshly killed corpses of F-Rank Hunters.
He had told them to only hunt people at night, preferably Hunters, whose blood was tastier.
Alongside this, the main group of Robots and Blood Servants had come back from their Dungeon diving and brought a lot of magic materials, dropped items, and Cores.
"Good job, have you absorbed more materials? I can see that your designs have become slightly different, you also exude more magic," said Noah.
"Indeed, Master. We have absorbed a few of the high-quality magic materials that we have been harvesting inside the Fire Wyrm's Dungeon, we had been fully upgraded to a greater level of power, and even our Blood Core Batteries seem to have strengthened…" said Noire.
"It was pretty easy now! A few Fire Wyrms are so easy to kill~" said Sakura.
"Good, make sure to also share the materials with the other robots, I want them all in perfect condition and as strong as possible for any emergency. Also, I will raise more blood servants today," said Noah.
Thanks to Noah's Blood Servant Skill, all the Blood Servants that he commanded were part of his own Skill.
Each time he sent them inside Dungeons, it was as if he were using the Skill itself, meaning that their attacks and presences also carried the effects of the Skill.
Through such a thing, even though they could not raise the corpses into Blood Servants like him, the corpses that the Blood Servants damaged and helped to kill would not disappear into black smoke.
This meant that his Blood Servants and the Robots had been bringing him giant corpses of Fire Wyrms, which they had been butchering into Dropped Items before they disappeared after 24 hours.
Now, Noah planned to make many Blood Servants with these corpses brought to him, as he planned to strengthen his Blood Servants through Blood Servant Fusion, the technique he used to create Scarlet.
The Ability Cores accumulated could give him a few Skill Points, but he wanted to accumulate some more to use them and get a few more Spells/Skills from the Warlock Skill Tree.
"Oh, my lord, are you making more of my brethren? Amazing!" said Pride, appearing at the side of Noah.
"Indeed. I might fuse them with you as you requested me. Let us see if you can become General Grade, it would be beneficial to have a strong guardian taking care of my back, or protecting the territory while I am not here," said Noah.
"Oh! Fusing with my brethren would be such a delightful experience!" said Pride, waving his tail.
"However, before that, will we go there?" asked Iris.
"Oh yes, we can't miss the opportunity… We shall go to the underground and finally open the sealed door left by Arthur's grandfather…" said Noah.
"Damn… I wonder if we should tell my parents about that though…" said Arthur.
"After we discover everything, of course," said Noah.
