Chapter 734 Pangu’s Agents
Chapter 734 Pangu’s Agents
Chapter 734 – Pangu's Agents
Nya? (Who is he again?)
"Miao Xiaomao, the one with the soul of Mao Xiaomiao. He's the guy that I sent you to kill."
Nya (I didn't see him.)
"That's impossible. I gave you the coordinate."
Nya! (I really didn't see him. Your intel must be wrong!)
"Then, what did you do so far?"
Nya-Nya! (I crashed the billboard on the target that you told me.)
"And?"
Nya! (That's it!)
"That's it?"
NYA! (Of course. You told me to make it look like an accident. I created an accident. End of story!)
"…"
Pan Xian furrowed his brows. As he had been aiming for Miaomiao's life, he tracked down all souls that had karma with Miaomiao. The soul of Mao Xiaomiao, the former son of Wei Yuan and Miaomiao, was implanted in a mortal by the name of Miao Xiaomao.
At first, Pan Xian ignored Xiaomao as he was the son of his subordinate – Miao Damao. However, as the situations weren't in his favor, it was time to erase their souls and weaken Mao Miaomiao's faction.
Unfortunately, Pan Xian couldn't directly kill Mao Xiaomiao as doing so might offend his superhuman bodyguard and his elite squads. Until the game produced more superhumans to join his faction, Pan Xian couldn't lay his hands on the suspicious superman.
"I'm going to recheck things a bit. By the way, Mei'er. What time is it now?"
Pan Mei looked at the clock, "7.35 PM."
"What time is it in China?"
"Probably 10 AM or so."
"Good."
Pan Xian grabbed his phone and searched for a contact number. Then, he called a certain police station.
Someone picked up the call.
'BJ Station, can I help you?'
"Hello, officer. I'm searching for a certain individual. I think he was one of this morning billboard victims."
.
A few minutes later, Pan Xian ended the call. He frowned again.
"What did he say?" Pan Mei was curious.
"He said Miao Xiaomao was not among the victim list. He was just an eyewitness. The cop said he was helping his injured friends after the accident. It is likely that he was in another bus when the billboard collapsed."
Pan Xian glanced at Nian. The three-eye caracal smirked.
Nya! (See? I told you. Your information was wrong!)
"Fine. My prediction is off. He's still a regular human, and Mu-Nyang is not with him."
Pan Xian tossed the phone to Pan Mei. He sighed and leaned back against the car seat.
"What's next, father?"
"Assassination failed. We'll try it again and again until he dies. We have to kill him before he becomes a protagonist and becomes a rival of Narukami Hiiro."
"Want me to hire some mercenaries?"
"Don't be stupid. Don't use force. Make it an accident. We can't offend Miao Damao yet."
Pan Mei got annoyed by his father's indecisiveness. He was sometimes confused about why Pan Xian kept Miao Damao and Katerina by his side even though they were untrustworthy.
"And why are we keeping Miao Damao's group, dad?"
"We need them to kill off all rogue cultivators from the first game to protect Narukami Hiiro. There are still remnants here, and they will hinder our superhuman farm plan. Only when all nuisance is gone, we can kill them off and replace them with awakened players."
"… I see."
Anyway, I'm going to shut eyes. Report to me the result of the war in the second world. Immediately tell me if either Mao Miaomiao or Kishin Douji is dead."
Pan Xian closed his eyes and took a nap. Nian jumped to his lap and slept on it as well.
.
Second Game World
While schemers schemed, the protagonists protagonized.
When Miaomiao downed 200,000 monsters on his own, the soldiers of the Wu Empire and disciples of the Celestial Sword Sect witnessed it. They sucked in cold air.
Huang Gai, Huang Zu, Huang Zhong, and the generals of the Wu Empire Army gazed at Mao Shan in admiration. They had heard about the prodigy of the Mao Clan, but they had thought that it was just a rumor. Now that they had seen the prowess of the rumored genius, they couldn't help but admire Mao Shan, who brought up this youngster.
The inner disciples of the sect shivered in excitement while some trembled in fear. As Miaomiao was an inner disciple, they would soon cross swords in ranking battles. Many sword practitioners were looking forward to challenging Miaomiao while the rest was afraid of losing their ranks to the young master.
"Is that Mao Miaomiao?" Huang Zhong stroked his long white beard. He smiled at Mao Shan.
"Yes, that is indeed my son," Mao Shan dryly laughed. He didn't know that Miaomiao was this good.
"Hahaha! Don't be nervous, Sect Master Mao. We won't poach him from your sect. We work for the same emperor, so we aren't going to jeopardize our relationship! We're looking forward to seeing his growth!"
Showers of praise kept coming for Mao Shan. The sect master was relieved as the war situation improved, and the political relationship between the sect and the empire was going well.
.
Two hours later, the number of active players decreased, but the invader force suffered heavy casualties. 9th-stage monsters were killed because of the cultivation suppression array, but a few immortal managed to slip through the defense line and reached Pirate Hunter City.
Generals of the Wu Empire Army rushed out to intercept the immortals. Both sides unleashed their ultimate domain skills and laws, and they got mutually destructed.
Wu Empire lost additional three immortals while Kishin Douji lost seven. The battle of attrition was in their favor, but they were still outnumbered.
Fortunately, Wu Empire had battleships. They unleashed the cannons and slaughtered a dozen immortals.
After the death of a dozen immortal monsters, Kishin Douji Army stopped pressing on. They focused on destroying the players instead of trying to forcefully infiltrate the back ranks.
After the pressure was shifted to the players, Wu Army got time to breathe. They kept providing ranged support.
The flow of the battle leaned toward Wu Empire's side. Soon, the monster army faltered as they couldn't break through the new defensive lines and the Seal Arrays.
.
A massive Oni arrived at the battlefield. He was only one kilometer away from the beach and the Seal Arrays' borders.
He gazed at the conditions of his monster army. They had fought two countries at once, and the number had dwindled by half. Moreover, Kishin Douji lost most of his immortal subordinates.
The Oni Immortal pondered.
'Lord Pangu and Lord Nian told me that monsters on my continent can be recreated as long as I have enough dungeon points. But I still need players' corpses to generate that.'
Kishin was tempted to jump into the fray and collect the corpses of his allies and players. However, upon seeing the Seal Arrays, he changed his mind.
'That looks nasty. Ranged attacks can't penetrate that array. Anyone that has stepped into that array becomes as weak as the players, and the players can self-resurrect infinitely.'
The Oni looked around to find another solution. Then, he noticed that the corpses of his monsters and the players began to pile up. Furthermore, the Wu Empire's soldiers didn't try to counterattack. They simply camped in the city and let the players do the job for them.
Noticing how cowardly the Wu Empire fought, Kishin had an idea. He bellowed.
"I propose a ceasefire!"
Kishin Douji ordered his troops to withdraw. Then, he came out to the front.
