Villain Ch 207. I Do Look Like A Psycho
"So? Do you agree?" Vivian asked eagerly, her voice filled with anticipation.
Allen sighed, contemplating the proposition. He knew he lacked experience in the modeling industry, but there was a part of him that was curious to try something new. After a brief moment of consideration, he finally gave in. "Fine. But I can't guarantee my competence," he relented, aware of his limitations.
A surge of excitement coursed through Vivian as she heard his agreement. "It's fine! Think of it as gaining valuable experience. See you this noon then. I'll send you the address," she said, unable to contain her enthusiasm.
Before she could end the call, Allen interjected with another question. "Are you planning to go there by taxi?" he inquired, genuinely curious about her mode of transportation.
Vivian chuckled lightly on the other end of the line. "Yeah, as usual," she replied casually.
"I will pick you up at your apartment then. We can go there together. It'll be less awkward for me," Allen suggested, offering his assistance.
Vivian's face brightened with gratitude. "Oh, that's a good idea. Thanks," she replied, appreciating his thoughtfulness.
Allen paused for a moment, gathering his thoughts before he posed his next question. "Also, one more thing," he began, his tone curious yet direct.
Vivian listened attentively, curious about what he wanted to ask.
"Why did you choose me out of all your friends?" he inquired, getting straight to the point. He couldn't help but wonder why Vivian, with her extensive network of friends who shared the same passion, had singled him out. "I mean, it's not just because of my face or my body, right?" he asked, seeking a more substantial reason behind her decision.
"This…" Vivian's voice trailed off, leaving a short pause that hung in the air. Allen could sense her hesitation, and he held his breath, waiting for her response. He could even hear her breathing on the other end of the line. "I think you'll know in the photo shoot," she finally answered, her voice filled with a mix of anticipation and mystery.
Allen nodded, even though she couldn't see him. He understood that some things were better experienced than explained. "Okay, I'll come to your apartment at 11 o'clock," he confirmed, noting the time in his mind.
"Great! I'll be ready by then," Vivian replied with a touch of excitement in her voice.
He hung up the phone and placed it on the table, his eyes still fixated on the laptop screen in front of him. The video he had paused showcased the epic battle against the Devil Emperor in the last event. His character's face was smeared with blood, a testament to the ferocity of the fight. An evil smile adorned the Devil Emperor's face as he gazed down upon his defeated foes, emanating an air of arrogance and dominance.
Allen couldn't help but let out a chuckle as he looked at the screen. "Well, I do look like a psycho," he mused to himself, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. It was amusing to think that his virtual alter ego had such an intimidating presence. "I should add it to my resume if I ever decide to venture into a more conventional office job," he joked.

In an apartment just a few blocks away from Allen's, Sophia sat hunched over her desk, engrossed in completing the final layer of her digital illustration. Her nimble fingers danced across the tablet, adding the finishing touches to the artwork that had consumed her attention for the past few days. "At last, it's finished!" she exclaimed, a sense of accomplishment evident in her voice.
Sophia leaned back in her chair, admiring the image displayed on her computer screen. It was a breathtaking scene, a vibrant display of colors and shapes that brought her artistic vision to life. The character she had meticulously crafted stood proudly in the center, exuding a sense of strength and mystery. It was a testament to her dedication and talent as an artist.
Just as she was about to prepare the file to send it to the client, a familiar chime interrupted the silence in the room. Sophia's phone lit up, indicating the arrival of a new message. Curiosity piqued, she picked it up and unlocked the screen, revealing the message.
Client: Is the illustration finished?
Sophia: Yes. I'll send it right away, just PM me if you have revisions.
Client: Great! You are always quick like always. Just send it as usual and come to the office at noon later. There's something I want to talk to you about.
Sophia's forehead creased in confusion.
Sophia: May I know what is it?
Client: We have a new project about a bad guy and a good girl couple. We thought of making an illustration for it. The models will also be there. So, if you have ideas for the poses, you can refer them to the photographer.
She couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement as she read the reply.
Sophia: Okay, I'll look for some references and be there on time.
Client: See you there and don't forget to send me the file.
She put down her phone and let out a satisfied sigh. With a beaming smile on her face, Sophia quickly attached the file to an email and sent it off to her client. This was a big moment for her. Not only was it her first project with a reference to a real model, but the concept itself was something she was incredibly passionate about.
As she hit the send button, Sophia's mind began to wander. She couldn't wait to share the news with her friends, especially Elio and the rest of their gaming group. They had been there for each other through quests, battles, victories, and defeats.
Reaching for her phone again, Sophia opened up their group chat and typed a quick message.
"Guys!!! Guess what? I just got a project where I get to incorporate real models into my illustration," Sophia eagerly typed into the group chat, her fingers dancing across the screen.
Little did she know… This project led her to another thing.
