Villain Ch 216. Rubbing Salt Into The Wound [Part 4]
Sophia stood there like a statue, her mind in turmoil, as she contemplated the situation she found herself in. The encounter with Vivian had left her reeling, her heart heavy with regret and a lingering sense of longing. She knew she couldn't simply ignore the truth that had been laid bare before her.
The realization that Vivian was right gnawed at her, burrowing deep into her consciousness.
Memories flooded her thoughts, vivid snapshots of the past when their love was pure and untainted. She recalled their laughter, their shared dreams, and the warmth of their embrace. It was a time when they believed that their love could conquer any obstacle, a time before Sophia's misguided choices tore them apart.
Regret coursed through her veins, mixing with the ache of longing. She yearned for the chance to turn back time, to undo the damage she had inflicted upon their relationship. The desire to return to how they used to be consumed her, fueled by the flickering hope that perhaps, just perhaps, they could find their way back to each other.
Sophia's heart raced with a newfound determination as the words echoed in her mind. "Fight for your happiness!" The command reverberated within her, urging her to take action, to seize the opportunity to reclaim what she had lost. It was a battle cry that ignited a fire within her, shattering the chains of doubt and hesitation.
She knew deep down that she couldn't simply wallow in regret and wish for things to magically revert back to how they used to be. If she wanted to rewrite their story, she had to be bold and resilient.
"No... I have to talk to him," Sophia muttered under her breath, her determination rising to the surface. This was her opportunity, her chance to confront Allen and attempt to make things right. Vivian's presence in the restroom offered a brief window of time where she could have an uninterrupted conversation with him. She couldn't let this moment slip away.
Without a second thought, Sophia propelled herself forward, her legs carrying her swiftly toward the elevator. Her heart pounded in her chest, a mix of anxiety and hope fueling her steps. She had to reach Allen before he left with Vivian.
Unbeknownst to Sophia, Vivian observed her movements with keen interest from behind the restroom door. Her eyes narrowed, a calculating smirk playing on her lips. She had anticipated Sophia's reaction, her desperate attempt to salvage what was left of her connection with Allen. Vivian had strategically positioned herself in the restroom, knowing that Sophia's instinct would drive her to seize this opportunity.
"I see... That didn't make her give up after all..." Vivian muttered to herself, her mind already concocting a new plan. She refused to be outmaneuvered by Sophia, and she was determined to assert her presence in Allen's life.
With a calculated nonchalance, Vivian retrieved her phone from her purse and dialed Allen's number, her steps leading her deeper into the restroom, past rows of sinks and mirrors. She knew the sound of her voice would carry across the line, luring Sophia into the web of her tricks.
After a couple of rings, he answered the phone, his voice filling Vivian's ears. "Hello."
"Hello, Allen," she greeted him, her tone dripping with sweetness. "I just remembered there's a lounge for the guests on the same floor as the lobby. They provide tea and coffee there. The lobby is too crowded, and I thought it would be more comfortable for you to wait for me there. Plus, it'll be easier for us to access the parking lot from there," she continued, her words flowing effortlessly. She had carefully crafted her message to appeal to his desire for convenience and privacy.
The choice seemed simple, and he found himself swayed by the prospect of escaping the chaos of the lobby.
"Sure. That sounds like a better idea," he replied, his voice tinged with a mixture of curiosity and relief. "Where's that?" Allen inquired, his curiosity piqued by Vivian's suggestion.
Vivian chuckled softly, enjoying the anticipation building up within her. "Just turn to the right after you get out of the elevator. It should be quite easy to find. Or if you prefer, you can ask the receptionist for directions," she replied, her voice carrying a hint of mischief.
"Okay. See you there," Allen replied, a sense of excitement evident in his voice. With that, he ended the call.
With a satisfied smile, she placed her phone back into her purse, knowing she had successfully diverted Allen's attention and isolated him from Sophia's reach. She relished the power she held in steering the situation to her advantage. Now, she had the perfect opportunity to deepen her connection with Allen while keeping Sophia at bay.
Glancing at her reflection in the mirror beside her, Vivian smiled to herself. She mustered a determined expression. "Don't worry, Allen. I won't let her bother you again," she muttered under her breath, her eyes filled with a mixture of determination and protectiveness.
With her plan in motion, Vivian knew that they wouldn't meet each other. The lobby was conveniently situated to the left of the elevator, ensuring that Sophia wouldn't cross paths with him. Additionally, there was a stairway near the lounge that led directly to the parking lot, eliminating the need for her and Allen to use the elevator. It was a clever strategy that Vivian had devised, having anticipated Sophia's stubborn nature and her persistence in seeking Allen out.
A mischievous twinkle danced in Vivian's eyes as she contemplated the situation. "Well, have fun playing hide and seek then, Sophia..." she mused silently, relishing in the knowledge that she had effectively outmaneuvered her rival.
Turning away from the mirror, Vivian made her way deeper into the restroom. She located an empty stall and entered it, closing the door behind her.
After she finished, she took her purse again, washed her hand, and took her phone once again. Her hands typed a message to the girls' group chat.
Vivian: Guys, do you want to know what just happened? I just met an unexpected person at my agency.
