?
Villain Ch 338. Shea's Invitation
Summoning their minions was the first step. Each member of the team had a unique and powerful companion at their disposal.
'Savage Reanimation.'
The ground trembled, and an eerie silence fell upon the battlefield. Then, one by one, hundreds of monsters emerged from the shadows, their eyes gleaming with an otherworldly glow.
The monsters moved with an unnatural grace, forming a semi-circle around the fortress. They were creatures of all shapes and sizes - goblins, ogres, werewolves, and even giant beasts like golems. Each one bore the mark of Allen's influence, their allegiance now sworn to him.
Allen's army surged forward, charging at the players with a ferocity that was unmatched. The ground shook with their thunderous footsteps, and the air crackled with magic as they unleashed their attacks.
The skies above the fortress darkened as Allen's demonic wings spread wide, casting a shadow over the battlefield. He gazed down at the players and monsters below, a smirk playing on his lips. He had always been curious about the strength of high-level players, and now was the perfect opportunity to put them to the test.
With a swift motion, he used his powerful area skill. "HellFire Rain." The words resonated through the air, and a torrent of fiery meteors descended from the heavens, hurtling towards the battlefield below.
The flames from Allen's HellFire Rain skill raged on, scorching the battlefield and causing havoc among the players. Some high-level players managed to dodge the fiery onslaught, rolling out of harm's way with agility and precision. However, others were not as fortunate and found themselves caught in the blazing inferno.
But amidst the chaos, the Priest and Priestess sprang into action. They raised their staff and chanted incantations, invoking a powerful Barrier that enveloped their allies. The Barrier glowed with a radiant light, shielding the players from the searing flames and providing much-needed protection.
The Sages, an advanced class of mage, joined in the effort. They used their Protection skill. With a wave of their hands, they created a counter-spell that mitigated the spread of the flames. The ground in front of them remained unscathed, allowing the players to advance without being hindered by the fire.
The players moved forward, bolstered by the support of their healers and mages. They fought back against Allen's monsters, their determination and skill were evident in their every move. Obviously, they were better prepared than the ambush guild Sanctuary this afternoon.
'Well, I have expected them to come this far,' he thought to himself, a small smile playing on his lips.
"I see you've improved a lot," Allen praised, his voice carrying across the battlefield. "So, I will give you a gift... from the start." With a flick of his fingers, he summoned his dark powers, his aura enveloping the surroundings with an eerie glow.
"Summon…" he muttered, his voice barely audible.
The players' attention was drawn to a familiar figure emerging from the shadows. The Mummy King had appeared, but this time, the players were not taken aback or frightened. They knew exactly how to deal with him - after all, he was a type of undead, and they had encountered many undead creatures in their adventures.
The players quickly gathered their forces and formed a strategic plan. The healers prepared their holy spells, ready to unleash the power of light against the undead foe. The mages and wizards channeled their fire magic, knowing that it would be especially effective against the Mummy King's rotting flesh.
But then Allen ordered again. "Mummy King, summon your minions. All of them," he ordered as he folded his arms.
The Mummy King raised his arms high, and from the shadows emerged his minions - the lamias. Fifty of them, graceful and alluring, slithered into the battlefield with ethereal beauty. Their serpentine bodies moved with an enchanting elegance, their eyes gleaming with a mesmerizing allure.
Their captivating beauty seemed to freeze the battlefield for a moment. The male players, in particular, were taken aback by their alluring presence. Their eyes widened, and their jaws dropped in awe as they beheld the sight before them.
Though seasoned adventurers, the male players found themselves momentarily entranced by the lamias' unearthly allure. The battlefield echoed with a hushed silence as they stood mesmerized by the sight of the beautiful creatures.
The female players couldn't help but notice the distraction of their male counterparts. They exchanged glances, rolling their eyes at the sight before them.
Samantha, a skilled hunter, was the first to speak up. "Come on, guys! We don't have time for ogling! Focus on the battle!" she called out, her voice tinged with annoyance.
Linda, a powerful wizard, chimed in, "Seriously, get it together! We need everyone on their A-game if we're going to win this!"
But despite the admonishments from their female comrades, the male players struggled to regain their concentration. They knew they should focus on the fight, but the allure of the lamias was proving to be a formidable distraction.
Alex, a seasoned knight, tried to shake off the distraction and refocus. "I-I'm trying, but they're so... captivating!" he stammered, his cheeks flushed.
Lucas, a rogue, nodded in agreement. "Yeah, it's like they're casting some kind of enchantment on us," he confessed, glancing back at the lamias with a mix of awe and frustration.
The female players let out exasperated sighs, realizing that their male counterparts were truly having a difficult time breaking free from the lamias' charm.
"You know, boys will always be boys," Allen muttered under his breath, shaking his head with a smile. He knew that, despite their focus on the battle, some of the male players might still be struggling to resist the lamias' allure.
Shea approached and chuckled, hovering by Allen's side. "That's the evilest thing I've ever seen," she remarked, glancing at the male players who were still occasionally glancing toward the lamias.
"I give them entertainment, and they should be grateful for it," Allen replied with a hint of pride.
Shea drew even closer and lowered her voice to a seductive whisper, catching Allen off guard. "Well then, how about you also give me some entertainment?" she teased, her words dripping with allure.
Allen raised an eyebrow, intrigued by her invitation. "What do you have in mind?" he asked, trying to match her playful tone.
"I was thinking of having you over for dinner at my place in two days," Shea said, her voice filled with a hint of mystery. "I want to talk to you, one on one, without any distractions," she added. "Well, maybe with Zoe."
He considered her proposition for a moment before nodding in agreement. "Sure, I'll be there," he said, a touch of curiosity in his voice. He wondered what Shea wanted to discuss, as it seemed like a rather impromptu invitation.
"Nice~ See you there then," Shea said happily. Then without further ado, she left.
Allen found himself preoccupied with thoughts of the upcoming dinner. He was curious about Shea's intentions, and a part of him wondered if there was more to this invitation than met the eye.
