Chapter 195: A Hidden Beauty
Min-Ji’s transformation happened right in front of Dal and Nari who stared at the young woman in complete and utter shock. Before Min-Ji always had some hidden beauty behind her nerdy exterior. But now it was no longer capable of being concealed.
Though she was still extremely slender, and flat chested, her face had transformed to the pinnacle of a human being, with a 100% golden ratio just like the rest of the heroines who Alex had maxed out his affection rating with.
Dal and Nari practically spat out the water they had taken a sip from as they immediately latched onto the girl and demanded an answer about just what happened to her, and how.
“Oh, my fucking god! Min-Ji what the fuck?”
“Is this what happened to us? She didn’t even do anything, just one second later she transformed into a peerless beauty! What the hell is going on?”
Alex had yet to think of a rational explanation for why this was the case, and wore an awkward smile, as he simply stated some bullshit that might help these women accept what was happening to them.
“Who knows… Maybe it’s something in the air, because I swear the same thing happened to the both of you and the others. One moment you were your normal selves, and the next you were the most beautiful women in the world…”
This was not a logical or rational explanation whatsoever. And the three women quickly looked at Alex as if he were an absolute idiot. Like the others, Dal had gone straight to the island’s clinic for a thorough explanation as to why she had suddenly transformed into a living goddess. And the clinic was stumped, but assured her that she and the others were perfectly healthy.
Something magical was happening on this island, and Min-Ji now wanted to get to the bottom of it. Of course, Alex would never break the 4th wall and reveal to these girls that they were living in a NTR Manga, one which was ruled by an omnipotent system. I mean who in their right mind would believe such nonsense? Instead, he played dumb, as if he was just as confused as they were.Regardless of how they had transformed, after an hour of brainstorming the girls were completely stumped and realized they simply had no way to prove any of their theories. Thus, they eventually accepted their fate. Nari went back to helping Alex with the cabin, while Dal began cooking dinner. Min-Ji continued to work on her water treatment project, making it larger and more capable.
After Alex’s speech about this being a lifeline in a desperate time, Min-Ji wanted to provide enough clean water as a ready source for the entire island’s inhabitants. Eventually dinner time arrived, and Dal had cooked another delicious treat for the four of them.
Alex enjoyed the meal. There was something about game meat that he just truly loved. And though the women would prefer to have meat that was raised on a farm and appropriately slaughtered, as the gamey flavor was something that all of them other than Nari seemed to find less appealing. Alex didn’t mind, instead he complimented Dal on her cooking skills.
“I’ve got to say Dal, your ability to gather wild herbs, spices, and ingredients is second to none. This is practically a meal cooked in a restaurant.”
It helped that Dal had access to things like woks, frying pans, and a fire burning stove with a grill top that Alex had made out of clay and a metal grilling surface that he stole from the mansion’s cellar. Otherwise, the food would not be nearly as good as it was.
Despite knowing these things herself, Dal accepted the compliment and thanked Alex for his kind words.
“I’m just glad to know that you enjoy my cooking… So what’s the plan for tonight? I mean you two have been so focused on that cabin that you forgot to expand the shelter, and not for nothing, but it looks like it’s going to start raining soon…”
Alex looked off into the distance and saw storm clouds growing. A tropical storm was no joke, and thus he instantly realized that the A-frame shelter needed to expand. Thus, he sighed and as he got up from his seat, not even finishing his dinner, while requesting Nari’s support and that of the other girls in fixing up a larger shelter.
“It appears we have no choice… I can’t believe we forgot about that. If we want to make a proper shelter in time, you all need to help me build it. The four of us working together can accomplish a great deal. Nari, you walk the girls through the process….”
Nari took one last bite from her meal while wiping her face. She then began to do as Alex instructed. The four of them pulled out their tools and began cutting down branches from the nearby trees. Which they used as the basic structure of the shelter. Expanding on the existing design.
The basic A-frame shelter was quickly transitioned to a Dugout design. With the shelter being dug deep and wide enough to accommodate the four of them. Once the hole was dug, walls were made out of interwoven bamboo strands that were stuffed with plant fiber insulation and sealed off with clay. The flooring was made out of wood planks that were previously cut and sawed by Alex and Nari for use in the nearby cabin.
Once the floor and walls were properly insulated, and sealed off from the natural environments, Alex and Nari began working on the roof, which started with a basic a-frame structure that was made from logs cut for the cabin.
The roof was then insulated with the same plant fiber that they used for the wall and flooring before finally being lain over with a tarp. A hole was cut in the canvas tarp, which allowed for a chimney to be constructed. One that Alex and Nari made out of fireclay bricks that had already been made for the cabin, along with a fresh batch of roman concrete.
After the chimney was made, the tarp was covered with natural foliage to help soak up the rain, such as leaves and moss. The final touch was adding the wooden door that had previously been prepared for the Cabin.
Thus completing the shelter in its most basic form. However, once the shelter was in place, Alex and the girls barely had enough time to build the clay fireplace that connected to the chimney, which would allow them to stay warm beneath the dirt.
And finally, after all that was done, the storm reached the island. Yet, their hard work had completely paid off. A much finer shelter was in a place that could accommodate the four of them, and there was even a built-in cot that allowed them to lay down enough bedding for the four of them to sleep in comfort.
The stove acted both as a heating device and a cooking surface, giving Alex and his girls the comforts within the safety of their own walls that had previously existed outside their shelter. Alex and the girls sat inside the shelter, without the slightest bit of moisture getting inside, while laughing at the gods for trying to spoil their fun.
Dal, in particular, was impressed with the dugout shelter, that the four of them had managed to complete well into the night. She could barely believe they had such a busy day. But she enjoyed the entire process, and learn a lot along the way. The young redheaded beauty could help but hold on to Alex’s arm and hug him tightly while thanking him for the experience.
“I never thought in my life I would have such an amazing experience. When you first said we were going to a tropical island, I thought that you meant we would just be sitting on a beach, drinking booze, and playing volleyball for the entire summer. But this has truly been an enjoyable experience, one that I will never forget!”
Alex smirked when he heard this, and kissed the girl, which made both Nari and Min-Ji out in jealousy, as they too attacked Alex. The three young women forced Alex onto the bed as they got undressed. Having barely enough time to wash the dirt and grime off their bodies before the tropical storm hit. Alone in the jungles of this tropical island, Alex and his girls made love together in a night that they would never forget.
It was not until late into the night that Alex and the others finally got some much needed sleep, and when they awoke the next day, they would be surprised to find that the rain had not let up in the slightest. It would appear that making the trek back to the Mansion and bringing another girl on this journey would have to wait until the storm finally broke.
