Chapter 54 54. Demonic Transformation
Chapter 54 54. Demonic Transformation
After what felt like an eternity, Lucas finally stopped screaming.
He was laying on the floor above a pool of sweat and blood. He had either passed out from pain by now or the pain had just stopped, it was hard to tell since he wasn’t moving at all.
Then there was also the possibility of him dying from being unable to bear the pain. However, since none of the clones were rushing up to resurrect him this scenario seemed unlikely.

In the next moment, the door to the basement clicked open and Sam walked in leisurely.
“Sir, it’s been done!” One of the clones standing sharp right to the entrance reported with a loud shout.
With an amused expression and an arched eyebrow, Sam couldn’t help but voice his astonishment; “I see, he’s a tough one isn’t he?”
Without needing to utter another word Sam just simply looked at one of his clones and gestured for him to sit Lucas back up.
The clone standing close to Lucas’ unwavering body walked up to him and picked him up from the ground before dragging him to one of the chairs and placing him on it.
After the deed was done, Sam slowly neared Lucas and began inspecting him.
It was his first time creating a Demon too. At least the first time creating a ‘human’ Demon.
After he inherited his powers from his father, Sam was asked to mutate a bunch of wild animals under his father’s supervision..
He was made to mutate them and then kill them without leaving any proof behind.
Mutating an intelligent sentient creature like a human was tough on Sam too. Mutating here means altering one’s biology down to the very core and bringing out the creature’s peak potential.
By mutating a creature and turning them into a Demon that Sam can control at will, he can grant that creature a plethora of new abilities.
A human at most can only have two abilities max at their disposal. A Demon on the other hand can have as many as Sam wants it to have.
So along with a superhuman physique, a Demon can also possess a myriad of abilities. However, mutating a human being is tough for two reasons.
One, humans, without their abilities, aren’t biologically as strong as beasts so full-on mutation is an unsurvivable scenario for most humans.
Two, the amount of strength and time required to fully mutate a human is too big for its worth.
It took 3 hours for Sam to mutate Lucas and he was already half drained. So creating a legion of such Demons would be tiring.
Although, Sam currently had a limiter placed on him. His powers were currently restrained. If he were to use his powers without any restraints placed on him then the time and strength required would’ve been cut down to half.
Still not worth the effort but it would’ve been more feasible. Why didn’t he remove his restraints then? Because he had his reasons.
Anyway, since Sam hadn’t seen a ‘human’ Demon himself he was quite curious to inspect one.
Lucas’ body had changed drastically. The most noticeable change was that he had a violet crystal-like horn protruding out from his forehead and curling all the way around his head to his temple like a crown.
The horn not only acted as a forehead protector but it was also a symbol that Lucas was now not a human.
His former light red hair had now been turned to white and his skin tone was on a darker shade of black.
His previously skinny body had now gained muscles and was quite ripped in comparison to his former weak self.
Gently lifting Lucas’ hand like he was a doll, Sam noticed that he had long retractable nails that made his hand more of a claw than a hand.
Just by lifting his hand, Sam could tell that Lucas’ body was extremely durable. But just to make sure, Sam picked up a scalpel that was lying on a table near him and placed the blade against Lucas’ hand.
-Tak!
However, before he could make an effort to run down the blade against Lucas’ hand and cut it, the blade broke.
“Huh…” wide-eyed, Sam slightly smirked while looking at the broken blade in his hand.
It wasn’t because the blade was made of a cheap material that it broke, in fact, the scalpel that Sam had in his hand was made from a scale of Scaled-Bull beast which should be quite strong.
The reason that the blade broke was simple. Lucas unconsciously activated his ability.
That should’ve been impossible for him to do previously.
Why? Because to use his ability [Vector Control] Lucas needs to do some calculations. He needs to calculate the vectors to be able to manipulate them.
And you can’t do maths when you’re unconscious.
So the reason he was able to do it now was that Sam had given him a second brain. A brain that will do all the necessary calculations needed for Lucas to use his ability.
The brain will also be active and on alert 24/7. Meaning no one can catch Lucas off guard now even when he is unconscious.
By doing so, Sam also removed one of the biggest obstacles Lucas had to face every time he had to use his ability.
After he was done inspecting his hand, Sam opened Lucas’ eyes and saw a Nictitating Membrane or a Third Eyelid covering his eyes.
Through the translucent third eyelid, Sam could still see his eyes though. Lucas now had a red iris and a violet pupil.
From the looks of it, he really wasn’t looking anything like a human.
Satisfied with his creation, Sam took a few steps back and waited for him to wake up. Sam still had to teach Lucas how to turn back to his human form.
Yes, Demons have two form. Demonic Transformation and Base Form.
Lucas’ Demonic Transformation was everything Sam was expecting it to be. With this, he created his first Demon General. Sam had now taken the first step toward his goal.

In an almost dark room with dimly lit lights, a figure was sitting on a sofa with his legs crossed.
Although his face could not be seen, just from his sitting posture one could tell that the aforementioned person was used to being in power.
In front of him was placed a comm device. He was on line talking to someone.
-“Are you sure that you don’t know anything about this matter?”
The voice from the other side of the comm device asked.
“Tsk!” the figure sitting in the dark just clicked his tongue in reply. “Are you stupid? You are claiming that the Progenitor has returned?”
-“Yes, Starsuper himself confirmed this. So, on behalf of all the Hero Association I, Lightbringer, ask you this; do you know anything about this matter?”
“No, you old moron!” The figure sitting in the dark snapped at Lightbringer through the comm device. “First, I don’t believe he has returned! Second, why would I even do such a thing! Strong as I may be, even I can’t handle the Progenitor!”
-“That’s true. And that’s why Starsuper advises you to stay away from this matter.”
“Tsk,” clicking his tongue in frustration again, the figure in the dark spoke up. “Where is Starsuper? Why isn’t he asking me all this?”
-“Do you think Starsuper has time to spare on an underworld mafia lord like you?” Lightbringer scoffed from the comm device.
“Remember the time I almost killed you? If White Walker hadn’t stopped me on that day, your wife would’ve become a widow.” Smirking, the figure in the dark replied. “Now White Walker is dead and Starsuper is investigating this bullshit case. Who will stop me from killing you?”
A dead silence descended as soon as the figure sitting in the dark reminded Lightbringer of a certain past incident.
After a short pause, Lightbringer finally decided to reply. “I don’t care what you think or do, just remember that we will annihilate you along with your city if you even think about harming our society in any way.”
-Beep!
Without waiting for a reply, Lightbringer cut off the line and the comm device turned off with a beep sound.
“Haha! Damn, you are funny Lightbringer! To think that you will threaten me!”
The figure sitting in the dark slowly leaned forward and came into light. His face was finally revealed.
The person had a handsome chiseled face and silver shoulder-length hair. He had blue eyes that resembled the vastness of the sky and thin eyebrows with long eyelashes.
A knife scar was running down his right eye giving him a fierce look. The man, although just looked in his mid-30s but was clearly much older, had all signs of aging stopped.
The man was none other than the ‘Lord of the Undercity’, Marcel Nickelson.
He had a wide grin plastered on his face. He was smiling much like how Sam smiles when he enjoys something.
Marcel was indeed enjoying the current situation. It is, as they say, some people just want to watch the world burn. Marcel was one of those people. He was just waiting for the world to descend into chaos.
With his lips still curled into a grin, Marcel stood up from the sofa he was sitting on. “Time to finally meet my son.”
