Chapter 142 - Which Of The Two Is Henpecked

Chapter 142 - Which Of The Two Is Henpecked

Once he was done washing them he brought his partially wet hands before Ji Yao as though waiting for something. JI Yao who was packing away the handkerchief suddenly had a pair of hands in front of him asking to wipe them. Don't look at this absurdity and think he was joking. He really was asking Ji Yao to wipe his hands for him and that is exactly what Ji Yao did.

All the uncle had to say was, "Not sure who henpecked who here." Unfortunately, Huishe had no time to find out who is more henpecked because something phenomenal happened. Something that could be described as out of this world. These three could be considered powerful in their circle especially Rui Fei but all of them failed to realise something was stalking them in the dark.

Ten minutes ago while the pair were playing house cutting a carcass like a wedding cake, the master of this place was throwing a fit losing his mind. He was so livid that he threw his throne out of the window in a frenzied rampage.

This kid was partly human so how could he not have suffered a single scratch while fighting his beasts. It wasn't possible.. What he failed to realise was the percentage human inside Ji Yao and the powerful effect of the combination between a Qilin and Raiju.

In Niuq a child from parents of different clans could only have one seraphic energy in their aether. It was either or not both or neither. So he didn't know that this child was a mutation on his own.

He also underestimated that half-breed following Ji Yao like a lovestruck puppy. He never thought he would see the day a Huishe and Qilin would be on such friendly terms that they would follow each other around. What was even more puzzling was why Huishe Yue would be willing to follow someone from the Qilin clan. It seemed his time in that hell hole had screwed with his brain.

Done throwing a fit he pushed back his hair sticking to his forehead and started to laugh maniacally with his back leaning against the wall. He slid his body down to the floor and sat as though defeated with his legs sprawled apart on the ground. Having laughed himself till his abs ached his eyes riveted on the curtain at the other side of the room.

With a throaty chuckle, he said, "You were meant to be uncle's parting gift but now you have to debut early and destroy my enemies for me. Let's see how they can survive from this."

By uncle, he was referring to 'he whose name should but be mentioned'. By right of birth, Qilin Hao should have been the next clan leader of the Qilin clan but everything was hidden from her for reasons unknown and she was treated terribly by her father.

The next best candidate was himself and at first, he was very happy thinking it would be a great honour to lead his clan but who would have thought he would suffer so much under his uncle's hand. The man treated his offspring terribly what more someone of different blood?

She was banished by the leader and once she was gone all that negative energy directed at her was now directed at him. His hate for her grew because this position was never his in the very beginning.

The one who should have been suffering should have been her not him. Even the task to find the keystones and open this portal was his but he failed resulting in him being beaten half to death while his parents watched on with disappointment in their eyes.

That disapproving look he would never forget. It haunted him from the moment he woke up after being beaten till this day. He knew Qilin Hao still wanted to be part of that black-hearted clan that she would do anything. But what he didn't expect was that she would go as far as sending her offspring to do her dirty work.

He had been waiting for fifty years for her to come looking for him hence this elaborate fortress where he made the rules but years turned to decades and she didn't show her face. Since that's how things were then he would send his secret weapon to deal with her son.

With that in mind, he sent forth the ultimate fiend he had modified using the keystone in his possession. That same faceless fiend with the power to mask its presence was what the three saw in the desert.

When they say faceless they mean it in a literal sense. This creature wasn't new to them. From legends both on Niuq and on earth this creature was spoken of.

According to the history of the Nocru clans long before the conflict between the Huishe and Qilin clans, there was a clan known as the Hundun clan.

It was a clan that brought about senseless chaos making them difficult to keep in line. Soon their rational minds that separated them from beasts was eroded due to their endless chaos till they became more feral than Nocru.

The clans joined hands to eliminate this scourge bringing them to extinction. They were described as a huge, ferocious creature shaped like a dog with no sense of right and wrong.

It had bear like palms with no claws, no eyes, nostrils, mouth and ears hence no face. Its two-meter red-coloured wings were the only feature that could be described as majestic. To humans, it was known as a winged demon with six legs and no face. A terrifying creature that could appear in one's nightmares.

Now, this ugly looking thing with a terrifying presence appeared in front of them. As to how this one survived the massacre of the Hundun clan who knows. From the look of this, it wasn't looking good. It sent a shock blast causing a massive earthquake. The trio was sent flying in different directions from the sudden attack.

Ji Yao managed to regain his footing so did Huishe Yue but Rui Fei landed straight into a cactus. One can only imagine his horrible luck in this conflict. We sincerely hope he survives this fight as it started off on a terrible note.

One thing Huishe Yue had to say was, "Karmmmmmmaaaaaaaa," with a beaming smile.
