Chapter 1410: Godslayer Slash

Chapter 1410: Godslayer Slash

Pop pop pop…

If there was one thing everyone in Heavenblessed loved, it would be the luster of equipment. From my point of view, the shiny items were like beautiful blooming flowers in spring.

The Ancient Divine Dragon had an incredible turn rate, so I was able to make a sharp turn and fly straight toward the loot. A dozen or so Spear-throwing Flyers were attacking me, but I ignored them all and focused on grabbing the loot. I was able to grab nearly everything the boss dropped and definitely all of the equipment, giving no one any chance to steal our loot. I couldn’t say with 100% certainty that there wasn't any assassin waiting on the ground to steal something, but assassins couldn’t fly. If none of the loot ever reached the ground, how could they steal anything?

"Let’s kill these Spear-throwing Flyers first!"

I brought the Ancient Divine Dragon to a sudden stop before firing Burning Blade Slash into a group of mobs. While doing so, I shouted, "Chaos Moon, we’re about to run out of metal armor players! Muster another 10,000 Dragonlight Cavalrymen to form a defense line outside the walls now! The Holy Mages and Dragonlight Archers need to replenish their numbers as well. Also, don’t hesitate to help out Warsky Alliance if you think it’s necessary. The boss is about to single-handedly wipe out their entire guild…"

After Chaos Moon responded with an affirmative, thousands of Dragonlight Cavalrymen leaped down from the walls to form an emergency defense line.

It wasn’t until we got the situation stabilized with superior firepower did I land on the rampart to check out what the boss had dropped for us. He Yi, Lin Yixin, Gui Guzi, Li Chengfeng and more gathered around to check out the loot as well.

I shared my bag view with everyone so that they knew that I hadn’t stolen anything. It was pretty much impossible to stash anything you had looted just 5 minutes ago without a nearby warehouse anyway. I took out all of the equipment Lin Lie had dropped and held it in my arms. There was an azure-colored shield surrounded by bits of starry light. Its design was sleek and elegant, but not so flamboyant that it looked more ornamental than actually useful. Next, there was a ring surrounded by a dense cloud of ice mist. Its design was both unique and stylish. Finally, Lin Lie also dropped a fiery warblade and an eerie-looking scepter with a skeletal head.

As usual, I brought up the equipment’s stats screen one by one. I started with the azure-colored shield first and tapped a knuckle on it. Its stats screen immediately appeared above the equipment as a hologram. At first glance, the shield seemed almost perfect—

Shield of Cave Ice (Hadean Divine Armament, Outstanding???????)

……

"Gulp…"

I swallowed audibly and gave the Shield of Cave Ice a caress. "Any comments, people?"

Gui Guzi and Li Chengfeng swallowed as well. Gui Guzi was the first to speak up, "This shield is absolutely amazing… I’ve never seen a Divine Armament shield before. This is probably the best shield to date, right? Hadean Divine Armament, so OP!!"

Chaos Moon went next, "This Outstanding Property is especially good. The difference between doubling one’s base Defense and 100% Defense boost is like night and day."

Lin Yixin echoed in agreement. "I know right? It’s too bad I’m a dual weapon wielder and can’t equip a shield, or I’d be rolling for it for sure…"

He Yi said with a smile, "Looking at the DPS ranking, the three players who meet the rRequirements to wield the shield are me, Gui Guzi and Lu Chen. Let’s get rolling."

Gui Guzi said hesitatingly, "But I don’t think I have enough contribution points…"

I steeled my resolve and said, "It’s fine, I’ll lend you some…"

Chaos Moon complained, "Since when can we ‘lend’ contribution points? You guys are so shameless…"

I really wanted Gui Guzi or He Yi to get the shield though. To say that it would increase one’s tankability to a whole new level would be an understatement!

So I said, "Divine Armaments are split into four levels, and they are Cambrian, Hadean, Archean and Ancient. Cambrian is the weakest, and Ancient is the strongest. This shield is an Hadean Divine Armament and quite possibly the best shield to date. My Cyan Dragon Shield is still serviceable, so I won’t be rolling for this. You guys ready, Little Gui, Eve? Now get rolling, and no cheating…" [1]Lin Yixin checked the equipment ranking before shooting the Cyan Dragon Shield symbol on my arm. "Actually, the Cyan Dragon Shield is still the No.1 shield on the list. Its points are just a bit higher than the Shield of Cave Ice…"

I shrugged. "The stats of a Sacred Armament can differ wildly between all four levels of Divine Armaments. Good Sacred Armaments can be as good as Ancient Divine Armaments, and bad Sacred Armaments can be as poor as Cambrian Divine Armaments. You already know this…"

……

While we were talking, Gui Guzi and He Yi finally rolled the dice. Both of them looked incredibly nervous: Gui Guzi’s dice hand was shaking, and He Yi’s face was as taut as a string. After glancing back and forth between my shield and her dice, Eve finally tossed rolled dice first!

32!

It wasn’t the best score one could roll, that’s for sure. "Eve rolled a 32. Go get 'em, Little Gui!"

Gui Guzi rolled his dice, and it was… a 23!

There was a moment of dumbfounded silence. Then, Li Chengfeng gave Gui Guzi a consoling pat on the shoulder and said, "It’s fine. It’s not like your current shield is bad, not to mention your Undying Shield is practically a cheat skill. You don’t need this shield right now…"

Gui Guzi smiled. "Thanks, but I’m fine. This simply means that Boss Eve won’t roll against me when a better shield appears in the future, hahaha…"

I tossed the shield into He Yi’s hands and said, "Your shield, Eve. Remember to treat us to a meal later, yeah?"

He Yi equipped her new shield immediately and beamed. "Mn!"

……

Now that He Yi had gotten the Shield of Cave Ice, her Defense became higher than ever before. Her Rock Shield and Stormwind Shield were already stackable, but now she could double her total Defense with Cave Ice Defense as well. Even I wasn’t sure if I could penetrate her Defense anymore, let alone anyone else. Also, this was the point when it became clear that He Yi and Gui Guzi’s builds had diverged even though they were both magic knights. He Yi’s build was focused on crazy-high Defense, while Gui Guzi relied on ridiculous HP and recovery. Either way, they were nigh unkillable by normal players.

Next, I picked up the ring with a cloud of ice mist surrounding it and brought up its stats screen. It was not as impressive as the Shield of Cave Ice, but it was by no means a lousy ring—

Flowing Ice Ring (Ancient Immortal-grade, Outstanding??????)

Strength: +2240

Stamina: +2400

Agility: +2350

Intelligence: +2300

Tactics: +130

Effect: Flowing Ice. When attacking a target, 10% chance to activate Flowing Ice and encase the target’s feet in ice, slowing them by 50% for 3 seconds. Moreover, every time Flowing Ice activates, the user’s ice resistance is increased by 1%. The effect stacks until the user logs out of the game.[2]

Passive: Increases user’s Attack by 115%

Passive: Increases user's max HP by 40,000

Level Requirement: 230

Luck Requirement: 10

……

I let out a cough before starting, "This is a very powerful Ancient Immortal-grade ring. I won’t go over all of its effects, but this plus 115% Attack alone is very good. The Attack stat really applies to both physical and magical attack power, so the ring is usable by all classes. Therefore, we will have the Top 10 players with the highest DPS against this boss roll for this equipment. Is that okay?"

Everyone nodded and got to rolling.

I decided to forfeit again because I already had two rings. One of them was the Ghost Armament Song of Freedom, and the other was the Apparition Ring. The Apparition Ring was easily the lowest-grade equipment on my entire person, but its ability to summon a clone of myself was top-class be it for grinding or PvP. Ultimately, I believed that it was more valuable than the Flowing Ice Ring[3].

A quick roll later, Beiming Xue became the winner with a perfect 100-point score. A mandatory round of groans erupted before we moved onto the next item…

……

The third piece of equipment, the crimson blade, wasn’t a long-handle weapon. It was shaped like an ancient podao and somewhat fell under the category of weapons you normally see in a sword and magic fantasy world. It could be used for slashing or stabbing, and it was a wanderer-specific weapon. However, Lin Yixin preferred swords over blades, and the Purple Spirit Sword was still a pretty good weapon. I had a feeling that she wouldn’t try to roll for this one. I waved my hand across the equipment and brought up its stat screen. It was about as exciting as you might expect—

Godslayer Slash[4](Ancient Immortal-grade, Outstanding????????)

Attack: 11,000~14,900

Strength: +2450

Stamina: +2400

Agility: +2350

Intelligence: +2300

Tactics: +150

Passive: Increases user’s Attack by 185%

Passive: Increases user’s splash effect by 30%

Passive: When swinging the Godslayer Slash, 7% chance to deal triple damage. Stackable with critical hits.

Slots: 18

Outstanding Property: Godslayer. Increases user's Attack by 40%, and when attacking a target, 10% chance to deal 50% more damage and prevent the target from being healed or going into stealth for 60 seconds.

Effect: Lifesteal. 7% of the damage dealt is converted into HP.

Level Requirement: 230

Reputation Requirement: 1,200,000

……

"Hot damn…"

I grinned as I held the blade. "If this was a gift from an actual person, I would probably turn this down. This Ancient Immortal Rank boss is just too good to us!"

I then raised the flaming blade above my head and said, "The Godslayer Slash has super high Attack and an imba effect that prevents its target from healing or going into stealth for 60 seconds! It is a must-have Divine Armament when you’re traveling the world and murdering the shit out of your enemies! All cavalrymen are allowed to roll for this equipment at the cost of 250k guild contribution points. May the luckiest person win!"

Everyone’s eyes widened in delight. Melee players were aplenty in this game, and weapon shortage—good ones anyway—had been a thing since time immemorial. An Ancient Immortal Rank weapon? It was practically priceless. The Godslayer Slash instantly became the center of everyone’s attention.

As expected, Lin Yixin didn’t participate in the dice rolling and just stood quietly beside me. He Yi, Gui Guzi and Li Chengfeng also forfeited their right to roll and left it to Heaven’s Rain, Diamond Dust, Tiger Leopard Knight, Du Thirteen and more to compete for it. In the end, our guild’s number one wanderer, Eighteen Steeds of You and Yun, won the item with an amazing score of 97 points. The guy was so happy that he literally ran back and forth along the rampart eighteen times while shouting, "I finally have an Ancient Immortal-grade item! I’m finally not your generic loser anymore!"

……

The last piece of loot was still a weapon. My Luck was so high that I kept dropping equipment that was normally pretty difficult to drop. Take this as an example, all four of Lin Lie’s equipment drops—shield, ring and two weapons—were considerably harder to drop compared to other equipment slots. Anyway, back to the present. The last weapon was a skeletal head scepter, and it was yet another Ancient Immortal-grade scepter. Truly, my karma was booming today!

1. T/N: I had suspected this for some time, but it looks like we did get the order wrong after all—unless Nab fixed it? Sigh.

E/N: Clearly he means to say author or he got it wrong! :O ?

2. E/N: Okay, this is BEYOND bullshit. Lu Chen has the same effect, but he needs to DIE to trigger it. He wouldn’t die 10 times to get 100% Attack boost. But this? Just spend some time triggering it and you are completely immune to ice, wtf? Average of 10 attacks, that should be around 12 seconds with combo limits and basic attacks in between, that’s 5% a minute. 20 minutes and you are completely immune to ice magic. Get a few friends to trigger it with AoEs and within minutes someone becomes immune to ice… ?

3. E/N: After deciding not to get Heaven Suppressing Necklace and this, NEVER call yourself a gamer in front of me ?

4. T/N: why is it called slash instead of blade? Fuck if I know. The good news is that it’s distinctively different from Godslaying Blade ?
