Chapter 1467: Purple Cloud Armor

Chapter 1467: Purple Cloud Armor

Chapter 1467: Purple Cloud Armor

I hesitated for a moment as I watched Uldan’s serious eyes. "I may have to face off Lin Na himself, and he has devoured both the Great Saint and Mingyu’s powers. Are you sure you want to come with me? You just escaped imprisonment. Aren’t you afraid that you’ll fall under his control once more?"

Uldan chuckled. "Don’t worry. I told you I’m going to accompany you to the seventh floor of the Purgatory, and I never change my mind once I’ve resolved myself to something. If I die, then at least I won’t have to suffer the torment and humiliation to my soul any longer."

"Yeah."

I rose to my feet and went to pick up the loot next to the dead Sovereign Rank boss, Boley. It felt a bit lonely that there was no one to roll the loot with me, so I simply read the stats in silence—

Thunder Dragon Wristguards: Immortal-grade cloth armor, average stats, adds 45% Magic Attack. To be sold.

Void Spirit Scepter: Average Immortal-grade weapon, Attack slightly above average. To be sold as well.

Voice Spirit Ring: Ancient Immortal-grade accessory that adds 110% Magic Attack. It still wasn’t a keeper, but it was the best of all the to-be-sold items. It could probably fetch me a couple thousand gold at least.

The last piece of equipment was a dark purple-colored, leather corset armor. It looked like it was equippable by female players only, and it transmitted a cool sensation when held. The corset armor’s design was very simple. The back was made up of layers upon layers of metal that were shaped like dragon blades, but the front was perfectly smooth and shaped to wrap around a woman’s bust nicely. At first glance, the wearer would have to be 34C at least to fit the armor, or they might have to go to a blacksmith and reduce the bust size. I waved my hand across the chest armor to bring up its stats screen, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was actually one of the Seventy-two Ghost Armaments—

……

I clenched my fists and broke into a wide grin. "This leather armor is amazing!"

The Purple Cloud Armor might be a leather armor, but its Defense wasn’t too far behind my Guardian Dragon Armor. More importantly, its Ghost Armament effect was absolutely insane. It doubled the user’s total Defense, which was far better than just a 100% Defense increase. To give an example, the Agility-based player with this item would almost be able to enter my weight class—assuming they also had a bunch of Sacred Armaments, Ghost Armaments, Divine Armaments and more, of course.

I moved onto the non-equipment loot. There was a mage skill book called Fire Spread that increased the duration of Sea of Flames by 50%. I could give it to Lian Xin, Moonlight Stone or Yu Tong later. The boss also dropped 4 Divine Crystals, but only one of them was of the perfect 100 Quality. It was still an incredible income, of course. In fact, I had collected five Perfect Divine Crystals in just a day. Hopefully, I would be able to collect enough Perfect Divine Crystals to help He Yi or Lin Yixin attempt an ascension. As for Li Chengfeng, Gui Guzi, High Fighting Spirits and the rest of the bros, of course I wasn’t going to help them. They were men, and what kind of men relied on other men to create their future? Plus, each of them had 3 to 5 subguilds under their command. You might even call them monarchs of a vassal state. It wasn’t too difficult for them to gather the Divine Crystals they needed.

I rose to my feet and looked at Uldan. Her thin, gray robe was nothing but tattered, scorched rags at this point, so I could see her fair skin, firm breasts—they were almost the same shape as Beiming Xue’s actually—and even two dots beneath the cloth. It was quite distracting to say the least.

Whoosh!

I grabbed a cloak that converted 12% of the damage received into HP and covered her body with it. Then, I said, "I can share my equipment with you, Uldan. What weapon do you normally use? At any rate, you shouldn’t enter the third floor of the Purgatory unarmed…"

Uldan chuckled and pushed my hand away slowly. She said, "It’s fine, I have my own equipment. I wasn’t able to bring it out when my powers were sealed, but now that is no longer a problem…"

She opened a palm and opened a small, black hole. It was a crack that led to a different space; her private storage space to be exact.

She rummaged around for a bit before pulling out a dark green chest armor, a cloak, a pair of legguards and a pair of boots. She now looked like a leather-armor class expert. Another thoughtful hum later, she finally pulled out a long, starry bow as her weapon. It looked like quite an amazing weapon too. As expected of a Basic Divine Rank boss, nothing she brought out of her storage space looked subpar.

Swhoosh!

Uldan looked like a completely different person after she was done changing her equipment. If she looked like she had half a foot in death’s door before, now she looked like a cute and spirited archer.

"So? How do I look? Am I worthy to be your companion now?" Uldan asked smilingly.

I shook my head in a hurry. "Oh no, I’m the one who has to be on my toes to keep up with you…"

"You’re too humble~~"

I really wasn’t though. I might be able to solo a Sovereign Rank boss now, but a true Divine Rank boss such as Thunder or Coldblade were still out of my reach. Even a Basic Divine Rank boss like Uldan was at worst my equal, or at best my superior. This was good news though. My chances of saving Xinran had just become much higher!

……

"Alright, time to go to the third floor!"

I turned around and leaped into the teleportation barrier without hesitation. Before I could even open my eyes though, a terrible heat immediately washed over my entire body. What the fuck? Where am I, and why is it so hot?

I opened my eyes and looked at my new environment. What the fuck? Since when was the Reincarnation Realm a flaming hell?

Wherever I looked, the ground was scorched and bright red with heat. It was as red as the bricks of a kiln. I couldn’t help a shiver despite the temperature. I had no intention of becoming the omelet of this frying pan.

Behind me, Uldan gave me a soft push and asked, "What are you waiting for? Let’s move."

I frowned. "Where to? There are flames everywhere. Where is the entrance to the fourth floor?"

The map screen showed the names of various smaller maps on the floor, but the exit was nowhere to be seen. I opened the map screen to check, but no exit was marked. It looked like I would have to find it myself. The good news was that Uldan was here to be my guide. She used to be a Sovereign, so she should know where it was.

Uldan pointed to the east and said, "There is a death well at the easternmost part of the third floor. It is the only passage to the fourth floor. However, I heard that Lin Na has posted an extremely powerful devilish beast to guard it, so we cannot be too careless."

I nodded. "Mn. Let’s fly over there now!"

"Wait…"

Suddenly, Uldan caught my arm and said with a troubled expression, "My Stamina is sitting at around 20% right now. I may run out of energy mid-fight if the battle proves to be more intense than expected. How about we rest for the night before heading to the death well tomorrow?"

"That’s fine too."

I checked the time and noted it was past 8 pm already in the real world. I hadn’t logged out of the game for an entire day either. I definitely needed to log out and take a break myself.

We found a tall hill and landed there. After I put down a tent, Uldan lay next to it and promised, "I’ll wait for you."

"Okay!"

……

After I logged out of the game, I removed my helmet and sucked in a deep breath. Although I hadn’t found Xinran, my knowledge of the Purgatory had grown a little. Also, the fact that there was no news was probably good news. That was what I kept telling myself anyway.

After I went out of my room, I took a moment to tidy myself before entering He Yi’s room. She was still gaming, and her expression looked calm and peaceful.

I sat next to the bed and said beside her ears, "Eve, I just logged out of the game, and I’m going to head out for dinner. Do you want to come with me?"

He Yi couldn’t answer because she was still in the game, but the green LED on the gaming helmet began blinking rapidly. A few seconds later, she opened her eyes, took off the helmet and smiled at me. "Yes, I’m hungry too. Mingyue and Little Xin just logged out as well, so we’re all going together!"

"Yeah, we’ll go together."

Still holding her hand, I apologized, "I wasn’t able to keep you company for the past couple days due to, well, everything. You don’t blame me, do you?"

"Of course not!"

He Yi let out a chuckle as she sat up. Then, she wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me once on the cheek. "We’re not kids anymore. I’m fully aware we all have various works and responsibilities to attend to, so why would I begrudge you for doing your work diligently? You can keep me company after you’ve found Xinran."

"Yeah."

He Yi was only wearing pyjamas, and she was clinging to me tightly. The sensation of her warm, firm breasts squishing against my chest made my heart race.

I returned the kiss and slowly put her down on the bed. We were still kissing when I put one hand on her breast, felt its amazing roundness and bounciness, and lost control of my heartbeat completely. He Yi moaned a little into my lips. Her face was red, her hair was a little messy, but it only made her look prettier than ever before.

We were deep into the kiss when a knocking sound jolted us back to reality. We immediately parted from each other and swiveled our heads toward the door like a pair of owls.

At the entrance, Murong Mingyue was shooting us an exasperated glance and crossing her arms in front of her chest. "At least remember to close the door before you carry out your ‘business’…"

He Yi’s blush hadn’t faded yet, but she chided her sister, "It would’ve been fine if you stayed outside!"

Murong Mingyue said, "Is that so? Okay, the fault’s all mine. Please continue while Lian Xin and I have dinner…"

Growl…

My stomach let out a pathetic growl. "No, Eve and I will come with you two…"

"Okay…"

……

Ten minutes later, the three beauties and I appeared on the streets while discussing where we should have dinner.

Lian Xin said, "I feel like eating some wonton…"

Murong Mingyue shot down the idea, "You’ll get fat eating those. Lu Chen, you haven’t logged out for an entire day. What do you want to eat?"

I thought for a moment before answering, "Anything that has meat in it will do!"

"Simple and straightforward. Okay, meat it is…"

He Yi: "..."
