Chapter 2578 Super Compression

Chapter 2578  Super Compression

The key to the Blood Spirit Distillation was to use the spirit of a material to refine it. This process purged all impurities and waste, leaving behind only its absolute essence.

The "spirit" in question wasn't exactly the "soul" of the being but rather the essence that defined its existence. It was the remnant of a soul left behind in the corpse and flesh, bound to it and unable to part. A true soul, by nature, is flexible and can adapt to become any being in existence, but a "spirit" anchors it to its current form.

For instance, a soul could incarnate as a plant in one life, an insect in another, a dog in a third, and perhaps a human in a fourth. What defined them in each incarnation was the "spirit," which conformed the soul to its present existence. This spirit was bound to the corpse and was the origin of the bloodline.

What was a fierce dragon in one life could very well lose its bloodline and reincarnate as a common weasel in the next. This is why the refinement of Bloodline Essence Crystals and the Blood Spirit Refinement shared such striking similarities—their roots were essentially the same.

Given these parallels, there were bound to be commonalities in their methods. When Lin Mu first learned these techniques from the Withered Spirit Daoist's memories, he had been surprised by how similar they were to the refinement of Bloodline Essence Crystals. Having performed the latter a few times, Lin Mu was confident in his ability to handle the process.

By combining his own experiences with the expertise gleaned from the Withered Spirit Daoist, Lin Mu's chances of success were significantly enhanced. The only lingering doubt was whether the celestial-level method would work perfectly in the immortal realm. Even the Withered Spirit Daoist had never attempted it, so Lin Mu had no way to confirm its success beforehand.

"The third step is basically done," Lin Mu muttered as he glanced at the liquid marrow.

The golden glow of the marrow almost made it look like molten gold, but the vitality emanating from it confirmed that it was indeed marrow. While its aura was still strong, it was no longer overwhelming. Instead, it had become more contained and refined.

But for Lin Mu, this wasn't enough.

"I need more," Lin Mu said, his eyes gleaming with a hint of desire.

DENG

He slammed both palms onto the cauldron and roared, "CONDENSE!"

RUMBLE

This time, Lin Mu didn't use the searing energy of the Longgui Bulwark Armor but rather the first Dao Skill he had ever learned: the Aspect of Heaviness. His Dao Embryo didn't even need to leave his body; he channeled its power directly into the cauldron through his hands.

The weight of the golden marrow increased a hundredfold, compressed under Lin Mu's control. Already dense from distillation, the marrow's weight reached inhuman levels. If anyone were to swallow even a single drop, it would pierce through their body from mouth to groin.

Lin Mu's method was essentially a "hack" to further condense the marrow. Normally, such refinement required celestial-level skills, which Lin Mu neither possessed nor had access to. Instead, he applied a cruder but effective approach: forcibly increasing the weight of the marrow, causing its essence to shrink further.

The Four-Legged Crimson Heart Steel Cauldron, robust and resilient, could easily endure this process. Lin Mu felt no need to worry. Even if the cauldron was damaged or destroyed, no one in the world would dare demand compensation from him.

Forget the cauldron—even if Lin Mu destroyed every cauldron in the Imperial Alchemy Pavilion or razed the entire pavilion itself, they would still praise him with wide smiles. What Lin Mu had done for the world was priceless; even a hundred Imperial Alchemy Pavilions wouldn't suffice as compensation. In fact, the world was already in awe that Lin Mu hadn't demanded anything for his contributions. With his influence, he could claim an entire continent, and no one would dare refuse.

Lin Mu, however, had no time to dwell on such thoughts. His focus remained entirely on the task at hand. Minutes turned into hours as he maintained the Aspect of Heaviness on the marrow, applying relentless pressure. Gradually, the marrow began to separate into two distinct fluids.

The first was a clear, watery liquid with a faint rancid odor. The second, at the bottom, was a shimmering golden fluid that Lin Mu couldn't yet smell. The stark contrast in texture and consistency made it clear they were worlds apart.

Lin Mu continued exerting pressure for hours, ensuring the liquid reached its final state. After six arduous hours, he finally released the pressure, revealing the completely transformed liquid.

What remained was no longer the Tyrant Bull Marrow overflowing with vitality and aura. Instead, there was a small, one-inch-wide glob of golden liquid. It no longer resembled marrow, and no smell emanated from it. It was completely inert, and even probing it with his immortal sense yielded no results.

Lin Mu gazed at the final result with sharp eyes as he assessed his work.

This was the first time he had made something like this ever and there were less than ten individuals in the universe that might actually be able to analyze it for him. Even Xukong wouldn't be able to do this, as work like this was actually out of his expertise as well.

Not to mention the application of Celestial Realm method in the Immortal Realm with limited resources was something that had only been done rarely before. It wasn't even known how many people had such an achievement under their belt.

if there were any alchemist within the Rust Sky World that were to witness this they would find their entire worldview transforming. Their minds would open up to an entirely new understanding of the craft and their bottlenecks might shatter!

Such was the work that Lin Mu had done, something that would be desired to be witnessed by countless others.
