Chapter 2595  A Surprise Entry

The battle between the twins and the Blue Drake raged on for several intense minutes, with neither side able to secure a decisive advantage. The dense forest echoed with the sounds of clashing attacks, tearing winds, and raging water. Injuries mounted as the combatants continued their fierce struggle.

Xiao Yin and Xiao Yang's once-pristine scales were marred with scratches and cracks, their vibrant blood dripping onto the forest floor, staining it with a rich crimson hue. Despite their pain, their eyes shone with unwavering resolve.

The Blue Drake was not faring any better. Its shimmering cerulean scales, which once reflected the light like a mosaic of a serene lake, were now blemished with jagged tears, oozing blood that shimmered faintly with a blue tint. Several of its elegant whiskers had been ripped apart, and one of its majestic horns bore a fresh, jagged chip. Yet, the draconic beast's sapphire eyes burned with a mix of fury and respect.

"You brats are tougher than I expected. To think you can stand against me when many cultivators have failed," the Blue Drake admitted, a grudging acknowledgment glimmering in its gaze.

"You're strong too," Xiao Yin replied with a sly smile.

"But not as strong as Master," Xiao Yang added with a teasing grin.

The Blue Drake's pupils narrowed as he caught onto their words. Intrigued, he pondered the implications.

'So they have a master? That explains their strength,' he thought. 'Such powerful serpents couldn't appear out of nowhere. Their bloodline is extraordinary, even making me feel inferior despite my draconic heritage.'

The Blue Drake took a moment to study them, his gaze scrutinizing every detail. "Who is your master?" he finally asked.

"Not telling!" Xiao Yin said, sticking out her tongue mischievously.

Xiao Yang mirrored her defiance, a playful smirk tugging at his lips. "You'll have to guess."

The Blue Drake's patience snapped. "Fine! I'll drag it out of you the hard way!" he roared, his aura surging as his rage reached its peak.

The surrounding air grew dense with the sharp tang of water elemental Qi as the Blue Drake prepared a devastating attack. His tail elongated to a massive thousand-meter length, brimming with energy that surged like a tidal wave.

"Dao Skill: Shore Breaker!" he bellowed, swinging his tail downward with the force of a celestial hammer. The sheer pressure split the clouds above, creating an apocalyptic spectacle as the massive tail plummeted toward the twins like a war axe descending from the heavens.

Xiao Yin and Xiao Yang's eyes widened in alarm. They knew they couldn't fully evade such a wide-area attack. The sheer breadth of the strike left them with no choice but to brace themselves.

But just as the titanic attack was about to strike them, a deep, commanding voice rang out.

"Enough."

A deafening boom echoed as a massive hand appeared, enveloped in an ethereal barrier of Qi. The hand effortlessly halted the colossal tail mid-swing, dispersing the overwhelming energy in a ripple that shook the entire forest.

The twins stared in astonishment as an elderly man stepped forward, his figure radiating an aura of absolute authority. He stood tall, his frame towering at over two and a half meters, and his weathered features bore an expression of calm power. Despite his aged appearance, his presence exuded an unparalleled vitality that seemed to command the very elements.

The Blue Drake's attack faltered as he pulled back his tail, disbelief etched onto his face. "You stopped my Dao Skill? That's impossible!" he exclaimed, his voice trembling.

The elderly man's gaze turned sharp, his eyes glinting like steel. "Humph! A creature of your level dares to continue after my order?" he said, his voice dripping with disdain. With a slight clench of his fist, the residual energy from the Blue Drake's attack dissipated into nothingness, leaving the drake stunned.

The Blue Drake's heart raced as realization dawned on him. 'This… this man isn't ordinary. Could he be one of the Transcendent powerhouses?'

For the first time in the battle, the drake hesitated. He lowered his posture slightly, his aggression giving way to caution. "Are you their master?" he asked, his voice filled with a mix of respect and trepidation.

The elderly man shook his head. "No," he replied curtly.

"Then why intervene?" the Blue Drake pressed. "Someone of your level need not concern yourself with mere beasts."

A faint smirk tugged at the corners of the old man's lips. "You fool. If their master were here, you'd be in far greater trouble than anything I could do to you," he said, his tone laced with warning.

The elderly man turned to the twins, his demeanor softening. "Are you two unharmed?" he asked gently.

"We're fine," the twins replied in unison. Despite their injuries, their pride refused to let them show weakness.

"Good," the man said with a nod of satisfaction.

Xiao Yin, however, couldn't suppress her curiosity. "Who are you?" she asked cautiously, her instincts telling her that this man's strength far surpassed that of the Blue Drake.

The old man chuckled lightly. "You need not know my name for now. Let's just say I'm… an interested party."

Xiao Yang tilted his head, a sense of familiarity stirring in his mind. "Sister, doesn't he seem familiar?" he asked through their mental link.

Xiao Yin frowned slightly, studying the man's aura. "Now that you mention it… Have we met him before?"

"Maybe he's one of Master's acquaintances?" Xiao Yang speculated.

"Perhaps, but he doesn't seem like anyone we've encountered so far," Xiao Yin replied, still wary despite the man's actions.

The elderly man's presence exuded a sense of security, yet the twins couldn't entirely let their guard down. Years of training with Lin Mu had instilled in them a cautious nature, even amidst their playful antics. However, they couldn't deny the gratitude they felt toward their mysterious savior.

For now all they could do was to wait and watch how this would unfold. They knew that they had gone a little too far with their prank, and that their master would need to know about it.
