Sunier was a little bit irritated. She drew out a magic arrowbackhandedly and bent her long bow. But the other two vampires had both swooped down when they saw the archer below them, making it unable for Sunier to aim at them.
The vampires seemed extremely excited after mixing themselves into the crowd. Around them were all ordinary villagers, allowing them to fully exert their power in killing. They were sliding in the crowd like fishes were swimming in the river. Each time they waved their sharp claws, one more fresh life would be taken away. Harsh sound of cry was rising here and subsiding there.
The villagers became more terrified when hearing the scream from their fellows. They ran at all directions randomly, crying and colliding with each other. The weak ones were knocked down directly and trodden by countless feet of their own companions. They were still seriously injured with scarcely any breath left, even they could escape the fate of being killed by the vampires. How pathetic it was.
Moxinke flared up into a fury. But he could not catch up with or aim at the vampires among the crowd. Cessacioun and Sunier also stoodby anxiously. They could not lock their targets either.
“Get down!!”Han Jin shouted with his maximum effort.
Most of the villagers lay down immediately when they heard the shouting of Han Jin. Those who missed it also went prone subconsciously when seeing the abnormal actions of their fellows. Though their actions were disordered, their purpose was realized. Finally there were only the vampires still standing there.
“Go to hell!” Moxinke shouted. The sword in his hand turned into a brilliant river of stars and swirled toward the vampire standing the nearest to him.
It made an ugly smile, and stepped backwards quickly.
Moxinke made another leap into the sky and chased after it without giving up. The vampire’s face turned more ferocious when it found itself being targeted by Moxinke. It let out a shrill sound. Two other vampires came simultaneously to besiege him.
Moxinke showed no sign of fear. The moment they were going to collide, a ray of dazzling light exploded. Countless rays of golden light were shot out like numerous arrows against all the objects within the range of dozens of meters in diameter, turning the crowd, the vampires, andMoxinke into golden yellow.
Three vampires gave out a heartrending cryat the same time. While Moxinke was unaffected. The speed of his sword movement was accelerated all of a sudden. Brilliant light of stars pierced through the vampire’s chest and came out from its back together with a rain of black red blood.
Good cooperation needed actual combat training. In the previous attacks by the vampires, Han Jin would release magic first, making the subsequent counterattacks launched by Moxinke, Cessacioun and Sunier much easier. Butthe strong vampires could readjust themselves and escape timely to find more accomplices for vengeance.
So, they had adjusted their cooperation procedure. The goal was to kill all the enemies without leaving them any chance to escape.
Sunier loosened her finger. An arrow was shot out into the ear of onevampire precisely, and stabbed deep into it.
The vampire staggered a few steps back and thudded down on a girl in her twenties. Her head was lowering down all the time. The sudden slimy feeling came from her neck frightened her into screaming.
Cessacioun had also raised his magic wand. A streak of twisted lightning plummeted down from the air, hitting the last vampire. If their enemies were ghosts, Cessacioun was the most powerful, except Han Jin, who could always release all kinds of strange magic, to kill them. But vampires were different. Such a lightning brought no harm to the vampire at all, but just like scratching an itch for it.
Moxinke exerted strength to his right hand and was going to draw his long sword to kill the last vampire. Just then, the vampire in front of him grabbed the edge of the sword powerfully all of a sudden. Its nails on the right hand stroked across the air after a shrill sound and came toward his waist directly.
Moxinke was startled. He loosened his hand immediately and stepped a few paces back. The vampire stared at him, whose eyes gleamed with scarlet light and were filled with monstrous hatred. Its left hand grabbed the sword edge firmly, pulling the giant sword out from its body slowly.
A transparent hole was left on its body. Moxinke could even see the things behind the vampire through the hole when his sword was pulled out completely. Streams of sticky and black red blood flowed down from the hole incessantly. But the vampire stood still, as if its feet had been rooted deep under the ground.
Moxinke was completely astonished. He had killed lots of vampires along the way, but this one was the most tenacious he had ever seen!
The vampire took a deep breath. Suddenly, a puff of green stuff was spat out from its mouth.
Ah! A woman jumped up abruptlyafter a loud scream. The green thing was stuck on her back precisely. She was stiffed. Then acloud of thick mist rose from her body. All hermuscles were corroding at an extremely fast rate. In a blink of an eye, her body had become a pale skeleton.
They were all struck dumb with fear. Sunier bent her long bow again. Another arrow was shot out soundlessly. The vampire raised its arm to cover its face quickly and warded the arrow off.
“Ho ho...” it grinned nastily, and took another deep breath.
Moxinke retreated at his fastest speed immediately without getting back his sword. But no matter how fast he was running, his speed was still inferior to that of the magic. A rain made of black red blood drops fell down from the midair and swept all the people around.
Moxinke’s expression changed dramatically. He had no idea whatmagic it was, nor did he know whether his protective strength of fighting could protect him or not. The rain of blood covered too large an area for him to dodge.
Just at this critical moment, a wooden giant appeared in front of him out of nowhere. Though it was hit to stagger back several steps by the blood rain, itsuccessfully protected Moxinke from being attacked.
Heartrending cries echoed in the field. Those still lying on the ground were not as lucky as Moxinke. Around thirty of them were caught by the blood rain. They tumbled, struggled and screamed.
The vampire straightened its body and inhaled another long breath. Suddenly a streak of dazzling golden light lit up, under the cover of which an arrow approached the vampire without making any sound.
No matter how strong the vampire’s body was, its eyes were fragile. It had to close its eyes due to the flashing of the golden light. Sunier’s arrow pierced into the opened mouth of the vampire precisely. The next moment, a streak of firelight soared into the sky, turning the vampire into a giant ball of fire from inside to outside.
It screamed shrilly and could no longer release its magic. If the fire was just burning its outside body, it might be able to resist the damage. But now, it was burning from inside.
The last vampire was going to launch attacks to assist its companion. But it retreated aside in a hurry when seeing the black red blood rain. It was afraid of such magic too. Now its companion had become a ball of fire and was still burning, it knew the situation had beyond salvation and there was no hope for it to fight any more. Thus, it turned into a strangely-shaped bat again, fluttering its wings and fleeing into the sky.
Cessacioun showed a sneer. He had already finished his long incantation and in no case would he allow his target to flee away.He pointed his magic wand to the sky. The bat let out a shrill cry, plummeting down onto ground. Its wings were still flapping, but could not make its body up again. For any flying creature, the Art of Gravity was an irresistible magic. Dragons could ignore the attacks from such magic owing to their strong ability of magic resistance, but the vampires couldn’t.
Moxinke dashed forward with his body swirling and picked up his long sword that had been thrown away by the vampire. Once again the sword unleashed luminous radiance while the body of Moxinke was brushing against that of the vampire. A burning head soared into the sky. The vampire staggered, and thudded down.
Moxinke didn’t stop, and his bright sword cut down again. The bat that was still struggling returned into the shape of vampire instantly when it found the situation was urgent, but before he could climb up, a puff of golden light had exploded in front of its eyes. The next moment, Moxinke’s long sword fell onto its head.
It was much harder than Moxinke had expected. With a loud sound of collision, his sword was bounced away, the same was the vampire, who was thrown onto ground heavily by the force of both impulsion and gravity. Anyway, Moxinke was the dominant party to test the hardness of the vampire’s head by his sword.
He raised his sword again without leaving time for the vampire to gasp a breath. This time, itwas thrust down as fast and forceful as lightning and pierced through the vampire’s neck directly, pinning it on the ground.
Han Jin walked to it slowly and waved his hand. A charm floated down, which turned into a curtain of golden light when touching the body of the vampire and enveloped it inside. It struggled for a while, and finally became motionless.
Han Jin heaved a sigh of relief. These vampires were too strong. Those they had met in the past could be wiped out in a few minutes after releasing one Charm of Pure Light. But this time, he had used several of such charms. Fortunately they only met three vampires today, otherwise, the result must be disastrous.
Screams of the crowd gradually died down. Nevertheless, quietness did not mean the recoveryof the villagers, but the vanishing of their lives.
“What the hell is it? Why can the vampire release magic?” Moxinke shouted. His heart was still fluttering with fear.
“I don’t know.” Sunier came closer to them, her expression was very heavy, “I’ve never heard of any vampire that can release magics.”
“What about you, Cessacioun? Have you heard of such kind of vampire?”
“Me either.” Cessacioun cracked a wry smile.
“We may have killed a great one, and...” Sunier stopped.
“And what?” Moxinke asked.
“And big troubles will come to us.” Sunier let out a light sigh.
