Chapter 1597: What Could Go Wrong?

Su Mo observed Yun Youyou’s solemn expression and started to hesitate as soon as he heard Leng Xie’s words.

He knew Yun Youyou’ intentions. Yun Youyou was saving Leng Xie at the same time as she was saving Su Mo.

If Su Mo killed Leng xie, he would be killed before he managed to escape Ming Xu Galaxy.

Su Mo gripped the longsword in his hand tightly. He really wanted to kill Leng Xie, as showing him mercy here would spell trouble for Su Mo later.

He knew that the moment he offended Leng Xie, a narrow minded person, Leng Xie would definitely not let him off.

Su Mo paused. Whether or not he killed Leng Xie, he would be in deep trouble.

Shoosh!

Right at that moment, Bei Jing flew over and stood in front of Leng Xie.

“Su Mo, spare Leng Xie!”

Bei Jing requested. With that, he threw a glance at Leng Xie and signalled him to run.

Leng Xie nodded his head slightly and glared one final time at Su Mo. Without thinking twice, he flew off in the opposite direction.

He knew that the longer he stayed there, the greater danger he would be in.

Now that he had no more strength left with which to fight, he had to leave the Ancient Demons Cemetery immediately.

A murderous glare flashed through Su Mo’s eyes. However, Bei Jing was blocking him and it wasn’t possible for him to kill Leng Xie anymore.

Unless Su Mo defeated Bei Jing before Leng Xie left.

Shoosh!

At lightning-speed, Leng Xie’s shadow zipped through the sky and disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Su Mo sighed inwardly. He didn’t manage to kill Leng Xie eventually.

Either way, Su Mo would have to leave Ming Xu Galaxy immediately once he left the Ancient Demons Cemetery.

Every disciple of the other superpowers sighed when they saw Leng Xie fleeing.

Leng Xie had lost?

The last attack had used up all of Leng Xie’s strength but it was still unable to defeat Su Mo.

As the disciple of the leader of the Sun Moon Tribe, the Young Clan Leader, a Rank 3 Martial Honorable and a prominent genius of the Ming Xu Galaxy, it was unbelievable that Leng Xie had lost to a Rank 2 Martial Honorable!

Once this news spread, Ming Xu Galaxy would be engulfed in chaos.

Leng Xie’s title and status represented the younger generation of the Ming Xu Galaxy. Now that he had lost to a martial artist with a lower cultivation rank than him, what would happen?

Not only would this event shame Leng Xie forever, it would also greatly diminish the authority that Sun Moon Tribe had.

The heir of the most dominant superpower in the Ming Xu Galaxy was picked out of a million other candidates, yet he still lost even after using a sacred skill of the tribe. What a joke!

This was an invisible slap to Sun Moon Tribe’s face!

Everyone’s gaze fell on Su Mo as their hearts filled with shock.

His exceptional talents were definitely the best in the whole galaxy.

However, Su Mo had offended Leng Xie which wasn’t a good thing.

The Empty Sky Sect disciples had faces as dark as the night sky. It was a worrying thing to have an enemy as scary as Su Mo.

A group of True Path Sect disciples had emotions rushing into their hearts. Su Mo had gained honor for the sect today, but the True Path Sect would be in trouble for his actions.

A few moments later, the crowd flew into the air and left. Since the battle was over, there was no further reason for them to remain there.

In a breath, a thousand disciples from the various superpowers left. Bei Jing also took his leave.

In the Ancient Demon’s Cemetery, only Su Mo and Yun Youyou were left.

“Su Mo, lets go too!” Yun Youyou said.

“Holy Lady, when shall we set off and leave for Ancientspirit Galaxy?” Su Mo asked. He had to leave Ming Xu Galaxy as fast as possible. After all, he had killed Li Hentian and many other Empty Sky Sect disciples. At the same time, he had offended Leng Xie. He was in danger by being in Ming Xu Galaxy.

Although he could rely on Saint Zhen Xian, he did not want to put Saint Zhen Xian in a tight spot.

“Let’s leave half a month later!” Yun Youyou told Su Mo. She had to return to the Sun Moon Tribe and prepare for the journey.

Firstly, she would be gone for a long time for the journey and hence she had to find a suitable excuse to tell her teacher.

Secondly, she had to take extra caution in case anything happened. If Su Mo had some plot against her, she would be in deep trouble. Therefore, she had to prepare further.

Yun Youyou did not completely trust Su Mo, and she still had to be on guard.

“How about this? 10 days later, I will wait at the Sixth Chamber of Commerce in Ancient Tong City for you!” Su Mo pondered for a while before exclaiming.

Half a month was too long and he was afraid things might make a turn for the worst. Hence, he suggested a reduction of 5 days.

Yun Youyou’s perfectly plucked eyebrows knitted together slightly. However, she did not reject Su Mo and nodded her head slightly. Although time was tight for her, she could prepare everything in 10 days.

The two did not remain further in that spot and their bodies twitched before they flew up into the sky.

...

On a mountain in the outside world, a large gateway to the Ancient Demon’s Cemetery opened.

“What is going on? Why haven’t they come out after so long?”

“There can’t be anything wrong right?”

An elder of one of the superpowers looked at the peaceful gateway, while many other elders started to frown.

The gateway had been opened for a full span of 10 breaths, but no one had appeared. This made everyone suspect whether something was wrong in the Ancient Demon’s Cemetery.

“Elder Yin Ze, should we go down and take look?” The middle-aged Elder Hu, dressed in a yellow robe from the Empty Sky Sect, cupped his fists towards Elder Yin Zi and asked.

Something had obviously gone wrong since no one had come out after so much time. The elder first suspected Su Mo.

This was highly possible. Su Mo might have obtained the help of the True Path Sect disciples and managed to avoid the assassination by Li Hentian.

If the elder was allowed to go in, he would kill Su Mo straightaway.

The elder didn’t manage to kill Su Mo, even after personally attacking him in the starry sky previously. This was a great shame to him.

“Wait!”

Elder Yin Ze’s face was emotionless but he barked out the order with words as heavy as metal. Even he was not allowed to enter the Ancient Demon’s Cemetery, so how could he let the subordinates enter?

Elder Hu felt helpless and he could only continue waiting.

As he looked at Elder Ma beside him, Elder Hu mind-linked him and said, “Elder Ma, nothing should be wrong right?”

“What could go wrong?” Elder Ma’s face was calm and he transferred another mental message to Elder Hu.

“I am afraid Su Mo managed to get the help of the other True Path Sect disciples and escape from Li Hentian!” Elder Hu voiced his concerns.

“There is only Yi Wei who is strong among all the True Path Sect disciples. She alone is not enough for that!”

Elder Ma shook his head. He was not worried, Li Hentian had Hu Sheng’s Seven-colored Glazed Pagoda and Su Mo wouldn’t be his match even if he had the help of Yi Wei and the other True Path Sect disciples.

“Mm!” Elder Hu nodded his head slightly. He managed to relax after he thought of the Seven-colored Glazed Pagoda.

On the other hand, Sage-to-be Zhen Gu was frowning gravely. He was anxious and worried about Su Mo in the Ancient Demon’s Cemetery.

“Elder Zhen Gu, don’t worry. Su Mo will not die!” Feng Guang noticed Sage-to-be Zhen Gu’s expression and tried to console him.

Feng Guang was confident in Su Mo. perhaps it was because Su Mo was an exceptional talent, or perhaps it was because Su Mo had relations to Saint Zhen Xian.
