Chapter 137 - BAD FEELING
Chapter 137 - BAD FEELING
"Martin, you take good care of yourself there. Don't forget to always call me or Mom." Ellena ordered as she brushed Martin's hair like a child.
The reason is, today Martin will go to Cambridge to continue his studies there. It was enough to make Ellena and her mother feel worried. It seems they are very hard to let Martin go abroad.
Yes of course. Isn't that place very far away? Surely they will really miss the figure of Martin who has always accompanied their days.
Suddenly, Ellena's tears fell. She really could no longer hold back her sadness because she was about to be left far away by her younger brother.
After a full night, she couldn't sleep well because she thought about it, today finally became the culmination of feelings of sadness, fear, and worry that seemed to be mixed into one. I don't know how to describe Ellena's feelings right now.
"You don't have to worry about me like that, Sis. I'll definitely be fine there. All you need to do is keep Mom in good health, because I don't want to hear news about Mom's deteriorating condition again, as long as I stay there," said Martin at length.
"Come on, don't cry like that. You're worrying too much about me!" mumbled Martin as he wiped away Ellena's tears.
"Stupid! How can I not worry about you. You are my brother. It's also your first time going abroad. Who will accompany you there?" Ellena seemed to hit the base of Martin's arm with the comb in her hand.
"Ow, Sister, my hand is hurts!" Martin shouted, holding the base of his left arm.
"Just being hit like that, you're already in pain. What if later there you meet a criminal who beat you, I can't imagine how your condition will be," complained Ellena, looking too worried about her brother.
Ellena then put the comb on the nightstand, then smoothed the collar of her brother's shirt which she had even tidied many times since earlier.
"Ah, Sister, you are nothing. I am a man. How can I be silent if someone beats me, am I really an idiot?" Martin replied trying to neutralize Ellena's feelings so she wouldn't worry too much about him.
"Heh! Don't act rashly. Remember it's not the country you were born in. You're just studying there. What if it turns out that you're the one to blame? You want to return to Indonesia with the status of an ex-convict?" Ellena replied which managed to make Martin shake his head.
"Sister, you are too paranoid. Saying too much bad about me is the same as praying for me." Martin grumbled in annoyance.
"I'm not wishing you bad, I'm just worried about you, Martin. Try to understand a little bit of my concern right now. I just don't want you to be upset. Your goal there is to go to school and come home to be a successful person, not the other way around. Please don't ever disappoint Mom, me, and also your brother-in-law. He must have spent a lot of money just for your school fees." Ellena explained at length, constantly advising her brother.
"Yes, Sis. I understand your concern, but you don't need to overdo it. I'm an adult. I can definitely take care of myself. Or if you don't want me to go there, you can just ask your husband to cancel my school plans in abroad," said Martin, who was still trying to thwart his brother-in-law's plans.
Yes, until this moment Martin has not been willing to continue his education in a place far from his family. If it wasn't for Lucas who kept pushing him, he wouldn't want to continue his education there either. If he had a brother-in-law who understood his desires better, maybe now he could still sleep comfortably in his room, without having to think about the difficulty of adapting in a foreign place.
"That's not what I wanted!" Ellena pursed her lips, again hitting the base of Martin's arm with her hand.
"No one will cancel your departure there!"
A baritone voice immediately caught their attention. I don't know how long Lucas was in that room. This suddenly made Martin look away for a moment, it was useless to persuade Ellena to cancel Lucas' plan.
"Lucas?" Ellena whispered with her hand still holding Martin's shirt collar.
Lucas walked over to Martin and Ellena, positioned himself, standing right next to his wife.
"How long are you going to fix your brother's collar?" Lucas looked questioningly into his wife's face.
"Are we too late?" asked Ellena putting on a worried expression.
"We'll be late if you don't finish your activities soon." Lucas replied, looking at Ellena's hand that was still holding Martin's shirt collar.
Ellena swiftly lowered her hand. She just realized that she had repeatedly tidied the collar of her brother's shirt.
"I'm just advising my sister. I'm worried about him, Lucas." Ellena whined while putting on a pitiful expression in front of her husband.
"You don't believe me?" Lucas rolled his eyes trying to make sure.
"Of course I believe you, but I'm still worried about Martin." Ellena replied with a frown.
"I have a lot of acquaintances there, Honey. Besides, I also have a business branch there, so you don't have to worry. I'll make sure that Martin will be okay there." Lucas explained as he wanted to calm his wife's feelings.
"Okay, I trust you." Ellena whispered, trying to neutralize her feelings. "Martin promise me you'll take good care of yourself there!" asked Ellena as she grabbed both the bases of Martin's arms.
"I promise, Sis. You also have to promise me to take good care of Mom," Martin replied.
"Yes of course."
"Are you ready?"
Briana suddenly walked over to them. Her eyes were puffy, as if she had just finished crying. Oh, yes. Briana did cry because she was sad to have to let her son go today.
With slightly limp steps, Briana rushed over and hugged Martin, sobbing sobbing against her son's chest.
"Mom, don't cry like this. It's getting harder for me to leave Mom, if you continue like this. Trust me, I'll be fine there, Mom, you don't have to worry." Martin said as he hugged Briana's body tightly.
"Take care of your health, don't forget to eat. Mom always supports the best for you, but honestly, it's really hard for you to let go," said Briana, still sobbing.
"I know, it's hard for me to leave you too, but it can't be helped. Isn't this what you wanted?" Martin's eyes began to tear up, unable to contain the sadness anymore, especially when he saw his mother crying like that.
"Okay, I'm willing to let you go, My son. Do your best, never let us down. No matter what happens, you must continue your schooling. Remember My message!" Briana said emphatically while staring intently at her son's face, after she stretched her body.

After the touching drama that happened at Lucas Fidell's house was over, they finally left to take Martin to the airport.
Now they were at the airport watching Martin leave, who had already flown to their destination. Again the tears fell from the corners of the eyes of a pair of mother and daughter who were standing side by side.
Of course because they also did not feel calm before knowing that Martin had arrived at their destination safely.
"Come on, Mom, don't keep crying over him like that. Later he won't be able to settle down there. Isn't this for him own good?" Lucas said trying to calm his mother-in-law.
However, still. The feelings of a mother can not be lied to. Even though it was done for the good of her son, she still wasn't willing to let Martin go away from her.
"Mom, we pray that Martin is well and safely to his destination." Ellena seemed to put her hand on her mother's shoulder, then hugged the middle-aged woman for a while.
To be honest, Ellena also felt uneasy. She seemed to be haunted by a very strong feeling of worry. For some reason she felt as if something bad was going to happen. Hoping that was just part of her worries, not because she had a bad feeling.
"Yes, Elle." Briana answered quietly.
Ellena smiled, then gently wiped her mother's tears. She knew very well how her mother felt right now. Must be very sad, just as she felt.
"Okay, now let's go home." Lucas asked, which was immediately responded positively by Ellena and Briana.
They left right away. Lucas opened the car door for Ellena and his mother-in-law, before he finally got behind the wheel, next to his wife.
In a matter of minutes, the car sped up at a moderate speed through a fairly quiet highway, not too busy with passing vehicles.
There was silence in the car for a while. Only the sound of roaring and honking of other vehicles accompanied each other along their journey.
Lucas' gaze seemed to focus on the direction of the steering wheel. Every now and then he glanced in the rearview mirror above him, noting that his mother-in-law was sitting in the back seat, still sobbing a little. It really can't bear to see the mother-in-law sad like that, but he tried to let it go. Maybe later Briana will get used to Martin not being home.
Seeing that the streets were still not busy, he increased his speed slightly, hoping to be home soon. However, damn. He had to slow down again when a black car from behind managed to overtake him. Not to mention the car that drove very slowly in front of his car.
Panic. Lucas looked wide-eyed when he stepped on the brake pedal not working properly. I don't know why suddenly the brakes fail like that.
"Lucas, what happened?" Ellena asked a little panicked when she saw Lucas' expression.
However, Lucas did not answer Ellena's question, still trying to control the direction of the steering wheel and not wanting to make Ellena worried and frightened.
Not wanting to hit the car in front of him, Lucas swerved to the right, trying to overtake the very slow car in front. However, unfortunately. A sedan seemed to be speeding from the opposite direction so that it forced him to swerve to the left.
"Aaarrrgg!"
BRAK!
