Chapter 51 - WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?
Chapter 51 - WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?
Ellena stayed awake, even though Lucas had accompanied her over the phone. Given that the phone was still on, it made it even more difficult for her to close her eyes. It was as if someone was watching her, though she was sure that Lucas couldn't see in person.
Ellena had been in that position for quite a while. In fact, no more words came out of her mouth. She hoped Lucas would think that she was asleep. However, before she could end her guess, suddenly Lucas' voice made her flinch again.
"Sleep! I know you haven't slept yet." Ellena's eyes widened at Lucas' voice. How could the man know that she hadn't fallen asleep?
"You? How do you know I haven't slept yet?" Ellena slightly raised her head as she looked at the cellphone that was still lying in the same place.
"In fact, I know what you're doing right now." Ellena was even more flabbergasted when Lucas said that. She then seemed to be looking up her face, staring at several corners of the ceiling in turn.
Maybe everyone would do the same, when she was in Ellena's position right now. CCTV, that's the tiny thing Ellena is looking for right now. Who would have thought, it turned out that Lucas had deliberately installed CCTV in the room without her knowledge. It's possible, right?
However, after carefully searching every corner of the room, she still couldn't find what she was looking for.
'Or maybe he put the hidden camera somewhere else?' Ellena muttered to herself as she thought for a moment. 'Just watch out if that happens, I won't forgive him!' She added still inwardly while frowning her face as if furious.
While in another room, Lucas seemed to be holding back a smile imagining how Ellena's expression was now. Ellena must have been thinking that he had a hidden camera installed. I can't imagine how scared Ellena was, after he pretended to know. In fact, he had absolutely no idea what he was doing. It was just that he loved scaring Ellena like that as if there was a certain satisfaction in him.
"Lucas, you purposely lied to me?" Ellena's voice suddenly made Lucas wake up and let go of a smile.
"Why would I lie?" Lucas asked trying to dodge it.
"You didn't put a hidden camera in my room, did you?" This time Lucas tried not to laugh. Turns out his guess was right. If he could see Ellena's expression right now, it would probably look really cute on him.
"According to you?" Lucas replied with a question.
Ellena is increasingly distraught looking for hidden cameras in her room. She immediately got out of bed and checked every corner of the room, without forgetting to bring her cell phone.
She shifted the objects on the dresser, nightstand and bookshelf one by one. However, she still couldn't find what she was looking for. She then ran to the window and pulled up the curtains, as it was possible Lucas had a hidden camera in there. Nothing. The thing she was looking for wasn't even there.
"Where is that thing? Anyway, I have to find it. Just look at Lucas, I won't forgive you if I ever find it!" Ellena grumbled as she shifted the photo figure that was located on the nightstand to the left of her bed.
Don't want to give up, Ellena kept looking for it in every corner. It was really dangerous for her. Her fate could be threatened just because of such a small object. That was why she had to be able to find the thing.
Even though she was a little out of breath, she continued to search the entire room. Unfortunately, the result is still the same. Until she decided to stop for a moment, standing right in front of the wardrobe with her hands on her hips. She then snorted harshly.
When Ellena struggled to find the object, Lucas actually chuckled hearing Ellena's every movement that was recorded by the telephone line until it reached her ears.
"How long are you going to look for that thing? You won't find anything there. Go to sleep!" Lucas said, still chuckling.
Ellena, whose one hand was still on her waist, again exhaled heavily. Tired, sure. She felt like she wanted to scratch Lucas' face right then and there, when she heard the man's statement. 'Was he deliberately pranking me?' She thought.
"Lucas, are you deliberately fooling me?" asked Ellena with an annoyed expression.
"I'll wait 10 minutes. If you're still not asleep, I'll make sure I'll be in your room by then, Elle." Lucas gave another threat and hoped it would make Ellena sleep and not think about Keenan anymore.
Yes, right. That was the reason Lucas kept bothering Ellena. At first he was sure that Ellena would have a hard time sleeping tonight. It turned out that his guess was right, thus making him decide to annoy Ellena.
He knew that it was Keenan who couldn't sleep and he just wanted to make sure Ellena slept peacefully, without thinking about what happened a few hours ago. In fact, in reality it was not only Keenan who became the object of Ellena's thoughts, but also herself.
"Lucas, you're so annoying!" Ellena cursed as she got up from the place, then crawled up the bed.
"Don't talk too much! When are you going to sleep, if you swear too much like that?" Lucas replied.
Ellena had opened her mouth to respond to Lucas, but she gave up and chose not to care. Her lips pursed slightly, holding back annoyance at Lucas. Even more annoyed when she couldn't reply to the man's annoying attitude.
After that, they said nothing more, even though the phone line was still connected. Ellena kept trying to be quiet. It was useless to argue with Lucas, because she would never be able to beat the man. She also chose to remain silent until sleepiness began to approach.
In a semi-conscious state. Ellena's eyes looked so heavy holding back the sleepiness. As a result, a pair of eyelids seemed closed, then opened again. It happened over and over again, until in the end she really couldn't hold back her sleep anymore.
"Lucas, you're annoying," Ellena whispered deliriously, before finally closing her eyes completely.
A faint smile appeared on Lucas's face as Ellena fell asleep. Even though the woman's voice was soft, he could still hear her clearly.
"Good night, Elle. Have a nice dream tonight," Lucas whispered before finally turning off the line.
"That woman." Lucas seemed to shake his head slowly, then put his device on the nightstand.
He then changed his position from sitting back to lying on the bed. Again he gave a smile while imagining Ellena's expression at that time.

The next morning, Lucas looked tidy in a gray work suit. He then left the room and stepped into the dining room. From a distance, it looks like Joana is busy arranging the breakfast menu on the dining table. Instantly Lucas looked around in several directions as if he was looking for something.
"Is Miss Ellena not out of her room yet?" Lucas' question immediately made Joana gasp, then tilted her head. Joana hadn't realized Lucas was there yet, so she was a little surprised.
"Good morning, Sir," said Joana, looking down slightly, before answering Lucas' question. "Miss Elle doesn't seem like she's awake yet, Sir." She added very politely.
Lucas slightly raised his right hand, then looked at the rolex watch that was wrapped around his wrist. The time is 06.40 a.m. 'Looks like she overslept from last night,' Lucas whispered to himself.
Lucas lowered his hand again, then focused his gaze ahead. "Please prepare breakfast for Miss Elle!" asked Lucas to Joana.
"Yes, Sir." Joana bowed slightly, then immediately did as her master ordered.
Meanwhile, Lucas drew closer to the dining table and landed himself on one of the chairs at the very end.
It didn't take long. Joana had finished preparing breakfast for Ellena on a tray and was about to take the food to Ellena's room.
"Let me carry it." Lucas got up, just as Joana was about to reach for the tray of food.
"Please, Sir." Lucas immediately rushed to Ellena's room, after Joana handed the tray to him.
Sure enough. Inside the room, Ellena was still lying on the bed wrapped in a thick white blanket. Lucas smiled at the sight he could rarely find.
Lucas walked over to the nightstand and put the tray there. After that, he walked to the bedroom window and opened the silver curtain that was still covering the window.
The sunlight that refracted through the window pane instantly awakened Ellena and made the woman squint slightly. Ellena quickly covered her eyes with her hands, just as Lucas turned to face her.
"Are you awake?" Lucas asked which suddenly made Ellena remove her hands from in front of her face.
"Lucas?" Ellena gaped at Lucas. She was really surprised to find Lucas suddenly in her room. "Lucas, what are you doing here?" She asked then as she got up and sat on the bed.
"You seem to be so soundly, after I—"
"I sleep well because I sleep late, not because—Ah, well, you better get out of my room!" Ellena cut the conversation off, as if she knew what Lucas was going to say.
"Oh yes?" Lucas raised his eyebrows. "You seem very sure of what you say." He quipped later.
"Of course, I'm sure of what I said, because it's true," said Ellena, getting out of bed.
"I've brought you breakfast." Lucas' statement managed to make Ellena turn towards the nightstand. She looked at the breakfast menu that was ready there.
"You eat and don't forget to finish it. I'm going to the office now." Ellena turned back to Lucas. Lucas had a smile on his face. Very shady. That was how Ellena felt right now. However, as quickly as possible she brushed off her madness again. How could she have thought that Lucas' smile was so soothing? That's a big mistake. Obviously a big mistake.
Lucas then left Ellena's room without another word, even with Ellena who also had no intention of responding to Lucas.
