Chapter 59 - SHE'S ANNOYING, BUT ALSO ADDORABLE
Tangled. That's what Lucas's face now looks like. Apparently, he didn't like the words that just came out of Ellena's mouth.
The sentence clearly made him regret the agreement that had trapped him in a feeling that he couldn't just express.
How could he easily find another woman to serve as a future wife, when he already felt comfortable around Ellena?
"I'm full." Lucas brushed off the spoon that Ellena had shoved into his mouth. Ah, Ellena's words really bothered him, so he didn't want to do anything, including chewing food.
"Finish your breakfast, Lucas. Look at this! You still have a lot of food left," said Ellena that still hanging the spoon in front of Lucas' mouth. However, Lucas turned his face away. Let alone accepting the food, even looking at Ellena's face seemed like he didn't want to.
"No, Ellena. I want to rest, you better get out of my room." Lucas seemed to lay his body back down.
It suddenly made Ellena feel a little surprised. 'Why did Lucas suddenly tell her to leave, wasn't he the one who kept me in this room?' Ellena whispered to herself.
"What's wrong with you, Lucas?" Ellena asked as Lucas was lying on his side with back to her.
"Lucas, what's wrong with you? Is there something wrong with what I said?" Ellena seemed to be holding Lucas's shoulder as she wanted to turn the man's body back, facing her. However, Lucas' defense was so strong, that she couldn't just beat him.
Always like that. Lucas' attitude always changes suddenly. Ah, Ellena really felt bad if Lucas suddenly acted cold like this.
"Lucas, you're just like a child. You always get angry every time I make a small mistake. Can't we have a good talk, if you don't like my attitude or the way I talk? There's no need to silence me like this!" Then complained Ellena. She seemed to have a sad expression as she looked at Lucas' back.
"I'm sorry if I'm wrong. But please tell me, what did I do to make you angry like that? At least, I can correct my attitude, so as not to upset you like this."
Ellena didn't want to give up. She was still trying to persuade Lucas to stop being so cold towards her.
"Lucas, come on ... don't make me feel guilty like this." Ellena whined, shaking Lucas' shoulder.
"Shut up, Ellena! I want to rest. Can't you just not bother me for a second?" Lucas turned around and glared at Ellena.
Seeing the angry look on Lucas' face, Ellena immediately shrunk and slightly pursed her lips.
"I can do it if it's only for a second, but if it's too long I can't," answered Ellena very innocently, making Lucas widen his eyes even more because he was annoyed with Ellena who continued to argue with him.
Ellena looked even more scared by Lucas's expression. "Sorry, I didn't mean it like that." Ellena whispered as she lowered her gaze. "Don't be angry like that, I don't like it." She added then without wanting to look at Lucas's face.
"What do you care? I want to be angry or not, it's none of your business! Come on, go there!" expel Lucas mercilessly.
'Oh my God ... he's so rude! What did I do wrong to have him kick me out like this?' Ellena muttered to herself.
"Didn't you hear what I said?" Lucas' snarl this time managed to make Ellena look up. "Go out!" He shouted with wide eyes, suddenly made Ellena jump just as he was about to look at her.
"O-okay, Lucas. I'll go out, but don't get mad anymore. Remember, you're sick. Don't make your pain worse by getting angry too much," Ellena replied in a tone that was intentionally sarcastic.
Even so, she was still afraid of Lucas. However, her heart was slightly moved to tease Lucas in such an angry state.
"Ellenaaa!!" Lucas growled as he scrunched his whole face. His breath was a little ragged, as if he was holding back the anger that was building up in his chest.
"Okay, I'm going out!" Ellena immediately avoided by getting up from her seat, then immediately ran out of the room.
"That woman is always so annoying!" Lucas grumbled, as Ellena had left her room. He reached for a glass of drinking water from the nightstand. Due to his disappointment, he had forgotten that he had not had a drink, after eating earlier.
Lucas finished the glass of water in one gulp. He then put the glass back in its original place and leaned back as before. Funny. Instantly his face broke into a smile, as he remembered Ellena's behavior.
"She's annoying, but also adorable. When can I pinch her nose until she screams for mercy?" He said, tugging at the corners of his lips, then shook his head.

"Lucas!" Ellena's scream instantly woke Lucas from his sleep.
"Lucas!" Ellena opened the door to Lucas' room and walked straight in, without knocking and asking the owner's permission first.
Lucas jumped up, then rubbed his eyes and turned his body into a supine position. Even though he was fast asleep that afternoon, Ellena's loud voice made him wake up.
"Lucas, please allow me to leave right now!" Ellena pleaded while pleading with Lucas who was still trying to open his eyes perfectly.
"Gosh, Ellena, what are you doing here? Why are you always interrupting my rest, ha? Don't you know that I'm not feeling well?" Lucas immediately managed to get angry with Ellena's presence in his room which suddenly disrupted his rest.
"I'm sorry, I had to do this, Lucas," Ellena whispered and immediately broke her tears at that moment suddenly making Lucas feel surprised.
"W-why? Why are you crying like that, Elle?" Lucas seemed to get up and sat on the bed looking at Ellena who kept wailing in front of him.
"I just got the news that my mother is sick. Please give me permission to go back to the village right now, sob ...." Ellena said with a little stuttering because of her unbearable sobs.
"I don't know what will happen if I don't go home now. I beg you, Lucas!" Ellena lowered her body and sat on the floor pleading with Lucas.
She knew exactly what Lucas was like. She would not easily get permission from that man. That was why she had lowered herself to beg like that.
"Elle, what happened to you?" Lucas got out of bed and walked over to Ellena, though he still felt a little pain in his stomach and head.
"Get up!" He asked as he grabbed Ellena's shoulder and lifted her up.
"Help me, Lucas!" Ellena said as she continued to spit out clear liquid from the corners of her eyes.
"Tell me, what exactly happened!" Lucas looked at Ellena questioningly while holding the shoulders of the woman in front of him.
"My mother is seriously ill, Lucas, and she is in the hospital right now." Ellena replied with unbearable sadness.
She was very worried, what if something bad happened when she wasn't by her mother's side? While in the village she had no other siblings, apart from Martin.
She must immediately go to see her mother who is currently still unconscious. She would not forgive herself, if anything bad happened to her mother.
"What's wrong with Mom?" Lucas looked sadly at his wife's face.
"I don't know, Lucas. Martin said, Mom suddenly fainted at home and after being taken to the hospital she was in a coma." Ellena explained in a stuttering tone.
"You calm down, Elle. Mother will be fine. I can't take you there in this condition–"
"I'll go alone, Lucas. You just rest at home." Ellena interrupted with great enthusiasm.
Lucas was silent for a moment. Apparently, he was hesitant to let Ellena go home alone. Not to mention he was worried if Ellena met Keenan there. However, he also couldn't let Ellena just cry here, because of the worry that haunted his wife even more.
Either way, he must be able to find a way out to overcome the problems they are currently facing. He didn't want to disappoint Ellena with him, but he also didn't want to struggle with the worry of letting Ellena go alone to the village. It was too far away for a woman like Ellena to go alone.
"I won't let you go there alone, Elle." Lucas replied.
"Then what should I do, Lucas? I'm really worried about mom's current condition." Ellena whined while wearing a disappointed look.
"Wait! I'll find a way to make us both comfortable." Lucas said thoughtfully.
"But how?" asked Ellena confused.
Without answering Ellena's question, Lucas got up from there and picked up the cellphone that was lying on the nightstand. After pressing the phone screen repeatedly, he turned the flat object to his ear.
"Hello, Alex! Can you help me?" Lucas asked Alex who was on the other side.
"Please go somewhere to meet Ellena's family. I'll send the address later and please take them to Jakarta." Lucas asked after receiving an answer from Alex.
"Alright, please you go there right now!" Lucas said before finally ending the chat with his personal assistant.
"Lucas, do you really want to bring my family here?" Ellena looked over to Lucas who had just put the phone on the nightstand.
Lucas seemed to turn to Ellena with a smile. "I promise, I will do my best for your mother and young brother, Elle." Lucas looked at Ellena so closely while holding Ellena's shoulder back.
Ellena was deeply moved by Lucas' answer. She really didn't expect Lucas to have an angelic heart like that.
"Thank you, Lucas.." Ellena hissed again spilling the clear liquid down her cheeks and Lucas only responded with a smile.
