What Do You Mean There Are Other Transmigrators In My Harem Fantasy?

Chapter 605: Is This Too Easy?

Chapter 605: Is This Too Easy?

The healer of that party was simply staring at the stage where his entire party got wiped faster than he could even cast a spell.

Even his own team was looking around like they couldn't believe what just happened.

Our facilitator turned to him, "You still can bring back one of your slaves by using up all your support units. Would you like to do that? If yes, who would you like to bring back?"

The healer blinked once before raising his hands, "We… We surrender."

Oof… I actually feel a little bad for him, not gonna lie.

But well… Coupons for all you can eat sweets are on the line so I'm not going to pull any punches here.

Speaking of which… I doubled my money from the betting we did on ourselves since Eins's wins were also mine.

This is the easiest money I've made!

The facilitator then came to me, "Congratulations, you've won your first match. Please proceed back to the counter to start your second match."

"Eh? Right away?"

"That is correct. The matches will keep continuing until the final ten has been decided. Everyone is free to drop out whenever but their opponent for that match would automatically advance to the next round as the winners."

So it's not only testing our skills but also our endurance? Or maybe they just want this to be done and over with as quickly as possible and they're just tossing us at each other until they have the winners they needed?

The tournament for the top ten would be happening right after the exhibition was completed after all so it's not like we would come back tomorrow or something after this.

The only problem was that our match finished way faster than everyone else so we were stuck waiting for our opponent to finish their match to join us.

This was also clearly in our favour since we had more time to rest than the other team, not like we needed much from the start anyway.

On the other hand, we were greeted to the sight of a party of six Mercenaries walking over to us looking quite winded. I'm guessing their match must have been pretty intense unlike ours…

Our facilitator received their entry ticket from them and placed the number twenty on the board.

They were then told to prepare for their match and the leader came onto the stage with me, repeating the process of choosing who would be the first to send out our 'slaves' and who would draw the number of support we could give.

This time, it was the other way around and the other team got to start the first round while I drew the number of support we could give.

Digging my hand through the box, I grasped onto a piece of paper and pulled my hand out, revealing a piece of folded paper nestled in between my thumb and index finger.

I then passed it to the facilitator and he unfolded it to reveal the number one on it.

The faces of our opponent's team fell, obviously finding that low number to be a bad thing.

For our side though… After witnessing how they handled the previous team, I wasn't that worried about it anymore.

The person acting as the 'slave owner' of the other team, who happened to be a rather petite girl using a bow, trudged back to her teammates with a sullen look on her face. They then huddled together and started discussing amongst themselves, probably deciding on how many people and who they were sending out.

I wonder what their strategy was for them to be that disheartened for having such a low number of support?

Eventually, they turned back to face the arena.

"We will be sending three people."

The three people they were sending out consisted of two male Mahuns wearing heavy plated armour with one guy wielding a shield and sword and the other a shield and mace. The last was female Nekomata who was wearing light clothing and using two daggers as her main weapons.

So this seemed like a two tank and one assassin combo which seemed a little odd to me.

I looked at my companions who were looking back at me with anticipation clear on their faces. Since I couldn't pick all of them this time, I had to choose who to send out against them.

Hmm… Considering their team…

"Odeta, Katsuki and Eins."

Delmare simply nodded at my decision while Lisa showed me a pouty face, which I know for a fact that she didn't actually feel sad, she just wanted an excuse for me to comfort her.

I patted both of their heads while the other three ascended to the arena, Odeta taking the front while Eins took the rear with Katsuki in between them.

I've never really thought about it but having Eins as one of the participants kind of makes me redundant, doesn't it?

She could already do whatever I can do within the arena itself without being restricted by the support limit at all.

Err… Sucks to be our opponent I guess?

As I said, sweets are on the line here! I'll trample over you to get them if I have to, no hard feelings ok?

The facilitator immediately announced the start of the match and, almost immediately, the 'slave owner' of the other team shot an arrow almost faster than I could see.

There was a soft metallic 'clang' sound and I looked at my team to see Katsuki had deflected the arrow that had been intended for Odeta away from the Amrap.

She then had to raise her daggers as the Nekomata from the other team immediately leapt towards her, trying but failing to surprise her.

Odeta then ignored the two of them since she knew Katsuki would be able to handle her own opponent and leapt towards the guy with the shield and sword.

He barely even managed to raise his shield in time before the Amrap rammed straight into him.

It was quite something to see a grown Mahun man wearing heavy armour being sent flying through the air as though he weighed nothing.

The other Mahun tried to attack Odeta from the side but he wasn't paying attention to the final member of our team who had shot a [Spark Strike] that hit him directly in the chest.

He was stunned by the attack, which gave Odeta all the time she needed to turn back around and pick him up above her head before throwing him out of the arena.

On the other hand, Katsuki and the other Nekomata were exchanging a flurry of blows, both of their daggers lashing out like a whirlwind as their blades clashed in a deadly dance.

Their hands were getting faster and faster until it became a complete blur where you could not even see where their hands were.

Then, without warning, the Nekomata suddenly disappeared and Katsuki had her right dagger thrusted out in a stabbing pose at where the Nekomata's neck was.

The fact that Katsuki's tail was wagging a little told me that she was quite satisfied with how her own fight turned out.

I'm guessing the blows they traded earlier was simply just them trying to see who was the faster one?

"First round of the match goes to team number sixty. Team twenty, you can decide how many to enter in the second round," The facilitator announced.

Instead of answering him, she was looking at me with an odd expression on her face.

"Who… Who are you?" She asked, her eyes wide.

I tilted my head at her, "I'm just a mere contestant."

"There's no way… But your slave… This can't be… My arrow… No one has ever intercepted it before!"

Err… While I'll admit that her arrows are fast, I suppose Katsuki was just simply faster than she was? It wouldn't be the first time that Katsuki managed to deflect arrows after all.

I shrugged, "My team is just that good I suppose."

"No, no… This is impossible… This doesn't make sense…"

The facilitator cleared his throat, "Ahem… You need to choose the next participant, team twenty."

She turned back to look at the remaining two party members on her side, one of them was a mage while the other was obviously a healer.

"Do any one of you want to try?"

Both of them shook their heads.

She nodded before turning to the facilitator, "We forfeit."

He didn't even blink and immediately announced, "Team sixty wins, congratulations."

They then quickly packed up their things and left without looking back, as though they wanted to get out of there as quickly as they could.

Odeta came down from the arena looking unsatisfied, "Boo… Why are they all giving up so easily? Didn't they come here to fight? I wanna fight some strong opponents…"

Yeah… I think you're the only one in this hall that would complain about your opponents withdrawing Odeta…

Although… Now I have a question…

Are all our fights here going to end up with our opponents surrendering? Because I kind of have a feeling it would end like that…
