Chapter 633: An Explosion At The Harbour
Chapter 633: An Explosion At The Harbour
Now I had two unconscious girls in the room with me that I needed to take care of, one of them drunk while the other one was in a state of sexual bliss.
The good news is that I've managed to dress them back in their original clothes so they were at least decent.
And by original clothes, I meant their maid uniforms while I also went ahead to put on my dress and my mask as well.
Right… How do I get them out of here?
Does [Cleanse] work on them?
Hmm… I'd rather not wake them up though, since they look so cute sleeping like that.
Then how…
Oh wait, that's easy.
"Eins."
"Master," She greeted me the moment she popped out from my shadow.
I didn't even need to tell her what I wanted before she approached Lisa and picked her up in her arms.
I went to Delmare and did the same as well, the two of us walking out through the door with the two blissfully unconscious girls in our arms.
Unexpectedly, I found Odeta and Katsuki waiting for us outside.
My Inugami maid bowed, "Welcome back, Mistress. Did you have a good time?"
"How long have you been there?"
Odeta laughed, "Wahaha! We have been with Sister the enti--"
Katsuki quickly clamped the Amrap's mouth shut with her hand and straightened herself, "We have only just arrived, Mistress. Would you like to leave soon?"
I'm just going to pretend like I did not hear Odeta's words and nodded at Katsuki.
Odeta then picked Delmare off my arms and lifted her up on her shoulders like she was a sack of potatoes.
I feel a little bad for her but I suppose she wouldn't remember this anyway since she's still asleep.
Anyway, I think I'll just go with Katsuki's suggestion and leave the exhibition now. I've had enough sex for the entire week in the past few hours already… A drunk Delmare and a lust-crazed Lisa really wrung everything out from me.
I even passed out like two times during the session but they just kept going.
Thankfully, I managed to outlast them in the end and that's how we're in this situation now.
The six of us thus made our way out of the colosseum and I found a weird sight on the way.
As we neared the entrance, I saw the manager guy tied up and dragged along by some slaves towards another corridor for some reason.
I only managed to catch a glimpse of it so I wasn't even really sure if that was him and that I wasn't seeing things.
I decided that it must be someone else that was being dragged away because I don't think he would be subjected to something like that as the manager here, right?
Yeah… Must be someone else.
Anyway, now that we're actually out of the place, I suddenly felt a little hungry.
Probably because of the sex marathon I had earlier but I definitely want something to eat now… Preferably something sweet? Oh~ I'll just go ahead and make use of that coupon I got from the exhibition yesterday!
Hmm… I wonder if they are still open right now?
Right as I was about to suggest to the girls to check out the patisseries listed on the voucher, a huge explosion rocked through the city that sent tremors through the ground.
I almost lost my footing but Odeta steadied me with her hand on my shoulder.
"What was that?" I asked, even as the people around us voiced out similar queries.
Katsuki then pointed at the distance where a large plume of black smoke was rising up into the air.
If I remember correctly… That was the direction of the port.
Don't tell me… Emilia?
I looked at the others and they seemed to have the same conclusion as I did by the look on their faces.
We immediately started running in the direction of the smoke, going against the crowd who were running away from it.
I took the chance to cast [Cleanse] on Delmare and Lisa and had both of them woken up. Odeta and Eins then proceeded to fill them in on what was going on while we were still running, bringing them up to speed on our current situation.
I silently thanked the both of them in my heart as we reached the harbour where the smoke was coming from.
What we saw there was something akin to hell as we found Emilia's ship engulfed in flames which cast a hellish red glow on its surroundings.
There were people screaming and shouting all around us with a mix of people who were trying to run away from the fire and others who were trying to put the fire out with hydromancy magic.
Damn… I don't even know if this fire was something done by Emilia or her family…
I turned to Katsuki, "Can you find her?"
My Inugami maid paused for a moment before pursing her lips, "Unfortunately, with all the smoke and ash, it would be quite difficult for me to find her in this situation, Mistress…"
I expected as much… But how are we supposed to find her in this chaos?
With just the six of us, I would say it was pretty much impossible…
That's why I decided that this was not the time to hold back and called out all my Shadow Guards with the single instruction of finding Emilia.
I then had them spread out throughout the harbour while the rest of the girls also split up to look for her.
As for myself, I used [Shadow Wall] and [Shadow Glide] to wrap myself in darkness before rushing towards the burning ship.
I was hoping that this was all part of Emilia's plan and it was a final farewell gift she was giving to her family before she escaped. But I would think that if she was planning something this drastic, she would at least have told me ahead of time before doing this.
After all, she intends to seek shelter in our family so doing something this big without telling us would not help her much.
Right now, my destination was the captain's quarters since I figured she would most likely be there before this happened.
Relying on my memory of the place, I navigated through the flames to look for the back entrance that would lead me to the room in question.
The corridor itself was fine but when I reached the entrance to the room, a wave of unbearable heat immediately enveloped me.
I choked on my own breath but managed to use [Air Pocket] to create a sphere of breathable air around me.
Unfortunately, it did nothing to dispel the heat so I just had to deal with it for now.
Stepping inside the quarters, I found the entire room engulfed in flames and a burning pillar had fallen across the entrance barred my way forward.
I considered turning back since I assumed that she wouldn't be found in a room like this until I heard a cough coming from inside.
Not willing to risk it, I used [Link Portal] to teleport the burning pillar away and into the room on top of another pile of burning debris.
I then proceeded to advance into the room while using [Aqua Ball] to put out the fires that were in my way.
"Emilia?! Emilia!! Where are you?!" I called out, hoping to hear some form of response for me to pinpoint her location.
That came in another cough and I immediately swivelled to the side to search for her, finding a figure leaning against a broken table on the ground behind a pile of burning debris.
The figure had a katana in their hands and I spied several dead Nekomatas around her, all of them with slash wounds around their bodies.
That must be Emilia.
I could try and put out the fire in between us to get to her but I don't know how long she had been in the fire so she could already be suffering from oxygen deficiency. I had to get her out of here as quickly as I could.
Using [Link Portal] again, I teleported her over to me and I caught her in my arms just as she dropped down from above.
Her immediate reaction was to try and swing her katana at me, but it seems like she was already weakened quite considerably since I easily caught her swing with my tail.
Emilia's eyes furrowed and tried to look at me with unfocused eyes, as though trying to figure out who I was.
"It's alright, it's me, Emilia. I got you."
I wasn't sure if she heard me or not but since she relaxed, I can only assume she did.
Her body then went limp and she lost her grip on her katana, letting it clatter noisily on the floor.
She was still breathing, thankfully, so she must have fainted.
I picked the sword up and placed it in the sheath on her waist before carrying her out of here, using a quick [Heal] on her as I left the room.
Seriously though, what the heck happened here?
