Chapter 642: We're Camping Out Tonight
Chapter 642: We're Camping Out Tonight
That was a very weird vision that Lisa showed me… Could the guy actually be telling the truth about the demon lord?
I mean… That's the only thing that could explain what I just saw.
No doubt, it was something that Lisa's Clairvoyance picked up and it definitely had something to do with this self-proclaimed hero that we just met.
As we continued to walk through the In-Between Planes, I fell behind to walk beside Lisa and lowered my voice so that no one else could hear.
"Do you think that a demon lord would actually appear?" I asked.
She hesitated for a moment, "I… Do not know… It's too vague to be sure but I feel that it certainly had something to do with that guy."
"Because he told us about the demon lord?"
"No, because I was thinking about how to cuck him~"
…
I smacked Lisa on the ass, causing her to let out a surprised yelp that got a few of the servants to turn back to see what was going on..
"Ahhhn~ Harder, Mistress~" She moaned, giving me a pleading look.
The other servants that had looked back immediately turned away when they realised what had happened. I guess they're already used to Lisa being a massive pervert.
"Seriously. What was that?" I asked.
"Honestly? I don't know. It might just be some random monster we might meet in the future. It doesn't really mean that there would be a demon lord but I think we would meet those people again."
"Can you like… I dunno… Make the vision clearer?"
I know that might be asking a lot but who knows? Maybe that was possible?
Surprisingly, Lisa actually nodded, "I could try and cast some Clairvoyance spells tonight and see if I get anything. I'll let you know about it if I do."
"Should we tell the others?" I asked, referring to Katsuki, Odeta Delamre and Emilia.
"Hmm… I would rather not actually. Odeta would want to run off and challenge it if she knows about it. Katsuki would feel more pressured to keep you safe, Delmare would be stressed about you being in danger and Emilia… Well she wouldn't really care much, honestly."
Oh wow, I'm actually surprised to hear Lisa say that. I guess she really does care about everyone else despite how she might look.
Speaking of which… I wonder how Tiara is doing?
We reached our exit without any other interruptions and returned to a rather familiar snowy landscape.
And by that… I mean that it is currently snowing quite heavily right now.
Scratch that, there's a goddamn blizzard.
Crystal's family shivered at the sight of the snow before they realised that they did not feel cold despite being knee deep in snow. That's the uniform enchantments for you.
Though… That doesn't really help with the wind that was blowing in our face right now.
A few of the maids immediately started chanting and created a shield of air around us. Blocking out the blizzard from affecting us.
Mary turned to Mother, "Should we head to the village, Madam?"
Mother looked up at the sky and thought for a moment, "Fufu… I suppose it would not be safe to walk in these circumstances. Look for shelter, Mary."
"At once, Madam."
When the Trasif disappeared, Emilia came up to me with a scowl on her face.
"You told me the training camp was at the Frostiminir Kingdom, didn't you?"
I nodded, "Yes? Why?"
"You didn't tell me that it would be on the surface of the mountain instead of within the mountains itself… I thought we were training inside caves and Dungeons, not camping outside in the snow! I didn't even pack any outdoor stuff for myself!"
Ah… I suppose I might have neglected mentioning that because I forgot the Rejmar Kingdom was also there but underneath our feet…
I waved at her, "We'll not actually be camping out in the snow though… We're staying at a Magridar village that seems to be affiliated with our family so you don't need to worry about trying to survive in the cold. Besides, the uniform we have protects you from the cold, anyway."
She looked down at herself, which also drew my gaze to the maid uniform she was wearing and seriously… She looks really, really cute in it.
"Hmm… I suppose that will have to do… But how does your mo… I mean… How does the Madam even know my sizes? This uniform fits me perfectly! Did you know I was even given underwear as well?!"
I shrugged, "I'm honestly not surprised. This is my Mother we're talking about after all."
She shuddered, "Ugh… I guess it would be better for me not to think about it…"
Mary then returned at that time, "Madam, I have found a cave just north of here. It's a short trek there but it will shelter us from the blizzard."
"Ufufufu~ Perfect then~ Let's go there and wait out the storm."
The Head Maid then took over the lead and started guiding us towards the cave she found.
All of us were huddled together inside the shield our mages were maintaining and I was infinitely grateful that we had something like this, especially since we still needed to trudge through the knee high snow to get to our destination.
That would have royally sucked if we had wind blowing in our faces at the same time.
It took us a good fifteen minutes to reach the cave when Mary only left and returned in less than two. I also realised that there was the corpse of a giant cyclops monster left at the side of the cave.
I'm going to guess that the cyclops was the original resident of the cave when Mary found it and she killed it before dumping the body outside to make space for us. All of that done in less than two minutes…
Also… I'm pretty sure that she also did some cleaning inside the cave as well because I saw some bones and animal carcasses dumped beside the cyclop's corpse when we entered the cave.
Truly a super maid.
Our mages released the barrier spell after we entered the cave and everyone found a spot to plop themselves down to shake off the snow, myself included.
And by that, I meant having Katsuki help me brush off the snow which she was insistent on doing for me before she did herself.
Lisa joined in as well but she focused mostly on my boobs that barely had any snow on them and I decided to just let her do what she wanted.
Mother looked outside the cave before turning to us, "Seems like the blizzard would continue for the rest of the day now, my dears. I suggest that we set up camp here for the day~"
Emilia gave me a pointed look.
Hey! How was I supposed to account for the blizzard?! It's not like I can control the weather, you know?! If I could, I would make it rain everyday!
Rain sweets, I mean. Heh heh~
Anyway, no point crying about it now, we'll just have to camp in the cave for the day. And if Emilia needs anything, we can always head to that Rejmar outpost to buy what she lacks during our free time.
We split off into groups and my group basically used my camping stuff inside my Pack of Folding to set up our camp which I felt was cheating a little since the others had to make do with whatever they could find in the cave which included making use of the carcasses outside of the cave.
That meant that while the others were still busy with their own camp preparations, my group found ourselves with nothing to do.
Seeing that the cave did not end here, I suggested that we go ahead and explore the interior to see if there was anything else inside. Wouldn't want a second cyclops to show up and surprise us in the middle of the night after all.
That's putting aside the fact that Mary could probably deal with it just as easily as the first one.
With Emilia being the newest addition to our party, we went inside the cave with my [Spotlight] illuminating the way.
"Do you think there's a Dungeon in this cave?" Lisa asked.
Emilia huffed, "I actually wouldn't be surprised if there was one. For a cyclops to choose this place as their home this close to a Waystone? It might be the guardian of that Dungeon's entrance."
Oh geez, all I want right now is just to check out the rest of the cave, not go on another Dungeon dive… What's more, wasn't there the new Dungeon that was just found not too far from here as well? The one where that stupid party betrayed me to try and steal my stuff from me?
What are the odds that there's another Dungeon here not more than a day's trek from there?
"Oh hey, look. What do we have over there?!"
… Wait, really?
I turned to look thinking that there was actually an entrance to a Dungeon here, only to see that it was just a large hole in the wall that was big enough for a Magridar to fit through,
"Hey, wanna go in for a quick peek?" Lisa suggested.
…
Why not?
