Chapter 168

She had been married to Alastor for four years. However, the mere four years meant nothing for Alastor.

It was time to end everything.

It was time to finish.

She had limited time to live. Thus, she wanted to live her life to the fullest instead of wasting it on Alastor and Felicia.

“Alastor, do you know? I deceived myself into giving you another chance when you wanted to try again. After all, we had been together for four years. I didn’t believe you didn’t feel anything for me at all. I also wanted to give myself more hope. It’s been four years. How can it just end like this?” Anastasia choked.

“Then let’s…just try again, okay?” Alastor pleaded with Anastasia in a low voice.

When the car arrived at the yard, Alastor got off and opened the door for Anastasia. “Anastasia…I didn’t do anything wrong…”

Alastor still felt wronged. Alastor thought that he had done nothing wrong in this marriage.

That night with Felicia was an accident.

He had never thought Felicia would get pregnant, nor did he think she would use her pregnancy against him. “Alastor, please let me go,” Anastasia said calmly.

“No way…” Alastor grabbed the door and refused to let

1. He didn’t want to let go.

Anastasia sighed and didn’t continue to argue with Alastor.

Pushing Alastor away, Anastasia entered the door.

“Annie…” Seeing that Anastasia was about to enter the guest room, Alastor was getting anxious.

“Do you expect me to sleep in the same room with you?” Anastasia questioned.

Alastor lowered his head. “No… I just want to talk to you.”

For some reason, Alastor felt panicked.

The calmer Anastasia was, the more flustered he became.

Alastor would rather Anastasia hysterically question why he left her that night and chose Felicia over the art exhibition he agreed to participate in.

However, Anastasia calmly asked him to get the divorce certificate the following day.

Although Alastor knew getting a divorce certificate was impossible if he disagreed, he still panicked.

He didn’t know why he was flustered.

Alastor wondered if he felt nothing for Anastasia during the four years of marriage.

It was impossible, though.

Back in the room, Anastasia sat quietly on the bed.

She wondered how she could persuade Alastor to get the divorce certificate.

She was so eager to get rid of him.

Anastasia raised her hand and bit her finger.

“What can I do?” she thought.

Felicia sent a WhatsApp again, asking if Anastasia was conceited: [Anastasia, aren’t you just proud? I didn’t expect you to be so lucky. Even Samuel went to your art exhibition in person. Jason sold himself to get you this opportunity. You’re so cunning.] Felicia’s words were filled with jealousy.

Felicia had always been filthy with her words.

After a long silence, Anastasia decided to block Felicia.

Anastasia didn’t initially block Felicia as she intended to use their conversation to sue Alastor for adultery.

However, Anastasia didn’t have the energy to do so.

She just wanted Alastor to divorce as soon as possible.

After blocking Felicia, Anastasia lay weakly on the bed.

She felt much more relieved.

“Annie…” Alastor knocked on the door. “Are you asleep?”

Anastasia didn’t answer Alastor.

“Can we talk?” Alastor stood outside the door and wanted to talk with Anastasia.

However, Anastasia didn’t answer.

“Anastasia, you’re right. I wouldn’t have waited until now if I had no feelings for you after four years of marriage,” Alastor said bitterly. “I admit I had a blitz marriage with you as I wanted to get the shares. I thought you didn’t have a good family background and are easy to control…” Alastor leaned against the door and slowly slid on the ground.

Anastasia listened quietly without any response.
