Wisp! Awaken in the Magical World

Chapter 131: Me Too!

Chapter 131: Me Too!

Milia, Nori, and Alvin already had such difficulty to defeat the Fetou Centipede before, a Level Four Magic Beast. And they did that while they had access to all their meridians and magic channels. Now, Linfel asked for Milia and Alvin to fight without Nori and not use more than half of their meridians at the same time. Not to mention, they had to swap to other meridians every thirty seconds.

"Is he trying to kill us?" Milia complained as she stepped ahead.

Alvin didn't even feel like laughing. "I've asked myself that question hundreds of times during the time Linfel and I were traveling together..."

Finally, the Zoinhic Hawk arrived, diving through the trees while its magic Energy controlled the Magic Energy in its surroundings. A whirlwind of wind element appeared on both its wings, which spun at a speed capable of cutting its enemies.

Alvin was just about to step ahead again. However, Milia took the front this time, using only half of her meridians to control her fire element. A sphere of fire quickly took form, and she used her Magic Energy to shoot that forward.

The two whirlwinds on the Hawk's wings also shot in Milia's direction. They hit Milia's fireball, and acting as fuel, an explosion took place in midair.

*Boom!*

Alvin understood Milia's plan. He immediately used the explosion as a cover and stomped the ground. Several earth spikes shot upwards until they reached Alvin's shoulder in height. Right after, Alvin filled his fists with Earth Element and created two gauntlets of Earth before punching forward.

*Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang!*

The Earth Spikes were used like bullets, passing through the explosion's aftermath and coming on the other side.

The Hawk was taken aback by the sudden appearance of those spikes and flew downwards to escape. Although it was a Level Four Magic Beast, it didn't have a very high defense like the Fetou Centipede.

Yet, as soon as it dodged the spikes, another attack came from below, this one burning with flames. Milia didn't have Nori, but that didn't mean she couldn't create a blade of flames with her Magic Energy alone.

Linfel watched their work in group and nodded, satisfied. 'They don't have much Magic Energy to work with due to the restrictions I created. That said, being on the defense would only bring their destruction. Milia understood it immediately and took the initiative. Above all, she understood her Fire Element could be used to much greater efficiency against the Hawk's wind element.

Alvin also noticed that and made sure to give support. His Magic Energy control is still many times better than Milia's, but she is doing pretty well.'

Because Milia and Alvin couldn't use too much Magic Energy, their attacks didn't have much power behind them. The Hawk got injured a few times, but it also managed to injure Milia and Alvin. Milia and Alvin's only advantage was never to use the trees, so the Hawk would have a hard time maneuvering.

Their fight lasted another ten minutes, and the Hawk finally understood it most likely wouldn't win easily. It was probably a 50-50 to both sides. So it turned around and tried to flee. It could hunt something else.

Alvin and Milia bitterly smiled as they saw that. They couldn't fly like the Hawk, so they obviously couldn't give chase. However...

*Bang!*

Out of nowhere, a burst of Wind Element happened right above the Zoinhic Hawk. Wind Element was supposed to be his main weapon, but even the Hawk couldn't resist that burst. The blast of Wind immediately forced it downwards, and it barely managed to stabilize itself before hitting the ground.

Nori looked at Linfel, impressed. While Milia and Alvin fought, he saw Linfel preparing those sphere of Wind Element and hiding them between the foliage of the trees. When the Hawk tried to escape, Linfel burst one of them. Not only that, Linfel made it in a way that the Hawk would not be able to flee but wouldn't be hurt either. 'I knew his control was incredible, but this is ridiculous...'

Alvin and Milia were taken aback, but they quickly understood what happened. Without another choice, they attacked the Hawk once again, and the Hawk obviously retaliated. Their struggles continued.

It wasn't before twenty minutes went by that Alvin managed to land a clean hit with his Earth Spike fist in one of the Hawk's wings, breaking its bones. From there onwards, they held the absolute advantaged, and the Hawk was finished shortly after.

Both Alvin and Milia were covered in cuts and bleeding from everywhere, Milia especially since she wasn't very good at defense like Alvin. She was also a lot worse in Magic Energy reserves since her control was way below Alvin's. Nonetheless, she managed to last to the end.

Nori quickly approached, worried. "This is not good. You are too hurt! How are we going to continue this mission if you are in this state?"

Milia laid down on her back, breathing with difficulty. "At... At least... we managed to fulfill Linfel's task."

Linfel arrived at her side a moment later. "That you did. Alright, let's take care of your injuries. Alvin, go ahead and collect the core of that Hawk. It is another Level Four Core, after all."

Alvin nodded and bore the pain of the injuries, leaving Linfel's side. He knew what was going to happen next.

*Blub, blub, blub...*

Suddenly, several spheres of water appeared above Milia before slowly coming down. Each one of them was filled with rich and pure Magic Energy. They landed on all of Milia's injuries, and the Magic Energy inside began to work on them.

Milia didn't have the strength to even try to fight against it, so she just let Linfel do as he wished. She wasn't concerned Linfel would do anything to her either, so it was fine.

*Ugh...*

Milia felt all her injuries, internal and external, hurting at the same time. But that wasn't all. She was also able to see that the injuries began to heal slowly. "This..."

Nori was also surprised. "What kind of ability is this?"

Linfel quickly explained. "Maguses' bodies are highly receptive to Magic Energy, especially extremely pure Magic Energy, like mine. I practiced this on Alvin many times until I understood how to activate the cells through my Magic Energy to increase the speed of healing. It can't be used during battle since it needs high precision and a lot of time.

We are obviously not battling anything now, so I have enough time to work on her."

"You are truly overpowered, you know?" Alvin finally returned, already carrying the Core in his hand. Not only that, he also brought the tail feathers and the talons of the Hawks. They were materials that could be sold to the contractors.

"It is not that incredible. Suppose you have an affinity with Water Element and Pure Magic Energy. In that case, you should be able to do something similar," Linfel explained.

Alvin sighed. "I'm still to meet anyone with Magic Energy as pure as yours, you know?"

"Well, that's true. Hahaha!" Linfel laughed. "Anyway, sit down and focus on recovering your Magic Energy. Milia, Alvin, go back to using the Meridians like I mentioned. Every second not doing it is a second of training wasted."

Nori got angry. "Can't you see how injured both of them are? Let them recover first!" Surprisingly, he even defended Alvin this time.

"Really?" Linfel pointed at Alvin. The guy had already started to follow Linfel's orders even though he was injured as well.

Milia saw that and gritted her teeth. "Ten meridians, ten meridians..."

Nori now felt like he was the only one being lazy. "Fine! I'll do that too!"
