Wisp! Awaken in the Magical World

Chapter 133: Red Spots

Chapter 133: Red Spots

Alvin and Milia didn't know what to say. Sure, they cores and other materials were important, no doubt. But above all, Linfel's strength while being at Level Three seemed just ridiculous. "Ignore it, Milia," said Alvin. "Thinking too much about it will needlessly drive you crazy."

Milia began to get used to that. "I see what you mean..."

Nori looked into his own MCOM and found it strange. "Linfel said we should reach the settlement in three days... but the settlement is only one day ahead from what I'm seeing in the map."

Alvin and Milia trembled a little and checked their own MCOMs as well. "Indeed. We aren't that far, Linfel."

Linfel nodded. "Obviously not. However, a single extra day of training is far from enough. We need to use this opportunity well, so I selected another route that will take a long roundabout before getting there. There is no need to thank me. I'm doing it for our mutual good."

Alvin, Milia, and Nori didn't feel very happy, though. Nonetheless, they knew he was doing it for them... or perhaps he was having fun seeing them suffer? Maybe a little of both. In any case, they asked for it, and Linfel was taking it seriously.

Another day, another and danger-filled training. Linfel didn't hold back, having Milia, Nori, and Alvin repeat the same process as the previous days but with added difficulty.

"Why the hell did you swap meridians earlier?!"

*Bzzz!*

*Ouch!*

"What? You were going to die if you didn't? Then you did wrong from the very start!"

*Bzzz!*

*Ghhh!*

"Uh? Do I look like I care? Since I said to use only ten percent of Magic Energy through the Magic Channels of your core, you have to use only ten percent of Magic Energy!"

*Bzzz!*

*Fuck!*

Not only did Milia and Alvin's buttocks smell like cooked meat, but even Nori's core had more black marks than his brown color at Level Three. Linfel was spartan to a fault. Of course, Linfel would still heal them once in a while when he saw they got in too bad of a shape. However, that would only happen after a long time of hellish struggle.

During the second night, Milia made sure to make her bed very far from Alvin, all to make sure that she would roll over and entangle him once more... which proved ineffective. When she opened her eyes again, her own bed of leaves was several meters away while she held Alvin very, very comfortably. "That's not possible!"

Alvin tried to raise his hand, which was a little hard since she held him hard. "Wo-Would you let me go first?"

"Ah!" Milia quickly got away. Then, she looked at Linfel not far away... and there were more Level Four Magic Beast bodies around. She ignored that this time, though. "Linfel! It must be you.

You are carrying me to Alvin, aren't you?"

Linfel looked back at Milia, confused. "Hum? Does that mean you wanted me to carry you to him? Then why don't you simply go sleep with him from the start?"

"No!" Milia immediately denied it. "I'm saying you are carrying me there on purpose!"

"Is that true, Linfel?" Alvin asked, a little disappointed. If that's the case, then Milia wasn't really coming for him on her own.

Yet, Linfel felt wronged. "I did no such thing, look!" He then turned his MCOM to Milia and Alvin, and a recording began to play. In the middle of the night, just a little bit over an hour after they had fallen asleep. There, Milia suddenly got up on her own and made her way to Alvin's side.

She got down on his bed of leaves, hugged him tight, and finally settled down with a very big and satisfied smile on her face. She couldn't look any happier.

Alvin glanced at Milia, who had her hands covering her face. She now couldn't deny it. "It... It must be the fatigue. Yes! The nights were cold, and I automatically looked for the closest source of heat.

That's it! Yes, absolutely!"

Linfel nodded. "I see... humans are creatures of warm blood, after all." The clueless wisp believed Milia's words without even questioning.

Somehow, Milia felt relieved Linfel was like that. Still, there was an Alvin on the side who seemed to try to hold his laugh. "You! Don't say anything!"

Alvin raised his hands. "Yes. I won't say anything."

Nori woke up not long after. "What are you guys talking about?"

Milia immediately cut him off. "Nothing! Let's keep going!"

"Well said!" Linfel nodded approvingly. "Training first, the rest is the rest. Let's go!"

Finally, through Milia, Nori, and Alvin's efforts, they managed to get to their destination. It only took them three days, but it felt as well an eternity. As for the nights of sleepwalking... Milia basically asked Linfel in secret to make sure she wouldn't go to his side, and Linfel helped.

She simply came with an excuse that moving during the night would interfere with her fatigue recover, which Linfel bought quite easily.

"Look!" Alvin's eyes shined with hope. "It's the settlement!"

Milia's dead-looking eyes seemed to react as her face raised in the direction Alvin pointed at. As if finding paradise itself, her eyes became teary.

Even Nori's feeble Magic Energy around his cores seemed to increase in concentration when he noticed the same place.

A few Maguses could be seen leaving while some others arrived. It was quite a busy settlement in the middle of the Magic Beast Forest. No doubt it had some kind of Magical Array in place that kept the Magic Beasts away.

Linfel, obviously, noticed that as well. "Hum... I guess we are finally here. That's good enough. However, you should be careful. Lift your MCOMs and turn them in the direction of the settlement with the camera activated.

Make sure the Ventis Sect App is open as well."

Alvin and the others did as Linfel mentioned. Immediately, hundreds of red spots appeared with several different names. "This..."

Linfel smiled, excited. "This is a fun place, full of killers. Of course, majority here are still in the clean since there are bound to be tens of thousands of Maguses and Familiars around. Still, there seems to be some rules in place to prevent people from ganging up on the killers. In any case, just be careful. Let's go."
